I got waxed for the first time with my friend Kiki but she was unavailable because she had to have surgery and I wanted to wait but I couldn't. I tried waxing myself and took some skin off a few months ago... never waxing myself again! I called them and the woman sounded nice and booked me for an early evening spot. I was nannying PLUS I had my son for the week. So taking care of 3 boys was a handful! So thankfully, they worked with my appt and were able to push it back by an hr. The boys came in and waited in the lobby and the girls were patient while I rushed in and got taken care of by Bri. She was so nice and communicative and fast. this review isn't to bash any waxer, but it's just to make customers aware that if you have a regular girl that you see for any service, I recommend sticking to her I've been coming to this European wax center over the past 3 years or so, and at one point i was able to confidently say that I saw about three different ladies that i knew would do amazing each time. over time they somehow have either left or been fired leaving me only one great option to see and it's been Leslie. I buy the passes because I expect quality service, I came in to get my eyebrows done the other day, not by leslie... big mistake!! I told the waxer i had never seen before repeated times to just clean my brows, and she mentioned back to me "okay just to clean up" which is what I wanted.. often times you leave from a service and think you look fine. Just to realize half of your hair from the top of your eyebrow has been ripped out. Once again, it's not to bash a waxer but just to give the heads up to stick to your normal girl if you have one.. wax passes are pricey and it's disappointing to get shorted with the quality read more

Honestly it's a bit hit or miss depending on who you get as a waxer which can be said for any place, however I always find they're rushing me out, constantly pushing upsells on me and it's the most expensive place I've been, even tho I buy packages to bring down the price. read more

Why make an appointment if they take walk-ins and they make you wait? My appointment was for 6:30pm, it is now 6:55pm and a few people are ahead of me!! The receptionist said they are really busy today. That is no excuse if you have an appointment!! I originally had an appointment last week and they cancelled my appointment because the person didn't show up for work and they couldn't accommodate me with anyone else!! I have been going to this waxing company since 2013! I was referred by a friend and have been going ever since. I do not always have the same wax specialist due to my schedule, but all of them do a great job except maybe one girl. This one girl, unfortunately I don't remember her name, actually ripped a small part of my skin on my face instead of just my hair. I was bleeding slightly and it definitely stung for a few days. I definitely never want to go to her ever again. All employees are wearing masks and customers must wear masks unless they are getting their upper lip waxed. Unlike other locations, this one forces you to use the QR Code on their door to check in and then they will text you when they are ready for you, so I just waited right outside until I received that text. Once you walk in, that is when they check your temperature and then you are good to go. Overall, I love this waxing company and will never go anywhere else. I hope they do not close again due to COVID so I am forced to go somewhere else. European wax center has been my go to for Brazilian waxes since October of 2022. I use to get sugared but was experiencing too many ingrown hairs & wanted to try hard waxing again. I have seen better results & hard wax is way less painful in my opinion. Monica is a great Estethician & really makes sure to walk you through each wax pull & tweez every little hair. EWC is a more straight to the point salon & I am fine with that. I never have been into a glass of champagne at 1pm on a Tuesday if ya know what I mean, which really is just an excuse for salons to be overpriced and try to charm you with silly glamour but not better services! Keymara and Shawnie are the girls to come to when getting waxed at this location! These two wax specialists have been at this location for years, and have been incredibly consistent when ownership with this location changed. They both are incredibly knowledgeable, talented, comforting, quick, friendly, trustworthy... the list goes on! Booking with them is the best thing you can do for yourself! As far as EWC goes, it's a great company! There are things to consider when choosing EWC and this location specifically. The location here is incredibly busy! There isn't a parking lot, so relying on street parking/ metered parking in this busy area can be hard. Plan accordingly! The company (not just this location) has a 9 minute grace period for being late, but trust me...relying on this grace period isn't something you should regularly do, as this is a busy location and you will cause the waxers to run behind. Also, who wants to have a rushed brazilian or eyebrow wax? I know I don't! EWC also has some great incentives to wax with them as well. They have discounts for first-time guest waxes, wax passes that genuinely do save you money (and some can be split into payments), a point system/ referral system so that you can earn money to use for services/ products, phenomenal wax, and products that will actually help ingrown hairs. As you can tell, I love EWC and trust them with all things waxing. This location has changed ownership but continues to provide incredible service with their amazing waxers. All waxers I've had are great, but as I mentioned previously, Keymara and Shawnie will meet and exceed your expectations! read more

I've also had my brows done by Keymara and Tiana who are both fantastic. The girls here are super attentive and really listen to what you want your brows to look like - something I find a lot of places that do brows are lacking. Natalie and Amanda are my go to girls when I need my Brazilian both are quick and fun to talk to, so it's easy to get distracted. But if you're a sensitive girly like me they also can walk you through breathing techniques that really help. My legs are the most painful to get done though - but Kiera makes it seem like it's done in 5 minutes instead of 15. She's so funny and really knows what she's doing. Everyone I've ever had at the front desk has been awesome, but tonight I had the pleasure of talking to Claire and Libby, who were super sweet and accommodating to me and even offering me water which is always nice Overall, I've had waxing/threading/sugaring done all over Long Beach but this is my spot.
