Consistently the same service as the one in DTLA except the parking is free. Street parking only though. Get free candy or 10% off when you check in, depending if they have check in offer. So I'm headed to Vegas for the weekend and I wanted to do something special for my hubby since we NEVER have a vacation from the kids... so I thought "why not get a brazilian wax?".. I then realized I still had a groupon that had expired last year from Wax Candy and since they came HIGHLY RECOMMENDED back then, I jumped on it! I guess with the excitement of getting my first wax at a "discounted rate", I forgot that I had never done this before and I began to freak out!( before even making my appt..LOL) I called to set up an appointment for Thursday because no slots were open after 5:00pm until then. The receptionist then offered to take my number and call me if anyone cancelled after 5pm so that I could come before! (Pretty nice of them) Before I knew it, my phone was ringing (the same day) telling me that a slot opened for 5:45! Again, my excitement for availability took over my fear of being waxed for the first time, until I got there. I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist and Parada (Owner). They both were so sweet, knew right away that it was my first time. Parada then said she was ready and to follow her.. WHOA! WAIT! ALREADY?! I wasn't mentally prepared yet!! lol She took me into a private room and gave me my instructions. Within minutes myself and Parada were in deep conversation and she was waxing away!! She was so fast, gentle, and sweet the entire time! I just knew that I would be screaming, jerking, and begging for mercy on my poor little princess.. but she made me so comfortable! Reid!!! She took my waxing (down there) virginity. She was so sweet and amazing! She has 10 years of experience, and I felt in safe, kind hands the entire time. Wonderful experience. I got the Brazilian + inner/outer tushy and I didn't feel awkward or embarrassed at all! I also was able to schedule my appointment all via email which made things much easier for me during the work week (who wants to schedule that kind of appointment in cubical land?!). I went in on a Friday morning at 9:30, and no one else was there I don't think, so that was really nice. I understand the comments about the loft-style but hay ya know what, if I'm getting waxed down there and already exposed might as well talk about it and ask all my personal questions like "is my hair thicker or thinner relatively speaking?" I went here last week to get my arms and upper legs waxed before a trip and had the worst experience. The girl , while sweet, was so rough! I usually have a high tolerance for pain but the way she waxed me was so painful. While she was waxing me, she pointed out she gave me a bruise on one arm and will give me a discount, which at that time I thought was nice of her. But when I got home, I saw 4 big bruises on my arms (2 on each arm) and I big bruise on my thigh. And there were hair left on my arm. Really disappointment with this place ... read more

Let me start off by saying I'm horrible with names, so I can't give enough credit to the lady who waxed me. I promise I will update as soon as I get her name (sorry). The real reason for writing this review is that this was, BY FAR, the least painful waxing experience I've ever had! Not even close! The lady kept saying "ok, this might hurt", but every time she did, I barely blinked. I actually was sending out a few texts while she was working! Couldn't believe it! Ha! The place is a little hard to see from the street, but very clean inside and everyone is super friendly and inviting. It's not a Beverly Hills salon, so don't expect opulent decor or bells and whistles. The good news is, you don't have to pay for that crap here! It cost me about 20 bucks less than it usually does at other salons. Savings AND a near pain free experience??? Sign me up! read more

I was lucky that when I arrived there was parking available, but I can imagine how difficult it can be to find a space. I was reluctant to go to Wax Candy because I really loved the lady I use to go to, BUT Im glad I found Wax Candy!!!! This was the 1st Brazilian that was painless. Yes, I said PAINLESS. I had Kelly (who was warm and outgoing) and did an excellent job. When she was done, I mentioned that I had never had a Brazilian that did not hurt.
