Made to order. Came out piping hot . Fresh Sooooo good!!! I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner. The Sweet & Spicy burger is a must try!!!! Not too spicy and the right amount of sweetness to balance it all out. The pineapple jam needs to bottled! My first time ever having an upside down bun. And I liked it! So much that that's going to be my go to from here on out. I ate my seasoned fries first, per usual. Then devoured the burger. Each bite was packed with all the flavors. Did I mention how the pineapple jam needs to be in a bottle? It does! It needs to be a staple on the menu. I tried the Birthday cake shake and although it was good, it had way too many sprinkles for my liking. So much that I didn't finish it all. Other than the sprinkle overload, the shake was good! I'll definitely make my way back.
I just experienced a first for any restaurant I have ever eaten at. Unfortunately Wayback Burgers doesn't have gluten free buns so we brought in a pack to eat with my burger. Without hesitation I was asked if I had celiac or an intolerance and if I wanted them to toast my bread bun for me. I came with my family and everyone else was served their meals in a timely manner and mine turned out perfectly. I am very thankful that Emily made such a kind gesture to make sure I also enjoyed my meal :)
Best burger in Fishers! Argue with your mama! Decided to check this place out on a whim for date night and boy am I glad we did! The burgers were absolutely delicious! Full of flavor, super juicy, and the toasted bun held all the goodness together! I had the tots and they were seasoned to perfection...I didn't even want ketchup! We both just ordered fountain drinks, but next time I'm splurging for one of their tempting shakes!
On Wednesdays in August 2025, they offered BOGO classic burgers. I customized mine with mushrooms, probably Swiss cheese, etc. Burger tasted fine, but I think it needed more flavor. Maybe one day I will try a more expensive burger from them. Better yet, I hope they will participate in a Yelp event.
Friendly staff and tasty burgers. I got the Cajun with a subbed in Impossible patty and fried pickles on the side. The fried pickles were fantastic. The dinning room was clean and inviting.
Tried Wayback Burgers for the first time today, grabbing it to-go after a long day of running errands--and it totally hit the spot. I went with the Cajun Burger, which had just the right amount of spice, and shared an order of Chili Cheese Fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Yes, it was a bit on the greasy side, but in the best "comfort food" kind of way. Service was quick and friendly, and from what I could see while picking up, the restaurant was clean and had a fun, upbeat vibe for a Saturday afternoon. Definitely looking forward to trying more from their menu next time.
We were greeted when we walked in. The store was clean including the bathroom. I was really excited that they offered a garden burger since I don't eat impossible meat. There was a miscommunication when placing my order, but its my fault for not looking at the screen. My total was $24 before tip. I ordered a garden burger, fried pickles, onion rings, and a drink. When I got my food, I took everything out of the bag. A long dark strand of hair was sitting in the middle of my onion rings. No big deal. I took it to the counter to let them know. I then opened my burger, and it was really meat with bacon on the sandwich. I still didnt get upset, just let them know I had a meat vs garden patty. I believe it was the manager on duty that ended up helping me. She became very agitated with me and said, you ordered a cajun burger. I in fact did not because I dont eat meat. I looked at my receipt, and it did say cajun burger. I did ask for the cajun sauce on the side but I never ordered a cajun burger. They corrected my order. I asked if there was a price adjustment. She said yes but never gave me a receipt. I was excited to try out a new place but, I'll never go back.
I was craving a good burger, fries, and shake. Wayback Burgers hit the spot! I ordered the Cajun burger. It was hot, juicy, and delicious. Not as spicy as I expected. The fries were crispy & fresh, and the shake was nice and thick like I like it. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and felt very welcome. My sister and I arrived around 4:40pm, we decided to eat inside. No one else was dining in but it was a very nice atmosphere.
So I'm just going to tell you this place has gone down hill when it comes to the night and weekend shifts. Really young staff likely teenagers. We came in around 810 this evening and placed our order at the counter. There were two staff members one who was consumed with cleaning while the other took care of the counter and the kitchen. We ordered the value baskets they have on special right now, one single and one double basket. I got the double with tater tots and they gave me 9 tots. Everything was hot and fresh, my burger was cooked maybe to medium well so I endured through it but my preference is no pink. My other family member got the single and it was cooked barely to medium. So he took it back to the counter and the girl and the counter took it from him said nothing and walked away rolling her eyes. When our food was finally ready the kitchen the guy put it on the counter and told the girl cleaning the order was ready and she just kept cleaning for a few minutes before finally bringing our food. We confronted her about the attitude and eye roll and she denied it, she was also making so much noise with the chairs it made the experience unenjoyable. Food is alway good here it's the service and portions (this time) that's the problem. I am pretty sure the manager that's here during the day is also the owner, things go a lot better when she's around. You won't get a better burger around here but service must improve for us to continue to dine here.
Had been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally went tonight... Greeted by the friendly and helpful staff, as we entered and ordered. The restaurant was pretty clean and we ordered our food for dining in. Unfortunately, it took 24 minutes from the time we place our order until the time it arrived. This was a lot longer than we expected. (We ordered around 7:50pm, so definitely not during the dinner time rush.) Burger was delivered as ordered. Hot fresh and accurate. Burger looked and smelled great, and if we had to compare it to another fast food chain burger the consensus at our table was Wendy's-ish in flavor. (Just not Wendy's pricing) We had bacon cheese fries... (consensus we were not a fan of the fries). Mid at best...
This spot is very clean. The service is 5 stars!!! While the staff is young, they are very attentive and polite. I appreciate that and good job!! The food is where I lost a star. The fries are meh. The tater tots are crispy and fine. The burgers are a good size but they lack flavor. A little bit of seasoning would make these 5 stars for me. The buns are nice and soft. The best thing I had was the cookie butter milk shake !! 10/10! Cookie butter is one of my favorite flavors and this was delicious. I could taste the cookie butter and it didn't taste artificial. It was very rich and buttery but not overly sweet. Sadly it's only here for a limited time!
Nice, family friendly, clean. I had a tasty Cajun burger; sauce was good. They have real Cheddar . The quality of the meat is just ok. That's what keeping these from being a 4.5-5 star burger. Fries were decent as well. overall a good experience.
The build your own burger option was great to see. The Impossible burger was generously portioned and cooked well. Other meat burgers included two patties. We also tried the fries, cheese curds, and fried pickles. They were good, nothing special. Employees were friendly. Parking is ample as well.
Our whole family loves wayback burgers! My kids who are usually picky eaters always finish their meal here. Personally I like how they always have a new featured sandwich or flavor. Everything is made fresh to order, the shakes are also great. The prices aren't quite fastfood prices, but there are plenty of similar types of burger spots that are much higher cost for much lower quality. Definitely recommend! read more

