    Italian hoagie! Very good!
    Brendan M.

I got the Italian today and boy was it delicious. Fresh Conshohocken bakery roll, good balance of meat to green ratio. The lettuce and onions on my hoagie were crisp and fresh. The staff was super friendly and the price was great. Hoagie, drink, and a bag of chips for under $10. You can't beat that. I will be there often now that I know about it.

Good fries. I thought everything else was very standard, and otherwise not special. The staff is really friendly!

It's the physical place as it builds up for better or worse, mostly worse, with all the trash architecture and traffic, and many of the people, sometimes for the worse. Folks that just won't modernize. Read the reviews on this Jersey Mikes at 500 Forty-Foot Road (40 ft road? more bizarre) in Hatfield, PA. They all point to one grey-haired middle age culprit who is continually coming off rude to customers. And he is. Totally. But he's not cursing out or antagonizing customers. He's just rude. However, it doesn't seem to be personal, and he doesn't think he is, so we will overlook it. Fellow lunchers, just be aware that the man behind the counter, should you chance him serving you, will look at you weird, ask for several clarifications in either a demanding or blasé manner, maybe utter some snarky or inappropriate comment, but it's his way and he can't and won't change it. Just go with it this time. We don't want Mickey (who answers the several bad reviews) to fire him. This is Pennsylvania and maybe here, it should stay a little old school stand-off ish.

Every other time I've been to a Jersey Mikes (Doylestown or Horsham locations) I'm used to a very hearty sandwich I can't finish. I split half of the large size with my fiancé and it was pitifully filled. Very skimpy and the lunch meat was so unbelievably thin it was literally thinner than paper. I ordered the Italian and took out the pepperoni and pulled salami with it because they were so thin they stuck together unnoticed. I'm all for thin cut but if you're gonna have it sliced that thin, pack it on. It wasn't the worst hoagie I've ever ordered, but again, just expected more quality from Mike's. They did remember and pack my pepper spread on the side and gave a decent size container of it - so they get points for that.

As soon as I walked through the doors at Amici, the ambiance made me feel transported back to those wonderful places I remember from so long ago. It was a feeling of comfort, familiarity, and cravings for all the deliciousness housed within. The bread counter on the left was the first stop where I picked up a marble rye and some hoagie rolls. The staff were extremely friendly with suggestions and slicing up the loaf we got. Then it was on pick up two small tomato pies, which are a box of tasty goodness. Had to grab a couple of the biggest pickles I've ever seen. And we couldn't get out of the door without grabbing a small selection of cookies. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste any of their sandwiches but the menu had my mouth watering. They offer a good selection of pastas, sauces, and other products both sweet or savory. All in all, you cannot go wrong making Amici a regular stop of your own.

It's really a rather small shop with one side being the bakery and the other the deli. 10/10 their cannolis. It's hard to find any bakery that stuffs them fresh but they do! I like that that carry items from other bigger Italian markets like Corropolese and Talluto's. This time around I ordered some sandwiches to go and my dad was super impressed with the Italian hoagie I ordered for him. All the sandwiches come with pickles. You do have to pay extra for hot peppers. The staff is nice and the place is always clean, I'd be interested to try more of their sandwiches as they had a pretty decent menu. Definitely a nice spot in the middle of a Lansdale strip mall.
