I really used to LOVE Five Guys, but I've had it twice recently and it was just okay both times. The first time was less than okay due to them not putting the cheese on my lil cheeseburger and barely putting any A1 sauce on my burger. On my second visit, they got the order right. On both visits, they gave us a boatload of fries, which we love! The milkshakes are thick and delicious, and you can tell that the team members are working hard back there to get everything out hot and fresh, within a timely manner. This location is always busy and clean. I suggest placing your order ahead of your arrival. They will still drop the fries fresh for you, as well as whipping up your milkshake when you arrive. read more

Visited Five Guys for a burger and fries. Until March 12, 2026, they are offering Bogo hamburgers if you order in the app and use the code FGAFTERPARTY. Apparently they had an anniversary in February 2026 with this same offer. However, some locations ran out of food. Therefore, they are offering it again in March 2026. We applaud them for their customer service and satisfaction. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger for $10.99. A bit expensive but when you get two for $6 it's a good price. The burger was good, but not something I would write home about. We would get it again, but it was not memorable. We got an order of fries as well. They served a lot of fries. The fries were a little limp. Not sure exactly how to describe it, but that they were not crispy at all. They were dark and looks like they should be crisp. However, they were very pliable. Not to our liking. It was if the oil was hot so it cooked the outside, but not the inside of the fries. The food was fresh and hot. The service was good. The restaurant was crowded and busy. They offer free peanuts. The atmosphere is fast food casual. You order at a counter (or in the app) and pick it up at the counter. My wife will get the junior burger next time. I have to say. The staff that was working today set the bar. Very hard working and organized and working together as a team!! They were busy but every table was clean, the condiment station was stocked and clean, and so was the beverage area. Evelyn is AWESOME!! I placed an order on the app but did so with my dog in the car forgetting the temp has really changed!! It's 81° now and way too hot to leave my sweet Delilah in the car, but I did really want five guys!! So, after I saw that my order was complete, I called instead and Evelyn answered. She kindly offered to bring my food out to me so that I wouldn't have to leave my dog in the hot car. I do wish they had to drive up! I'll remember next time not to order at a restaurant that doesn't have a drive up when I have my dog in the car and it's hot outside. Each meal at Five Guys is enough food to feed five guys. So I guess the name is apropos. A regular order of fries can feed my family of four easily. We accidentally got two orders, and we were eating fries for the rest of the day. The food is served to you in a sack, regardless of whether you're dining in or carrying out. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing way to serve food, but no one besides me seemed to mind. I guess you just make a DIY surface on which to lay your burger and fries out of your paper sack? Sure, why not. The burgers have a lotta beef in them. My beef is that it's too much beef. Then, if you get a double burger, you're just getting a ridiculous amount of beef. I like to stick to single burgers. You can customize your burgers with any toppings and condiments for no extra charge. I got grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, lettuce and tomato, and all of that stuff made for a huge and sloppy burger. Don't get me wrong; it tasted great. It just required a couple dozen napkins. They offer free peanuts here. They're salted and in the shell, so you get the pleasurable experience of cracking them open and munching while you wait for your food. Five Guys in Carmel is our Family Fave Burger joint! I'm partial to the regular (2 patties) in a bowl. I prefer to save a few calories by not eating the bun and eating some fries. They also will make a burger in a lettuce wrap; I've tried that and found it too messy to enjoy. We generally get a large fry and that is plenty for the four of us. I love their fries, they have a nice seasoning you can ask for on the side as well. Five Guys has a large variety of toppings to choose from - I like the grilled mushrooms and grilled onions with my burger in a bowl. Okay. I'll start with what I like about this place. The staff at this location is always nice and personable. The burgers are DELISH. They offer burger bowls which is great for the tedious Keto diet I'm on. The fries (when I was enjoying life and not depriving myself of potatoes) are yummy and the portion is huge. They make everything fresh to order with an open kitchen so you can watch your meal being made. Now....for the cons. It takes a while. You better expect to wait 10 minutes for your food if they're slow, longer if they're busy. Although the staff is polite, they typically lack urgency. Tonight I ordered a lettuce wrapped burger after the cashier mentioned to me that it was an option. DON'T DO IT!!!!! It's