I asked for a vehicle inspection for a specific date and time and advised that I did not want to drop the car off but rather wanted an appointment for 10:00 am and would wait for the inspection to be done. The "scheduler" got my phone number wrong, and scheduled me for a basic oil change. What? So I asked to speak to the people at Tire Choice in Dallas, PA. Of course, when I was transferred to Dallas all went well. They have all my vehicle & personal information at hand and gave me a 10:00 am appointment no problem. The service at TC is excellent and for that reason I am giving them a 5 star rating. I love Tire Choice, but why do they have such an idiotic scheduling system in place? What a turn-off that must be to potential new customers!

I purchased a new Ford F150 in 2012; in 2023 Kost replaced the muffler after 11-years of use. This…read moremuffler installed by Kost in Shavertown lasted only 2 years (13,000 miles). Unbeknownst to me they installed a low-end muffler but charged me for a high-end galvanized muffler. They replaced the resonator, the muffler and exhaust pipe at a cost of $1,300.00. Two weeks ago, I heard noise that sounded like a muffler leak. I went to Kost in Shavertown so they could take a look at it. They said there was a leak in the Y pipe and that the frame was so rusted that it would not pass the next inspection. For convenience I then went to Kost in Wilkes-Barre for a quote for the repairs where I was told the entire muffler system needed to be replaced; Y pipe, resonator, muffler, exhaust pipe and all the sensors at a cost of $3,400.00. I then went to a mechanic other than Kost for a second opinion. They put the truck on the lift to inspect it and to show me what needed to be done. First, the frame didn't need to be repaired. Next, no need to replace the Y pipe, it could be repaired. They showed and explained the 2023 (Kost) installation was the wrong resonator and need to be replaced. They needed to replace the muffler which was in worse shape than the 11-year-old muffler Kost had replaced 2 years ago, and also the exhaust pipe. The entire new job by this mechanic cost $1,200.00, including a high-end muffler (galvanized). They done the repaired and the job was done professionally. I will never do business with Kost at any of their locations again. If you have money to throw away, go to Kost. Richard M.
