I've been going to Dr. Yee for years. The service has always been superb from all aspects of the office. Yesterday, I had a crown fall off, and then later the tooth cracked prior to my visit. I was hoping to only need a temporary, but it was decided I would need a new crown. I needed the new crown in 10 days due to a trip I was taking. The office stepped up and worked with the lab in order to get the crown back on placed before my trip next week. Real team effort. read more

Dr yee is a good doctor but horrible staff it's impossible to get in to see him I recently changed doctor. They' constantly push you to buy this insurance careington that is essentially useless it's a discount from specific doctors they asked me a million times it's essentially a scam read the reviews. The hygienist is rarely there they cleaned half my mouth scheduled for 3 months later the hygienist canceled then they scheduled me for another 3 months out I was ill on the day of that appointment so the scheduled me for another 3 months out when I showed up they had canceled it because I did not confirm my appointment the day prior don't waist your money or time . I see dr. Chen now when a crown popped out the saw me the same day dr yees office wanted me to wait 2 weeks and I was a patient for over 6 years .. not anymore.. read more

I took a friend in who had no dentist and no insurance. She had been suffering from a toothache for a long time. Dr. Wayne Yee's office squeezed her in and took his time explaining that she needed a root canal. He sent her home on antibiotics and made the appointment for the root canal the following week, when he expected the infection to be cleared up. I sat with her while he performed the root canal. He was so gentle and he took his time. Every person on his staff were so kind and efficient. It was a great experience. Came in on a groupon as an inexpensive way to interview for a new local dentist and stayed for how I was treated--from welcoming of front desk staff to Wendy and Sherry, hygenists--to Dr. Yee, who has a great "chairside manner" in making you feel comfortable in massage chairs, no less! I have been to many dentist in my years... which has only caused me to freak out at the thought of having to go to see one! I would much rather have my teeth fall out of my mouth! I vividly remember my dentist visits as terrorist attacks on my mouth! My butt gripping the dentist chair as I sank so deep into the chair, I thought I would bore a hole through it! All the while my hands would grip the arm rest with all my might and I would wince and make noises in desperation and in high hopes the doc would think..."oh I must be hurting her, maybe I should let up and see whats wrong"... NOPE... he would just keep drilling and cause more excruciating pain!! Oh, and the bills for this assault were just another way to inflict pain. Over time I developed a phobia of dentist, that would not leave me until my adult years when my teeth would start causing me pain and leaving me no choice but to seek out a dentist again. My plan was to go in get the work NECESSARY and leave to never look back. Well, I met Doctor Yee and I have been cured of my phobia!! I no longer have a fear to go to the dentist. I do not tense up and grip the chair... I am relaxed!! It is a miracle! I have been set free =) Dr. Yee is so gentle and does whatever it takes to make sure I am comfortable and pain free! His staff is no less than the best. The atmosphere is peaceful and friendly... like extended family. And he has payment plans... the icing on the cake!! I had been with the same dentist for about 17 years in Modesto and when he retired I decided to start going to Dr. Yee. I had gone to Dr. Yee for two years and his office was cozy and the ladies that worked there were very nice. (This was before he recently moved into his new office) Then I cracked my front tooth in half. It did not go to the root so Dr. Yee told me all I needed was to have the the piece that was missing fabricated and glued on. So I went in and had a temporary made that was very yellow compared to the other teeth, but whatever I only had to have it on for a week. A week later I went in to have the permanent piece glued on. It looked alright, but about 10 hours later when I got back home to Santa Cruz it fell off! So I had to drive back to Modesto 2 days later from Santa Cruz to have them grind down my tooth and make a temp veneer tooth. And all of his temps looked like hell but I wasnt worried about them because I just had them on for a week at a time. Then I got my permanent veneer tooth put on the next weekend. And it looked terrible! It was yellow and it was way smaller than the original tooth leaving a large gap in the front of my mouth. After spending thousands of dollars on this tooth and braces years before this really bothered me and even the ladies working for me told me that it did not look right. So a week later he took it off again and put another ugly temp tooth on me. A week after that I went in to get my permanent tooth put on for the third time and he had finally got the color on it correct but the size of the tooth was too small again. At that point I told him I could not miss more school and work and I would try to figure it out. I had to go to my orthodontist to move my teeth again because of Dr. Yee's mistake of making the tooth too small, costing me even more money. Now a year and a half later there is a huge crack down the veneer that Dr. Yee put in for me and I am going to have to get it replaced next month all over again. This time because of the cheapness of the veneer tooth he installed. And after all this all Dr. Yee did was give me a $100 gift card for Starbucks for messing up! I strongly recommend not going to Dr. Yee for anything but cleanings. read more

I went here today for the first time for a cleaning, exam, and x-rays. The office is very neat and clean, and wait time was only 5-10 minutes. I had the very BEST hygienist, Sherry, who went above, and beyond, for me with my cleaning! She did such a thorough job, and explained everything as she worked on me. I am so impressed with this place! The office staff was so friendly, and Dr. Yee, was so nice, and I felt very comfortable. I definitely felt welcome here. As soon as I got home I made phone calls to my insurance, hopefully I can switch plans, so I can come here regularly. I will be recommending this office to everyone! Saw a groupon and decided to go in for a cleaning here. My visit went very well. The wait time was longer than I expected but I believe they were a bit backed up on that day. This review is in regards to a cleaning: My hygienist was Margaret I believe and she did an excellent job. She took the time to do a thorough cleaning and I was very impressed with her attention to detail. Helped me with any sensitive spots and adjusted the cleaning to my needs. Caveat: It is my direct experience that Dr. Yee and his office will try to charge unsuspecting patients for care beyond which is reasonable or authorized by some dental insurance agencies. On three occasions, my husband and I were told that we would be charged out of pocket expenses after we appeared for an appointment. In one incident, the fee had to be paid before services rendered. It was later determined by our insurance that we had been overcharged over $600. When confronted with the error, Dr. Yee would not refund the overcharge immediately but made us wait until a check could be put in the mail. In another incident, I was told that I could not get a filling until my wisdom teeth were pulled. My wisdom teeth have never been a problem until he made them one. Lastly, my husband took time off to go to a prescheduled cleaning today. When he arrived, he was informed in front of an entire waiting room that he would be charged out of pocket because he had exhausted his insurance benefit. In our eyes, he should have been forewarned before arrival so that payment could have been arranged and embarrassment avoided. We strongly advise against employing Dr. Yee due to these and other outstanding issues. read more

Dr Boyer has been my dentist for a few years now and is a very good doctor. He recently merged with this practice that seems to be a upscale location however, the staff that runs the office is very unprofessional. Since the merger the new office does not take my insurance and they scheduled me a appointment cleaned my teeth and tried to tell me as a courtesy they will eat the portion my insurance does not cover for this visit but I needed to change my insurance to something they accept. I am pleased with my current plan and have no issue with staying in that network they should have advised me of the change before letting me come in and tell me if I want to continue as a patient I needed to find another insurance plan that has them in my network. read more
