My coworkers and I were in the area for business and had an early dinner at Smash'd Midwest Burgers in Downtown Greenfield. What a wonderful treat! We came here on a Tuesday, where they had a $12.75 "Fill-Up" special for the week. Note: This deal includes one of their signature burgers with a single patty, side, soft drink, and a small Dole Whip. I ordered The Aristocratic signature smash burger, which was made with Swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, on the famous Martin's potato bun! It was amazing from the first bite to the last. I ordered thick cut fries for my side and it was very filling but delicious. Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside and 'mash potatoey' on the inside. I couldn't finish it but it was super tasty. The Dole Whip was the perfect ending. The service here was great. It was easy to find parking in downtown. And the restaurant was filled with happy patrons. Overall, it's a great casual vibe full of friendly workers offering tasty burgers and a delicious sweet treat - all for an affordable price. read more

Good burgers! They are obviously smash burgers so think thin, crispy edge burger patties. The husband got the double and he said it was a lot to eat but he liked it. I got the special, 'Merica, and mine was too much to eat also. We both got regular fries and I tried the French onion aioli but would not order the sauce again as it did not have a punch of flavor like I expected it should. They were quick to wait on us and then we sat down and waited for our food. It did not take too long for the food to get to us. It was clean inside and there were a lot of seating options. I liked my burger as well but next time I think I will order a single. Yes, I did like it enough to go back again. read more

Wife and I enjoyed our first visit. Pretty busy but able to get a seat. Everyone was moving swiftly and served quickly (and friendly)! Neat building and clean. Burger was great with a crisp edges and fresh toppings. Hamburgers are no longer a 'cheap' dinner. read more

New restaurant that took over the former Italian restaurant, we finally were downtown to give it a try. Parking downtown isn't in its favor. Sorry I don't like parallel parking and having to hike through the cold to get to their door. My husband and I decided it was okay. And definitely pricey for a burger place. (Over 30$) And we'll wait for warmer weather if we go back. I enjoyed a Texas toast style BLT with enough mayonnaise to clog the best of arteries. Note: I could have wiped some off but soldiered through and used many napkins... which thankfully are front and center on each table. My husband had one of their double cheeseburgers. Again messy with generous sauce and cheese. And he was happily using those table-side napkins right along with me. They serve Pepsi products. Lol. I must frequent more places with Coke products because I couldn't remember ever having Brisk Tea. That being said, it was good. I will look for it again. The fries had a flour batter like covering and were seasoned well. I told the cashier I couldn't have cheese so I was disappointed my salad had it on top. It looked prepackaged so I just took it home and my husband ate it for our next meal. But it would have been nice if they cared enough to tell me that and then not to sell it to me. Wow this place is fun! The Big Irv burger is spectacular...best burger I've had in many years. The fries are perfectly seasoned and crispy. The salted caramel praline ice cream is a perfect dessert. Service is fast and friendly. Plenty of seating even though it's crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Very comfortable & inviting. This is a real gem for Greenfield! My third time to visit a smashed burger, this time in Greenfield, IN. Busy on a Saturday early evening. I ordered the aristocrat, my partner the make your own burger. Both were good. The French fries hot but a little shy in the serving size. My Aristocrat burger meat was hot off the grill, unfortunately the mushrooms and carmelized onions were not. The shrooms were warm from the burger. Not freshly cooked. The onions were cold to touch. I would have thought that both should have been put on the flattop to bring to serving temp. Disappointed, I stopped a server to share cold condiments with, her response was she would "tell kitchen". Well, I never heard from server or the kitchen. The overall taste was good but the cold onions and mushrooms hurt the bang I expected. My first time to get a lunch was a grilled cheese sandwich to go. A good amount of cheese just that was on Texas Toast flavorful. Just way too much bread. I saw in a Madrid restaurant: famous for grilled mushrooms " if something inside is bad tell us in here, if it is good tell everyone outside." I tried to tell them inside this time. I will go back to Irvington. read more

Amazing burgers, friendly service and plenty of seating. A lot of choices for toppings, I had the headless horseman (lots of horseradish) spectacular and the fries are big and thick. Located in one of Greenfield's historic downtown buildings gives it some unique character. read more

Been here a few times since opening, and we've never been disappointed. So far, the Sleepy Hollow is my fav, with sweet potato fries, but the Aristocrat is a close second. Counter and service are friendly and efficient. And what can I say about Dole whip? Mmm! read more
