So I tried this burger restaurant today. It was really good and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was easy to read and pretty straight forward. I usually can't have cheese but the cheese on the burger didn't bother my stomach at all, all the ingredients blend together really good. Usually you can taste the ingredients separately however with this burger everything blends together. The cheese on the fries was pretty decent however it was more like a cheese wiz. One thing I did like the cheese was gooey instead of solid. That is usually my problem with cheese fries the cheese is solid. So that was a plus. I will definitely be making my "way back" lol. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat one evening while visiting my parents and wow that was a great burger. We ordered online for pick up which was super easy to use and to customize our order. My husband got the impossible melt while I got a double cheeseburger, shared a large fry between us. Honestly could've probably shared a small fry as the portion size was huge! We also got the maple bacon milkshake (which was decent - a bit more liquidy than preferred) and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake (which was tasty!). We didn't eat inside but there were plenty of seating options and it was really well decorated inside. Kind of an updated old school diner vibes. I've been meaning to trying this burger joint for a while, because I've noticed that they had good Google reviews. So we tried them tonight for dinner and we ordered the cheese steak sandwich ($9.50), the create your own burger ($10.25), and a large fry ($3.99). We placed an online order and went inside to pickup our order. Upon entering I was greeted by a very friendly and professional staff member. Our order wasn't ready when I arrived so I had to wait a little while. But our food came out hot and was well seasoned and plentiful. I was really impressed with the freshness of the food, yes indeed I will return! In my opinion the food was reasonable priced. Welcome to Lexington's BEST BURGER! The service was prompt & they've had out to go orders ready right on time. Plus, they keep the shakes in little freezer up front, until you pick up your food, so no issues with melting. My teenager loves their shakes & we all love their burgers! Even though you'll pay a bit more than a fast food place like Cookout & there's no "drive thru", because they cook your food to order, it was worth the price & having to order ahead. The mat by the front register was a little sticky, but overall, it's clean & has an old diner decor. We're made them our semi-regular, when we're in the mood for a truly great burger! read more

Ordered online for pickup at a specific time. Right by my job so an easy dinner for a burger craving. In an upscale plaza you'd figure it would be better than fast food or even Better than McDonald's fries I hoped and finally the fried pickles I've always wanted to try. I ordered from here on Uber eats since it was a buy one get one deal on their Wayback classic burger. It was ok. The buns were soaking wet by the time I got it so you'd think that means the burger was juicy but it wasn't. The mushrooms are canned. The jalapeños are pickled. The cheese was mid (I had ordered pepper jack but fake Swiss cheese showed up). Considering the normal price of one burger is over $10. My wife enjoyed her burger. I got one bite. The beef had some flavor and was not dry or over cooked. My cheese steak was flavorful, not too salty. The bun was okay, soft and a bit chewy. Coming from CA In and Out are the hamburger place to be. We needed a place to grab something like that. They were great with accommodating my food allergies and their oil is soybean so no nuts to be worried about. We were able to sit down and be served our food. The food was realisable price as well as they had great options for all. Their milkshakes were so good, I might just go back to get one again. The diner is comfortable. We had a group of 6 and most of us were from out of town. I really liked the old diner black and white decor with pops of color like the blue sofa our party sat on. The shakes were good and fresh, the burgers too. The canjun tater tots were good, but the fries not so much. They were cold, and not great cold. Everyone enjoyed their burgers except my mom because she asked for no mustard. The cashier had a very hard time hearing us so they should consider turning g the music down a litt. 55 bucks for 3 cheesy burgers 2 hot dogs and 2 drnks..... then I saw the manager hand the 3 guys money across the grill where they were cooking, they took the money put it in their wallet and pockets then proceeded to make our food without gloves. Opened the wrapper of my Classic Burger and it looked like clear grease had been poured inside ... I assume it was grease from a cheap mix of beef? Same with my wife's burger. Be prepared to have a fork handy for the hotdog. When they say all the way or loaded they mean it. Milkshakes are like they are supposed to be. The meat wasn't heavily seasoned which was good because you get to taste the other items on the burger. Thee fries was just ok. Bigger than Smashburgers fries. Think Burger King size fries... Nothing special about them. I wasn't checked on the whole time I sat there. One of the waitress came to straightened up the table items (ketchup, mustard, salt & pepper) and then took my empty tray for me afterwards. I went to the bathroom to check it out and it was very clean (new place so it should be right). On the way out that same waitress thanked me for coming and said come again... To be honest, this place is pretty much just like Smashburgers but cheaper prices. I paid $12.51 for what I ordered. Smashburgers would have been more. Same type of setup with the menu on the wall at the register... I will check it out again. The burger was good and looked like what was advertised. I just wish that SOMEBODY would come up with a bun that would hold all that burger goodness together without coming apart as you eat it. Not my usual hamburger restaurant. I had a chili and cheese hot dog, fries and coffee milk shake. My wife had a standard hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes and pickle. She too had a coffee shake. The shakes lacked flavor although made with real ice cream. Hot dog was split to cook and appeared to be all beef. The layout of the restaurant was different than other similar shops. It looks as though Wayback caters to take-out although there was ample seating. For what we purchased the bill came to $27.86. A bit pricey in my opinion. read more

They do give some different options on what you can put on on your burger but the actual burger was nothing to write home about. The patty itself was rather small on the regular burger and I'm not certain it was even a 1/4 pound. We got a mix of fries and onion rings as a side and received Four onion rings in them. This seems to be a common thing and onions are not that expensive! We waited for a 10 minutes for our food and the restaurant was not busy at all on a Thursday night. Tried wayback after church for lunch. Burger was good, my daughter had the chicken tenders. She ate 2 of 4 tenders, they were very greasy and had a funny aftertaste. My wife got the steak sandwich. It was ok, but sort of bland. Fries were average. I had the fries and onion rings. Got 4 rings (not very big) and they were pretty good. Had a chocolate shake, which was good but $4. Stopped in for a quick bite after driving past Wayback for a few weeks. Both Kelsay and I played it safe and got the classic burger: LTOP and American cheese. The website says these burgers are cooked fresh, and they definitely tasted like it. They came out steaming hot and the beef tasted super fresh (sort of in the same way a shake shack burger tastes). As for sides, Kelsay went for fries but I opted for the o-fries option... which is just a fancy way of saying half rings, half fries. While I love a good onion ring, these were pretty standard, I'd say skip them and go for the fries. Service was fast and friendly, the food was very fresh and tasty but in all honesty... it was pretty average. Might not be anything to rave about, but if you want a good burger it's worth a stop! read more
