Emily Miller the office manager at Wayne Gunn is awesome. She helped me to make the switch from Geico after 20 years of being their customer with no incidents or claims, when I added my teenage son my rates more than doubled. I had expected them to go up but not double. I had been in contact with Emily for the last couple of years but State farm was never able to beat Geico's rates until now. I have been with State Farm and Wayne for 3 years now. Wayne and his agency are always available whenever I have any questions or need to make an update to coverage. I would think I am a bit of a high maintenance, pain in the butt because I am often calling them after a document or update is due, but they are always very friendly. They are great about pro-active communication. I think they know when they see a busy professional, so they go the extra mile by giving you reminders ahead of time. Folks, I wanted to give a little feedback about my recent experience with Wayne Gunn and State Farm. He really impressed me. I had been a USAA member for 24 years and have had every kind of insurance with them from auto to renters to homeowners. After my daughter got her driver's license a few months ago I thought USAA's premium increased more than I was comfortable with. So, I sat down with Wayne to get a comparative quote on auto insurance. Wayne is someone I've known for years. He's down to earth and speaks on my level, which I appreciate. He is also local to Bonney Lake where I live and I often see him running around town in his big yellow truck (You can't miss it. In fact, you can often see him filling up on diesel at the Safeway on 214th and Hwy 14 - I even saw him there today). However, until my issue with USAA I had never taken the time to compare insurance rates with him. I was impressed with the friendly and welcoming demeanor of Wayne's office staff, and at how easy it was to work with Wayne. He takes a personal approach to ensuring that you have the right coverage and that you are educated about what you are getting. After a few clicks of the mouse and several questions from me Wayne was able to beat the rate I had with USAA before they added my daughter, but with her included in the policy. That surprised me because I had always thought that USAA smoked their competitors on price and coverage. My wife encouraged me to also get some life insurance coverage while I was there and I ended up getting life insurance plus auto coverage for less than what I was previously paying USAA before my daughter got her driver's license. I thought that was a pretty good win. I figured if Wayne could save us money on auto and life perhaps he could save us a little on Homeowner's insurance as well. As it turned out Wayne was able to get us better homeowner's insurance coverage for less than what we were previously paying. Why was it better coverage? Well, several years ago we had a house flood and we lost many of our belongings. Unfortunately, our previous insurer only covered the depreciated value of our belongings, which meant that our replacement benefit averaged about 20% of what it had initially cost to buy everything (furniture, computers, etc.). Wayne informed us that State Farm covers the actual cash value (replacement cost) for our belongings in the event that we have a problem. That's a big deal for us considering what we've been through before. Between our homeowners, auto and life insurance Wayne was able to get us better coverage and more insurance and in the end we're saving almost $75 per month in actual out of pocket expenses. Great job Wayne Gunn and team! Keep up the good work. Update... It's now been about 2 months since Wayne Gunn saved us money on our insurance. I found myself in need of a car loan and happened to be speaking with Wayne. As it turns out he informed me that State Farm also does auto loans. In about an hour he got me approved for a car loan with a great rate. Now all I need to do is find a car. Thanks Wayne. read more
