Stopped here because of the PA ice cream trail and glad we did. Got a coffee fudge swirl flavor that was delicious and my boyfriend got teaberry (not a fan lol). Ice cream was very good and they had a variety of flavors, would definitely come back and try more in addition to the baked goods they had. read more

This Farm-to-Table store & creamery out in rural Pennsylvania is a must visit spot for my family whenever visiting Vraj Mandir! The main attraction is the fresh and creamy ice cream. They have over 40 flavors to choose from, with each delivering a rich experience. Since I was visiting with family, I got try bites of a bunch of different flavors (black raspberry, birthday cake, blueberry buckle, butter pecan, cookies n' cream, reese's bliss, salt caramel, tin roof, etc.). Each flavor was unique, combining all types of different flavors. Beyond the large selection of flavors and vibes of the farm store, the ice cream it self was good, but nothing amazing. The ice cream was a little hard and icy. I've definitely had creamier and richer ice creams at other farms on the East Coast. However, the Freedom Milkshake (made with blueberry buckle and strawberry cheesecake) was absolutely phenomenal. The taste of the milk and berry ice creams came together for the perfect summer drink! I would 100% reccomend their milkshakes over their scoops of ice cream. We also bought some fresh jalapeño honey mustard and habanero pepper jelly. Both were wonderful additions to homemade sandwiches, wraps, etc! And finally picked up a bottle of fresh chocolate milk for the road. read more

We love stopping by this cute store on the way to Koziers. Part of our tradition is grabbing some of their delicious ice cream on the way. Plenty of flavors to choose from and a nice little seating area to eat at. Their store has reasonably priced baked goods or knick knacks. Love the decorations they put up outside read more

They were on the South Central PA Ice Cream Trail, so we made the trip to try them out. We tried Lemon Razzy, Peach, and Pineapple, Strawberry, and Butterscotch and Apple Crisp. The ice cream was very good - they had so many flavors to pick from it was hard to decide. They also had a cute store with country decor and baked goods. If we are ever out that way again we would definitely stop in. read more

Another 5 star review for Way-Har! This is what small town america is about! A local family run dairy\farmers market, I try to stop here whenever I am in the area, usally for a trip to the inlaws or Blue Marsh Creek. The ice cream is fantastic and I'm a fan of their milk as well. I recently had a chocolate shake with a scoop of peach in there and still smile when I think of it. Local fruits and veggies, many flavors of their own ice cream, homeade pies, homeade cakes, homeade chocolates, breads, deli section, some hot foods, and all kinds of goodies...to top it off...cows outback! You can even get your Christmas Tree here next winter! The service has always been fantastic and with a smile, even when the ice cream line is 10 deep! You can grab lunch here and sit inside or on the patio to dine. The prices are just what you would expect in small town america...Very affordable and a great bargain for the quality! I just wish it was closer to home! Stop by and grab some sandwiches next time you go boating, you will not regret it! read more

We drive past Way-har every year on our way to Girl Scout camp and we love to stop in for something sweet! Ice cream and baked goods are always on point. We stopped for lunch this year and it was delicious! The staff is always very friendly and attentive. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday, primarily to get ice cream. The ice cream is made on the premises and is quite delicious. I had chocolate rainforest and a special banana strawberry combination. Lots of very good looking baked goods available as well as canned goods and many other yummy things. Feeling bold, I asked our waitress if I could order their regular Pretzel Braid appetizer ($9) but swap the usual cheez-wiz and spicy mustard for that dreamy Oktoberfest beer cheese instead. She paused, smiled, wrote it down, and said, "that sounds really good!" Bless the chef for making my pretzel + beer cheese fantasy come true. The pretzel braid was warm, soft, and perfectly salty, and that beer cheese was the real MVP -- smooth, melty, not too hot, and with a proper beer-cheese finish. When the bratwurst plate arrived, it was a showstopper. Juicy brat, tangy kraut piled high, and tucked inside a pretzel roll that was soft but sturdy enough to hold it all together. No mustard needed! The German potato salad surprised me, though -- I'm used to the warm version, so finding it chilled caught me off guard. But honestly? It worked. Perfectly seasoned, just wet enough to be salad without drifting into soupy territory. I demolished both. Dessert was impossible to skip after hearing our waitress describe it to another table. We shared both the Apple Caramel Crumb Cake and the Lemon Blueberry Mascarpone Cake. The crumb cake was served warm with ice cream, loaded with thick, crunchy topping that didn't rely on chopped nuts (bonus points!). The mascarpone cake was light and buttery with the perfect balance of lemon and blueberry -- like saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall all in one dessert sitting. Southside Deli's Oktoberfest menu blew me away, and if their everyday offerings are anywhere close, I've been seriously missing out. Add in free parking, a convenient location, and plenty of seating, and it's an easy go-to spot for lunch or dinner. Southside is officially on my food rotation radar now!
