I'm never using this company ever again and I'm advising friends and family to do the same. If I purchase additional properties in South Florida they have lost my business. In my opinion the inspection and inspection report was inadequate. I also disliked the employees. In my opinion they were not professional. During the initial visit the inspector did not ask any of my on site representatives to move items so his view and inspection to certain areas would be unobstructed. I will not be recommending them. Do not use them, they are not professionals and missed countless items in our home inspection we are now dealing with years later. When you call them up they claim they are not responsible and there is nothing we can do. They missed (electric issues that should not have passed, pool not properly grounded, cloth wires fraying, termites, etc) we are no coming out of pocket thousands of dollars due to their negligence. May as well never got an inspection. Find someone else who is trusted, up front and knows what they are doing . read more

Waypoint has helped tremendously in the inspection prior to finalizing my mother's potential future purchase. They informed us that the electrical panel was outdated and would be costly to insure. The inspector Robert was professional and friendly answering all of our questions and concerns. He informed us that the AC unit was over 4 years old and would need replacing any minute. I would give Waypoint 0 stars if I could. Alex was our inspector and he missed so many issues with our new home! 2 leaking toilets and one just roughed in, a door handle that was coming off, electrical shorts that could have caused a house fire- just to name a few. I called to talk with someone as soon as I got a price to fix our bathroom issues. The woman who answered the phone said she would have someone call us back to discuss- she actually sounded concerned and I was hopeful that we would hear back from someone. No call and no customer service follow up. What a terrible business plan! We keep getting calls and emails from them asking to recommend them-I would never recommend this company to anyone. The worst inspection I've ever experienced purchasing a home and zero customer service. As an update, the owner of the company finally reached out to address the inspection 3 months after my initial call, and only after I reviewed on Yelp. He offered $200 and asked that I remove my Yelp review. His $200 might be a kind gesture on his part, but his poor inspection cost nearly $600 for their service and even more in issues with our home that weren't addressed. I stand by my Zero stars here. While they aren't the cheapest option when it comes to home inspections ($600 for comprehensive, 4 point, pest inspection and wind mitigation), in my opinion, it was well worth the cost. Their service was very professional, thorough, and above all gave peace of mind to my wife and I through the entire process. Ken was more than happy to show every step of the inspection and walk us through their findings, pointing out several major and minor flaws with the house, and took the time to go through everything they discovered and allow for questions and concerns on our part. I hired Waypoint to inspect a home that that I was in the process of purchasing. Mark Wahl and his associate were entirely professional. Spent two hours inspecting the home. At the end of the inspection they spent time reviewing all of their findings and produced a 390 page report complete with pictures and instructions. I then turned around and sent an list edited from this report to the Seller. After the seller remedied the issues, Mark returned to re=inspect everything thing on the list. read more

A home inspection prior to making a home purchase is very important; it can help identify dangerous conditions, as well as simple fixes needed. I used Waypoint's inspection service on the first home that I considered buying and on the second home. I requested to have the same inspector, Dana, and have trusted him each time. He arrives a few minutes ahead of time and gets right to work; the inspection takes about two hours. Dana is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. When the inspection is completed, he verbally summarizes key concerns, then quickly produces and emails a multiple-page report (35 pages) with color photos of the house and all areas inspected, with deficiencies noted verbally and pointed out in photos. Dana can also produce the four-point inspection needed for homeowners insurance hurricane coverage. Dana follows up via email and offers to explain any questions I might have.
