We were looking for someone who could identify and assess oral ties for infants. The most important thing when it comes to ties is function. If a baby has a tongue or lip tie, but it can function pretty much normally without that much restriction then surgery isn't always required. Anyway, so we went to Brittany, and it just helped so much with clarity as to what we needed to do. She's also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to a lot of topics in general when it comes to development, feeding, etc. Even though we didn't come strictly for anything other than the tie assessment, We ended up having a lot of extra time to assess a lot of other development related things, which was helpful and gave us a lot of peace as parents (which is priceless for new parents). Anyways, with Brittany's help, we were able to make a decision when it comes to seeing a pediatric dentist and eventually getting the lip tie and tongue tie release for our baby. Cannot recommend Wayz to Play enough for OT - esp with a tongue tie baby! I found out about Wayz to Play from my IBCLC. Our baby had tongue tie - a pretty tight one and after dealing with this with our first child, I knew we needed a plan in place to set her up for success, which included some type of bodywork to help get her tongue functioning correctly. It was easy to schedule an appt with Brittany, in fact I called her first and she was super helpful explaining her services and how she would support pre and post op. Prior to the first appt we filled out some paperwork. Billing is done digitally which makes it super easy. At the first appointment Brittany did a full evaluation, showed me what exercises we should start doing now not just for the tongue but also to help strengthen and open up the upper body. She also observed me breastfeeding and gave so many helpful tips to lookout for to ensure baby is latched correctly. I left the appt with a treatment plan and follow up appointment post op. After the revision we saw Brittany again and she observed how I stretched the tongue and provided tips. She then showed me a few additional exercises to do to support the mouth/tongue functionality and observed another feed. My baby was pretty fussy so she showed me some ways to do the exercises so that baby would be more at ease. Overall the services are unmatched. While they don't take insurance I feel the progress we made in 2appts was more than what I would get for months with an in network provider. Our journey with this baby was been a complete 180 and I have so much more confidence with daily exercises to help baby's development. Wayz to Play can provide a superbill to submit for out of network reimbursement (if your plan does that) and you can use your HSA/FSA funds. I'm so glad we found her and now have her as a resource on our baby journey! read more

My newborn had a tongue tie release through a specialist and then Brittany was able to guide me through the aftercare. Her instructions and exercises were far more detailed and I felt more confident in making sure the incision healed properly. Brittany also helped me navigate my breastfeeding journey. A friend referred us to Brittany for her expertise after my son's lip and tie laser frenectomies. He was zapped at week 5 and presented to Brittany at week 7. At that time, I was triple feeding and when breastfeeding wholly depended on nipple shields due to excruciating pain at the latch, even post procedure. My goal was to exclusively breastfeed without the shield, which I frankly thought was impossible. Brittany was a joy to work with. She gave us the confidence to be active participants in our son's therapy. We diligently implemented her treatment plan and we were off the shield within two weeks of our first visit. We still needed a little more help for my little chomper thereafter, but my son is now 3.5 months old and nurses like a champ! I heartily recommend her practice to any mamas seeking such help.
