Saw them on Facebook, and quoted a job. They came out lower than other vendors saying the sq ft was lower then previous quotes. I thought other vendor mismeasured. We wrote up estimate, agreed and paid deposit. Father came on second day, and complained son screwed up on quote and was going to do less than agreed. I thought they were honest so worked with them and agreed to a higher price thinking a miscommunication on exact width. The bad part is he was pissed off at everything and tried to take it out on me. Saying they should have quoted much more. I told him to take it out on his son, but it seems like it may be a game they are playing. In three days of trying to work we had tons of issues, and they do not oversee the job. They start late saying arriving at 930 AM, and show up late saying traffic was bad. I ask about getting the hot-mix at 7am when vendor opens and he starts yelling saying how he knows how to run his business. We have a bridge and cannot have a full truck of mix. I relayed to his son prior to quoting as he was here to see it. He said they would use smaller trucks. Sadly his guys worked from 7am - 10pm because they ordered a full truck of hot-mix. The driver came at 230PM and could not cross the bridge. They just dumped it in the driveway on millings and left. They did not even have the anti-stick agent so they had to wait for the owner to go buy some before starting. This leaving his workers to move it over so they worked late. It also started raining on the hot mix and the ground. The owner tried to say the mill did not open till 11. When I said I called a few and all open at 7AM he said they switched from millings to hot mix at 11. I asked his driver and found out where they picked it up from that day and the vendor only sells hot mix so there is not a transition. They started at 7AM. They lie about everything, and are very dishonest. He tried to tell me the workers did not want to work as they are worried about me paying. I gave them drinks throughout the day and they all waived by to me when the owner decided to end the job early. Sadly I should have done more searching on them prior to hiring them, but I will make sure others are aware of the practice.

Suffice to say, he has not honored his warranty in any way, shape or form. He is constantly setting up different shell companies but doing the same sort of con job against consumers. In Massachusetts he has operated as Creative Drives and Patios, Ground Force Masonry, Norton Masonry and Construction, Delaney Paving & Masonry, among others. In September of 2023 he set up Top Class Home Improvement, Inc. Stay away from John Delaney and Top Class Home Improvement Inc - he and his companies are a scam.

Requested driveway seal coating. Coverage was poor and they refused a check; required payment in…read morecash. The spray coating was poor (absorbed coating unevenly) and sprayed up onto the garage doors. Agreed to recoat and clean the doors. Recoat was better but uneven due to persistent nozzle fouling. Accidentally sprayed me ruining T-shirt and jeans. Sent 2 people with the "wrong" solvent to clean the doors, door trim, siding, concrete and decorative wall stone. Rinsed rags in lawn..had to dig out & replant. Most overspray was removed but so was some of the lower garage door paint. Sought Overhead Door qualified painter ($700). DG owner negotiated lower price from someone else ($300)....unknown expertise. Its now 31 days trying to correct the problems they created. I recommend you NOT do business with Driveway Guys.

Affordable Roofing & Masonry was responsive to my request, but their quote of $4395 was extremely…read morehigh. I was initially impressed with Martin's knowledge and demeanor, but disappointed with the final results. The chimney looked worse from the ground. Damaged bricks were noticeable and when I questioned Martin about using the worn out bricks I was told I received what he quoted and the work was guaranteed for 15-years against leaks. Martin pointed out a second chimney had a lose crown that needed to be cemented in place and it could be done for $500. I had subsequently received a quote from another mason for $4200 to repair both chimney's including 24 courses of new brick. I had the second mason work on the second chimney and remove the chimney crown using 2 courses of new brick with a new 4" thick latex modified concrete cap with an 1 1/2" overhang. Damaged flu's that were cracked were replaced and a new rain cap was installed. When I asked about the chimney Affordable Roofing & Masonry had worked on I was told the bricks should be replaced to the roof line or removed and the roof repaired. Affordable Roofing & Masonry did not offer these options. I didn't know anything about chimney repair at the time and had difficulty finding a mason to do the work. I liked the responsiveness of Affordable Roofing & Masonry, but I would never use them again.
