I always have a wonderful experience here with any cerologist. I prefer to book with Alyssa but you really can't go wrong. The online booking process is ez pz with the app. Modifying or canceling appointments is a little harder (as far as I know you'd have to call) but they are very efficient either way. The facility is immaculate and trendy. The bathroom has the best smelling skin friendly samples. The rooms are cozy and the music is upbeat but relaxing. Everyone I've worked with has been the utmost professional and very easy to talk to. I also love their wax. You will be able to tell immediately that it is a very special product. It's not very painful compared to what the big chains use! I also can't recommend enough their after products. I used to get in growns all the time and now they are a thing of the past. I purposely waited to review because let's face it, the aftermath of a Brazilian is generally a good indicator whether it was done well. It's been four days now. This was my first one here, however, I have had Brazilians performed at several wax shops to include, EWC, Depil, and Relax and Wax... Upon walking in, they have a list of pre and post-wax add-ones that you can try (sorry I forgot to snap a photo). The ingredients in them are listed in mini descriptors next to each item offered. I chose the soothing gel ($5) which had lidocaine in it, as I'd never been to a wax studio that offered it. It takes about 15 min to work, so get there early if you plan to use it. My cerologist I'd booked was Alyssa and I literally did not feel any pain or tenderness. She TOOK HER TIME and did not smear wax on large areas. Instead everything was done in small sections and didn't burn on contact with my skin at all. For me, this along with that heavenly gel greatly reduced my pain and I didn't feel as though I'd even gotten a wax when she was done(I'm usually a little sore). She made me feel comfortable throughout and didn't push products I did not need. Waxing the City is pretty comparable price-wise to EWC, so if you're used to them-make the switch. At least try them and book Alyssa. You won't be disappointed. read more

I made an eyebrow appointment for June 5 at 10AM LAST MONTH on 5/12/20 as I arrived early to the location I find the entire business locked and closed. ReRead the COVID19 response and it was even updated today but nowhere did it say they were not open for business. I also called and got sent straight to voicemail each time. Booked an appointment with the first available cerologist and I got Jennifer. I have NEVER had such an amazing brow wax! She spent SO much time and so much attention on my brows. I became an immediate loyal customer. I have gotten regular brow and brazillians done by her ever since. Bikini waxes are minimal pain and she is efficient and makes it a great experience. My first visit to a WTC (in general) happened to be a fantastic appointment! I live in the residential building that this location is first floor to, and I called for a last minute walk-in appointment after leaving work. The front receptionist, Chelsea, was very friendly, booked me promptly, and also warmly greeted me when I came in. My cerologist today was Alyssa, and I LOVED her personality and ability to make me feel @ ease throughout the whole process. She did not rush me or make me feel unwelcome/awkward in any way. At the end, she also recommended a product for me to use based off of my skin needs post-waxing and gave me several tips on a cute little notecard regarding my skin care and post-appointment reminders. This company's services are priced a little more than competitor European Wax Center (EWC), but I do find that the cerologist and staff at this location provided far superior service and quality of care. The only feedback I would give is to perhaps have built this location a little bigger or allowed for a bigger waiting room; the front welcome area feels small/tight. HORRIBLE!! Stay AWAY!!! I came in with a full set of brows and left with scraps. I'm astonished at the atrocity that was done during my session. I came in for a clean up and left with half of my brows. My bikini wax was completely BOTCHED!!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have used Waxing in the City on Luther and have always been pleased. This place just opened and it's closer to my house so I made an appointment. MISTAKE. I'm also not a crazy person that writes yelp reviews as a hobby-this was just such a traumatizing experience that I feel obligated to warn others. My cerologist was Alyssa Branson. She left me with a lopsided bikini wax. I should've known something was off when I was covered in baby powder after the session, she didn't even bother to clean it off. It was all over my legs. I have been going to the waxing the city on Luther to see Allison for awhile. I was excited to hear about the opening of this NEW location, as it's a little easier to get to and park! Thrilled allison is there too, I went to get my lip waxed, brows waxed and tinted. She was training. The one trainee was super nice but a little timid at first. But after some talking about my expectations for my brows she warmed right up! Allison was professional and assisting when needed.