Was in the mood for a burger so stopped in here to see what this place is all about. With Burger in your name, you would assume there would be some good eating in this spot! Walking in there was nobody else in there, so we were able to order right away. You order at the counter and you can pick from burgers already created, or create your own which is nice. I decided to try one that was already created. I do like that they are on the thinner side. Most of them are doubles I think because they are thin but I requested just one patty vs two. I had the cajun style burger which was really good. Loved the what seems like fresh cut fries as well. My only complaint is that there were several tables that weren't clean, so we had to walk around to find a clean table. Since it wasn't busy one would assume that there was time to clean the tables. It was also really really cold, so be sure to bring a jacket! Pricing is okay. For two burger meals which included fries and a drink it was a little over $40 a little high but not overly for this area of Fishers. read more
4 stars. Popped in today to observe National Burger Day and take advantage of the $5 Classic deal. No line, no wait. The cashier told me everything that came on the burger and asked if I'd like to make any changes. I appreciate her sharing the setup with me because I'm not a fan of raw onion on my burger, so I 86'd it. My burger was freshly prepared and it was hot and juicy. The only gripe I have is that it wasn't seasoned. If I'd had a lil salt n pepper, we'd be cookin' with gas. Lost a star for lack of seasoning. Otherwise, it was fantastic. The toppings were fresh and crispy and bright in color. I would not pay $10 for it, but it was certainly a great lunch at $5! read more

Wayback was an exceptional burger joint and the restraunt itself is very modern and has a open floor plan. The people working here have a very positive attitude which helps to improve the experience. I ordered a double with cheese ans nothing else on it and it came out hot and correct. I also ordered the side of fries with the chilli and cheese and they were amazing and crispy. This will be one of my quick go to burger joints in this area. read more

