Even after I graduated I still only use checker whenever I'm back. I even refers every friend that I have to use the company. However, the incident set of last Sunday (1/13) has totally changed my thoughts about the company. First, I got complaints from my friends who had to wait hours to get the cab, and also sometime without knowing that it would take that long. I had to leave town on Sunday and was warned when trying to schedule a trip to Amtrak Station on that day. However, because of my past experience with Checker, I still gave the company benefit of the doubt. My train was scheduled to leave at 5:56pm and I called to schedule a cab at around 3:00pm to pick me up at 5:20pm. But even until 5:30pm, I still did not receive any call nor see any cab waiting outside for me. So I decided to give them a call to check up. The female operator told me that my cab did not come because I cancelled the service myself (?!?) She then told me that the cab will turn around and pick me up shortly. Well, it was 5:55pm that the cab finally came and it was already too late for me. I missed my train and had to pay lots of money to reschedule another one, not to say that I have to wait for another 3 hours in town for that. I called back to complain and before I could say anything, the female operator just give me a sentence: "Oh so you're cancelling?", then she dropped the call. Not even a single "Sorry". I rode with the company owner's once and I like her and the company so much that I stayed loyal until now. However, this incident has just set everything off. Tried to find an email address so I don't have to write this public review, but all they have is just the phone number and I don't want to talk to that female operator again. So here you go Checker. I'm gonna stick with Red Top next time I'm in town.

I said this is a large move they were going to send two trucks and four guys and I wanted to get going early, so 7 am was the time. They call the night before (Monday), they wanted to start at 8am instead "because we have a large move and the guys are tired", sure come at 8 but be ready. So moving day comes and we have our beds taken apart, a ton of boxes and we are waiting... now they are like 13 minutes away on google maps, but it took them about 30 just to show up, and with only one truck? So the head guy ( I guess since he had a clipboard) comes in and looks around and immediately goes outside to get on the phone. No second crew shows up either, what is going on? So this guy finally comes back and just says 'we refuse to move you' like that's a thing? Said we have too much stuff, that's the job! Just refused...and left. That's it. No call from Kenney's, nothing. Worst ever. They should be out of business to do this to people. Website says they take the stress out of moving, total crap, I have hardly ever had more stress. And then having to arrange another mover (see my other review, was actually a great experience). Obviously these guys don't want to work and wanted a day off I guess, whatever. Can tell they don't have vested interest in their job which is to move families. Pro tip-= I should have read these reviews on Yelp because I would have know what we were in for! They have been in business over 70 years, but it won't be many more with the crappy way they run things. Avoid Kenney's at all costs and tell all your friends and relatives the same. Terrible.

They were easy to work with from scheduling to the actual move. The movers worked hard and efficiently and were super friendly. My furniture and boxes were handled with care. They were on time. Prices were very fair. But I think my favorite moment of all was when the man on the phone suggested places to get free boxes, and only THEN told me that they have some new ones that they also sell. "But I'd say don't come in and buy those unless you can't find any of those free ones. Oh, try this place too." I love you, Kenney's. (PS: Totally scored the free boxes.)

I had special notes indicating my location (rural) and number to call with problems or questions. At 1:00 I called to confirm delivery status. I talked to a rude gentleman identifying himself as the only one I could talk to. He informed me a delivery attempt had already been made and there was nothing he could do to redeliver, it was "too bad" but I would just need to reschedule. The highlight of my day was finding out his contract was canceled and he will not be delivering for Home Depot moving forward.

We chose Federal not only on cost but the professionalism Mark displayed. Everything he said he would do he did and made this stressful part of our lives so much easier to deal with. I drove 8 hours last night to meet their movers this morning. They did not show up! After repeated calls and texts to different numbers, the recorded response from one was "we are not accepting calls at this time". The text response is shown below. There was no school and there was no brown Nissan! No truck! No movers! No move! No explanation! No apology! Thank goodness for My Buddy's Movin' Company in Bloomington who I called, and when I explained the situation went above and beyond to help me out! They did a great job!
