On our first visit, my 87-year-old father casually mentioned that he hadn't known the place existed. The owner responded by yelling at him about how long the business has been open and listing other places she owns, leaving him feeling embarrassed and ignorant. The final straw happened during my most recent visit. I flew in from Las Vegas and wanted to take my parents, both in their 80s, to get sandwiches. Standing for long periods is difficult for them, so they sat briefly in the dining area while I ordered. They were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. They were immediately yelled at and told they could not sit there unless they ordered from the dinner menu. My father politely explained that we were ordering sandwiches and that his daughter had just flown in. The owner said it didn't matter--if we weren't ordering off the dinner menu, we had to leave. As a result, we were forced to eat in our car in the middle of winter. Great food does not excuse disrespectful, unkind treatment--especially toward elderly customers. The lack of compassion was shocking, and I will not return.

I could have of put a for rent sign on it advertising all the free space. Dinner special entree of pulled pork Mac and cheese for $20 was a joke. Calamari was over fried and tasteless. First off extremely friendly service and safe service. They are doing everything by the book to protect their guests. The waitress could not have been sweeter and gave me a great suggestion for a cocktail and on what to order for dinner. Started off with the pretzel appetizer bc my husband loves pretzels and I love a good homemade cheese sauce. Salads were nice and fresh and I loved the pickled red onion. The dressings are made in house and you can tell. My husband had the prime rib Friday night special and it was cooked to his liking. Nice cut of meat and I stole an onion ring and it was yummy. I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! Didn't try dessert this time around but they sounded good.

Every BBQ I've ever been to, has the unwritten rule of if show up at the end of the night, some of the meat might be sold out. So I asked if we could order everything separately and the guy told us yes - which is ridiculous, because it's a way to up charge. My husband asked for a mixture of lean and moist brisket and the guy at the counter said "we only have brisket." It was at that point, I knew this would be an adventure. We went back at one point and asked for bread, and he raised his voice at my sister and said bread doesn't come with brisket. On to the food, the pulled pork nachos were weird. They used the mustard BBQ sauce which was an odd choice. The hot wings were good! The brisket was disappointing. It was still a little tough, and probably needed to cook for another two hours. The chicken was enjoyable. As for the sides, the corn bread was cold. The broccoli salad, Cole slaw, and potato salad was enjoyable. The place is easy to find and a decent amount of seating. My husband's family is from Pulaski and I don't think we'll be stopping in again next time we are back.