It's burgers and a great chicken sandwich, elevated by unique flavor options and Amazing shakes!!! This is a female-owned business that is people-focused and inclusive. The food is delicious and an elevated version of a great burger spot. The fries, the tots (cajun-spiced tots), and the onion rings hit the spot. Throw in the cinnamon toast shake, and there's a little bit of magic here! The team is friendly and available when needed but never intrusive. If catering is what you need, they are also working with EZ catering to make that an option. The owner came out to check on us and shared a little of her passion for great food and the great team at Wayback, which she uses to provide a memorable and delicious dining experience for her guests. read more

A newer place in Fishers, we popped by to check it out. The space is clean and bright due to the windows. The staff working were very friendly. I had the double cheeseburger with tater tots. It was ok. I would venture back and try it again. read more

My Grandson and I have been on a journey to find the best cheeseburger. He loves cheeseburgers so much his grandmother told him he was going to turn into a cheeseburger! So after visiting Wendy's, Steak n Shake, Burger King, DQ, and McDonald's I suggested Wayback burgers. After he ate a few bites he looked up and said Papa, Steak and Shake is no longer number one! I looked at him and smiled and said so this is the best cheeseburger? He said yes! We both laughed! The food was excellent and although it takes a minute I told him it's because they make it fresh! The fries were delicious and I like that they brought the food to me. Facility was clean and people were friendly! read more
This is comparable to Shake Shack in flavor and cost. Flavor is okay but costs too much for just being okay. It is slightly better than Shake Shack because of the menu options. The service when I picked up my order was very friendly and considerate. My order filled 2 bags and I had 2 milkshakes. She brought my food to where I was sitting and waiting, and she made sure to bring a drink carrier. read more

Great Grand Opening with an acoustic singer! Ordered the chili dog with toppings on side for my daughter she loved it with the fresh cut fries! Made to order juicy burgers were devoured along with the Cajun Burger and Cheese Curds! Excellent chocolate shake as no milk is on menu for kiddos but totally worth her smiles! The service is counter service and open air kitchen watching them make everything to order! Fun environment and staff were so friendly! They have a drive thru can't wait to see this location to grow and great location! read more

I order from Wayback quite often because it's close to where I live. This isn't the first time I've had issues with missing items. But I did think their response was odd when I informed them of missing items. To preface: the bag was sealed and I met the delivery driver outside. I sent an email to Wayback letting them know I had missing fries and the ranch that went with my chicken tenders "boxed" meal. The reply from Wayback: "Sorry that happened. I reviewed the cameras and everything went into the bag. I'll reach out to the delivery partner and let them know your concerns." I emailed back asking what was seen on the cameras? Because my bag was sealed upon arrival. No more communication from Wayback. I wanted to see the camera footage. 1. That's disturbing if someone is removing items out of the bag and able to not disturb the seal. 2. That's wrong if WayBack is trying to push an issue off on someone that's not responsible. read more

The service is top notch, the food is amazing! The one and only criticism is the app. You can't make the items a meal like in the store. Ordering everything separately is really expensive compared to ordering as a meal in the store. That definitely needs to be fixed. If it's on the menu, it should be in the app. Still it's amazing and the kids love it. Best fries ever!!! read more

Wayback burgers is Indy's newest place to enjoy a fresh burger in a fun, upbeat atmosphere. We were greeted with a warm hello from the helpful staff, who also checked in on us throughout our dining experience. The food is delicious. Our family tried the double bacon cheeseburger, double burger (+wayback gold), chili hotdog, Cajun tots and fries. The Cajun tots and classic burger were my favorite. The smash style patty is delightful along with all the fresh topping and condiment options. My son and I have a dairy and egg allergy and their online menu helped us select items that were allergen friendly ahead of our visit. We were excited the buns, tots and hotdog didn't contain milk or eggs! Others in my family said the cinnamon toast milkshake was amazing. The restaurant style is modern, fast-casual. read more

The burgers are juicy, fresh and delicious with nice fresh toppings. Their chicken sandwich is perfectly breaded white breast meat. The onion rings they serve are some of the best we've ever eaten and if you're in the mood for something else, they have wonderful tater tots. The staff there is always friendly and welcoming. This is our favorite place for burgers. read more
