Not impressed with this salon. Took my 14 year old daughter there for hair color and it was an unpleasant experience. She wanted just the ends of her hair lightened and we explained this. The stylist (who I think was the owner) did not listen and instead lightened her hair up to her ears. I asked early on why she was painting the solution so high she got quite defensive, insisting this was what we asked for and that she has been doing color for 45 years and knew what she was doing. Even had we erroneously asked for full balayage color this would not have been an appropriate professional response. She made a point to comment how great it looked and how happy she was with the color several times during the process, which just misses the point that it is the client who needs to be happy with the style. I can't imagine my stylist at home acting like this, she always double checks as she goes along that things are how I want them since it's my hair. In the end the shade of blonde was nice but not only did the color go up too high, it was also uneven and not blended as balayage should be. My daughter was really disappointed and a bit upset by the whole experience. The salon was clean and nicely decorated and they were mindful of COVID protocols which we appreciated but we would not go back. read more

I went to see Nancy while staying in Jupiter for winter. Had some issues with breaking, dry hair from over processing. I got the salon information from YELP and can truly say I wish I could bring Nancy North with me! She did a wonderful 'fix' on my dry breaking hair. She also colored and cut my hair. Nancy's assistant is very easy to communicate with and I schedule my appointments through text messaging, which is convenient for me. I can usually get an appointment the week I ask for one. Nancy has been coloring my naturally blonde hair for almost two years now. She is the best I've ever found. Since my hair is light, most stylists use bleach to add highlights, which ends up turning my hair an awkward color. Nancy uses multiple colors, a light and a dark that mimics the coloration of my natural color, and she does it in a way that it gets super conditioned as well. It's shiny, healthy, and no one knows its colored. She is a master! And, I love the hair cuts she gives. I always walk out feeling great. This is to rave about Nancy at Glaze Hair Studio. I live outside San Francisco, and last month I was in Juno Beach with tragic hair. A stylist in CA had dyed my hair a horrible brassy gold and it was growing out. I was lucky to pick Nancy at random out of the phone book. She has amazing experience teaching stylists worldwide how to color hair, and knew just how to rescue my mess. It took her 4 processes plus highlights, but my hair came out looking better than it's ever been. The cut was perfect too. I showed my hair to a color specialist in a very expensive salon back in CA, and she was extremely impressed with Nancy's work (and charges 4 x what Nancy does). I'm returning to Juno Beach next week and have set up another appointment with Nancy. She's the best! read more

If you don't have the time to answer one simple question over the phone, I know you aren't going to pay attention to my hair and its needs when I get there in person. read more

In January I had my hair done by Nancy and was very pleased with the results. I was looking forward to having my hair redone a few months later (in June), and due to my 2 jobs, finally found the time to schedule an appointment. Imagine my surprise when I showed up to my appointment only to find Nancy's arm in a sling. When she saw my reaction she quickly started telling me how her assistant was trained by her, and that her assistant does hair exactly like she does, and that I should not worry. I said that I would have appreciated her informing me that she was incapacitated when I was scheduling the appointment so that I could make an informed decision, but she said nothing to this and assured me how great her assistant was. Well due to my schedule I took the chance-my gut was telling me no and I should have listened. My hair is nothing like it was back in January. I am so blonde now, that the upkeep is going to be incredibly expensive with the need for frequent retouches. My hair is over bleached and dried out. The haircut is horrendous. When I contacted Nancy about this all she had to say was that she usually charges $110 for a haircut and that she only charged me $65. She refused to issue me a refund. Her business practice is horrendous-I would have gladly waited until her arm was rehabilitated had I been informed of her injury-instead, she has lost a good customer. Very disappointed. read more
