My inspector failed to tell me that the hot water heater's top vent had been covered in a way that…read moreviolated code and was leaking carbon monoxide and they the room was not properly vented. This was immediately visible to everyone else who looked in the boiler room after I smelled gas and called for help. I was without hot water for two weeks while the hot water heater was reinstalled correctly and a vent added from outside (which is why someone had rigged it not to code in the first place). They missed several other things as well, but this one was not only an obvious issue but a life threatening mistake. They took no responsibility and didn't even apologize when I told them about it. Instead I got an email full of fine print about how they are not liable if I didn't call them back to look again before taking any actions to address the problem. Given it was an emergency that was unrealistic of course but shows their "guarantee" is more of a marketing pitch than anything they actually stand by. They charged me almost a thousand dollars and insisted on being paid in full before even stepping foot on the property. Notice the other low reviews and avoid this place!!
