How fun it is to find a new suite with an artistic twist and kind specialist. Walking through the suites each station of course customizes their space, but at first glance I was shocked! I have never walked into a waxing salon and found darker tones and posters themed for mischievous fun. I LOVED IT! DO NOT COME HERE FOR A BROW WAX. This is primarily a place for people looking for a Brazilian wax. This wasn't clear to me and I was surprised to show up hoping to get my eyebrows shaped by someone with expertise. She didn't do a bad job, but my eyebrows are uneven and not as arched as I had asked for. Even when I pointed out exactly what I wanted changed in the mirror, I got an eye roll and then two wax strips later, sent on my way. This was not cheap--I paid full price, despite the fact I noticed a coupon code in the treatment room that the owner didn't offer to me. As a first time client, I expected a small business to offer me something to encourage my repeat business, but the attitude, price, and quality of service mean I won't be back. read more

Beware of this scam artist. I was visiting Palm Beach on vacation and had a trip to the beach planned with my friends. One of those friends, a local of the Palm Beach area, had suggested I go to Waxwitch for my bikini wax. I had scheduled my initial appointment for a few days before our beach day because I have very sensitive skin and figured I should give myself a couple days to recover. I couldn't just shave myself because that always winds up in a mess of ingrown hairs. She cancelled my appointment not once but TWICE so I had to go see her the morning of my fun day at the beach. When I tell you this was the most unprofessional and unpleasant wax experience of my life, it would be an understatement. I was treated like an annoyance and not only was the experience completely unenjoyable, but whatever products they use left me with the most unspeakably nasty crotch rash I have ever had in my life. It felt like I sat on a thorn bush that was engulfed in flames. When I called back to ask if this was common or if there was anything I could do to alleviate my rash, they told me that this was MY fault and that I shouldn't get waxed if I have sensitive skin. What's worse yet is that they told me my sensitive skin might be the result of my race as a black woman. I felt disrespected and dejected by this highly insensitive comment. Somehow, this wasn't the worst of it. Later on, when I saw the charge to my bank account, I noticed they had charged me a cancellation fee for the first two cancellations THAT THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR. Instead of fighting this, I just figured I would leave it be as I am not a resident of the area and would never have to deal with this absurdly disrespectful service agin. I told my friend about the experience and she was mortified being that she was the one who suggested them. She assured me that she would no longer be a patron of Waxwitch and would also do her best to spread the word of their impossibly terrible customer service.
