This review is because of my interaction with the Manager of the Collision Center: Chuck Coley. I had a 2pm apt. and had called ahead so that my rental car would be ready. He acted like he was going to help me save money with my rental. He did not follow-through with calling Enterprise back after calling another rental car agency. My car wasn't available until almost 4:00 p.m. He dropped me like a hot potato after he figured out I wasn't purchasing a car at his dealership. He had a sales guy come out - and the inventory was not what I was looking for. Bar none one of the worst experiences I've ever had, I feel like I was just accosted by Yvonne. I got a text from Wayne Aker's stating there was a recall on my 2014 Ford F-150 , The transmission would lock up the rear wheels in 2nd gear possibly causing a very dangerous situation. I call up Wayner Akers and scheduled an appointment for this morning at 11am. I was unfortunate enough to work with Yvonne. Who advised under no uncertain terms that if there is an issue with the transmission the upgrade may cause the transmission sieze up. I was perplexed because Ive had an upgrade to the transmission before and I was never advised of that. After going round and a round and getting nowhere, I left. When I got home I called Grieco ford. I told them what Wayne Akers said and they were taken back by that. Greico advised that if anything happened to my vehicle due to them working on it, they would be responsible for it. So I scheduled for Greico come out to do the upgrade. This is just another case of a corporate greed, Yvonne must of figured I would of asked him to run a diagnostic on the tranny only to find something wrong so they could charge me ungodly amounts of money to repair it. I paid $210 to have an estimate done of my suspension, then after I paid and asked where my written estimate was, I was told I could not have a written estimate. They want me to pay $2400 but I have no idea what for. Also, I had to buy all the parts right then and there BEFORE they ordered them and I came back with it for the work. Also my engine light is on, to find out why it's on, that was another $210 if I wanted to know. I called at 12:43 to see if it was done (he had said by 1) he said it hadn't been looked at yet. Actually minus 4 stars would be more appropriate. I took my Ford Escape in for a new turbo part. I have a warranty from Car Shield. Car Shield did pay for most of the work $2350.00. My end was suppose to be $968.00. Which I agreed to. Car was at the dealer for 12 days before Car shield sent someone to look at the car to approve work. This was not Akers Ford fault. However, after the inspector gave go ahead Akers calls me an says I need new motor mounts and spark plugs. In October in NY before I came to Florida I had car tuned up and new motor mounts put in. I asked my Ford advisor to recheck and he came back with oh yes they look new. They tried to rip me off. That wasn't the best. When I went to pick up the car, all of a sudden now the bill is $1200.00. Why? no explanations. They would not even give an invoice listing all the work that was done. After calling Car Shield and standing my ground they charged me the original amount $968.00. And they still refused to give me a bill listing the work that was done. They just say throw a few hundred dollars more and they'll never notice it. So the motto of the story is DO USE WAYNE AKERS FOR YOUR REPAIRS UNLESS YOUR READY TO GET RIPPED OFF. They are the epitome of what they call "car salesmen". Watch out for your wallet. read more

Bought a new F-150 from this dealer in Sept 2019. Brought truck in for a simple recall issue and problems with the motor ensued from there. 6 visits later and they still cannot fix the issue. Left messages for the service Dept manager to voice my concern and still have yet to receive a returned call. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I had an issue with a recall and after great communication between mike and myself we had a successful repair..... after ANOTHER issue with my car I called up Mike and he knew exactly who I was and the issue I needed repaired. Do not bring your vehicle here for service, read the other reviews! They consistently damage and misdiagnose vehicles . If you try to get a hold of the general manager "Al Young" you must get past his secretaries. You have a better chance of getting a hold of the president. Maybe he needs to get off his throne and pay attention on what's going on with his business before there is none. Wayne Ackers should take a moment and read some of these reviews and see that their is a big problem with his staff. read more

BE VERY CAUTIOUS IF YOU ARE TAKING IN A VEHICLE FOR MAINTENANCE. I took my 2008 FORD F-150 in to have the spark plugs changed because of a misfire. After they ran diagnostics and that was the problem and it needed brakes which I also knew. It was $1169 to do everything...not cheap. When I got in my truck and drove away, and it was bogging down like crazy (barely able to climb a hill) and I live in South FL. The truck had never done this and wasn't doing it before with the misfire. I couldn't believe they gave it back to me the way they did, and they had "the best, most experienced tech do the work." So I took it back and after another day of diagnostics they found a knock in the engine...not good. Not super uncommon but how do you miss that? And why wasn't it having the issue before you fixed the spark plugs? There is no way I would have put $1169 into the truck had I known there was a knock. I would have traded it right away as is and got what money I could out of it since I still owed $8200 on the truck. They didn't offer me any money back for a MAJOR problem they missed...and they low balled me on a trade in ($3000 for my truck). Mike's customer service through this was great but I will not take another vehicle there much less buy a vehicle from them. So as the title says, be cautious IF you are gonna go there. read more

This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. I traded in my car and bought a used Hyundai Elantra. I dealt with a salesman Joe Z. and the general manger Rick Kennedy. They put a temporary plate on my car. They were informed that I was leaving on a road trip in less than a week. They were going to detail the car and Fed Ex my plate to NY. The car looked like my 13 year nephew cleaned it, it was not detailed. The salesman was too lazy to do the paperwork to register my car in NY since I just paid for renewal of my Nissan registration in NY. I had to pay to change my license over all of this was over $600 and I am paying $500 more a year in insurance. He never sent my plates to NY and insisted that is was perfectly legal to drive with expired plates. I was pulled over by a Sheriff in St. Augustine because of expired plates and almost arrested. It is illegal to drive with expired plates and you can be arrested depending on who pulls you over, I was lucky enough to get pulled over by a Sheriff that did not arrest me. I had to go to Motor Vehicle the next day and they could not issue new plates because my plate was at the dealership. She called Joe Z. and he said he was on the golf course to call the office. She called the office and they said they could not Fed Ex my plate on a Friday because they did not pay for Saturday delivery service. I had to fight with her and she was supposed to call me back and let me know their decision and she never called. Luckily Saturday afternoon my plate was delivered. I called and e-mailed the owner and he never once responded personally to me. I was asked to send an e-mail with the amount of money that I laid out and they were going to cut a check, well that was on August 21 I still have not received a check or any other response from them. I felt since they made so many crucial errors they should not only refund my money, they should detail my car properly (which Mr. Kennedy said he would do from the very beginning), they could change my oil while my car was there, they were supposed to give me a second key, and I had an expensive remote start in the car I traded in and I wanted a remote start put in this car. They agreed to the second key, the detailing and refunding my money but they have done NOTHING!! read more