literally a piece of lettuce on top of the patty and one under the patty. Not a "wrap". See the picture. It fell apart immediately and was super messy. Tonight we watched my husbands bun and my piece of lettuce sit without patties or toppings for 16 minutes while they completed 2 orders that came in after us. I don't know why. If you can take an extra couple of minutes to order and wait while they make it fresh for you, this is waaaaay better than what you'll get at those fast food joints. This sounds weird, but one of the best things on their menu are their hot dogs. I'm not normally a hot dog person, but my son ordered one and couldn't eat it all, so I took a bite. Omg!! This is a stellar hot dog! (I know. I sound like a lunatic.) Their BLTs are also delicious, with really crispy bacon and fresh veggies. Speaking of veggies, their veggie burger is also really good. Their fries are perfectly crisp and you can order them with Cajun seasoning if you'd like. And there are always extra fries in the bottom of the bag, so you can order a size smaller than what you'd order at other burger joints. I never know exactly how to categorize Five Guys. They're definitely not what I would call a gourmet burger joint, but at the same time, it seems like it's not really fast food either. Either way, here's what you can expect from Five Guys: 1) A small, limited menu of choices, which is perfectly fine. 2) A very messy, somewhat greasy burger. 3) Loads of flavor. 4) If you order fries, your bag will be "topped off" with an overflow of fries resting on top of the actual French fry container inside the bag. Order the small...just trust me - or you're gong to be carrying out a grocery bag of leftover fried potatoes crisped on the edges like aborted kindling at a bonfire. Two mega Coke mix and match machines adorn the dining room...daring customers to mix grape and vanilla whilst awaiting their masterpiece meals. Peanuts decorate the floors, cracked and enjoyed by would be consumers as they wait impatiently in line to order the meal that will change their lives. Burgers and fries are great... obviously. Love that they have coke freestyle. Love that I can get my burger in a tin without a bun. A lot of bunless burgers leave me still hungry because without the bulkiness and carbs from the bun, burgs don't fill me up super well. But this is the exception! This doesn't feel like a plain burger patty that's gone in five bites with a fork and knife. It's hearty and a total meal even without a bun. Only reason I knocked a star off is because my husband and I often rely on online ordering to get our food quickly while on a lunch break or time crunch. Most places, you place an order online and they start making your food so that by the time you're there, it's ready. 5 Guys doesn't start making your online order until you're in the store and have checked in. It's 2016 and I just visited a Five Guys for the first time. Yes, I'm judging myself. I admit I didn't actually have that high of expectations - I very rarely eat red meat and burgers usually make me sick to my stomach, especially when there is lots of grease involved. I have to disagree with some of the reviews here that state they felt sick/gross after eating at Five Guys. I actually felt great - more so than I have when having burgers at nicer restaurants. I like that Five Guys is a little bit more than fast food, but still a great place to get a quick bite. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheeseburger and cajun fries (just get them cajun!). Even the smallest size of fries was too much for me. One thing to note for next time - I definitely would order the Little Cheeseburger in the future. I had no idea the regular size had 2 patties, and that isn't something I necessarily need. I wish they'd note that on the menu, but I know from now on. Overall, I'd definitely consider coming to Five Guys again. Going into it, I thought this may be the kind of place I try once to say I had and then moved on, but the deliciousness and freshness of the food really appealed to me. read more

I love all the topping choices and that they are free! The small burger is perfect for me and we always get the large bag of fries to share which is really a huge amount. They come in a bag which can be a little greasy, but we usually just eat there. The fries are made there and I like they tell you where the potatoes come from as an interesting trivia tip. The location we ate also had a Coke freestyle machine which my husband always enjoys. We don't eat here too often, but sometimes it's nice to indulge in a guilty treat of hamburger and fries. My number 1 favorite burger. This place is amazing, has awesome burgers and fries. They load their bags full of fries, so normally I just split a small fry with whoever I'm eating with. Their burgers are always so fresh and juicy and delicious. The location of this five guys isn't as convenient since some of the construction work on US 31 - if you are coming north on 31 you actually need to follow the 146th street route, and then keep going straight the off-ramp intersection in order to easily turn right by the Chili's (and then turn right again to get to Five Guys). But it's worth going to because this place is great. read more
