I was so relieved when they were able to fit me in for a same-day morning appointment on a weekday. My massage therapist was Jessica and she is amazing! She provided so much relief. I was getting headaches from all the tension in my neck and shoulder area, but after seeing her I did not get a headache the entire day (and hopefully not for awhile). She skillfully worked on all my crunchy knots. I felt like a new person after just one hour. Jessica is also incredibly friendly and welcoming. She really listened to what I needed during this session and gave me helpful advice on stretches I can do on my own. The studio itself is simple and has three massage therapy rooms. If you want a fancy shmancy, frou frou place, this may not be what you're looking for. But if you're looking for serious massage therapy, I highly recommend coming here!

This was my first time coming to Dynamic Touch. I've actually been wanting to come here for a while…read morebecause the website and reviews looked amazing. I was welcomed by another therapist and she offered me water and gave me paperwork to fill out. Unfortunately I felt disappointed during my massage and after I left. I've had many massages and prenatal massages and didn't leave feeling wowed like how I normally do. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and booked a 90 min prenatal massage. My therapist showed up just 3 mins before my scheduled appointment and she brought me into room #1 before being completely set up. The table was tiny (smaller than a normal sized massage table) and uncomfortable. There was an office door open within the room and I thought that was so weird it was left open. It felt awkward getting undressed. I'm just used to the lights being dimmed, music on prior to getting settled into the room. The massage was ok. I just felt like I was getting the same up and down movement along my spine for the majority of the service. I found myself saying "my shoulders hurt too." Hardly any time was spent on my legs, hips or arms. I wrote in my paperwork that I wanted to focus on my back and hips and verbally said my I.T bands hurt too. I did dooze off but at this point in my pregnancy anyone rubbing me down for 90 mins, anyone would. After getting off the table I felt like my hips still hurt due to the lack of padding on the table. Needless to say, I won't be rebooking. I don't feel my $135 was worth it. I know they can't help with the sound of airplanes taking off every 10 mins, but the Costa Mesa location in my opinion isn't ideal for relaxation.

Is there a difference between home birth and a birthing center? Well, kinda yes and kinda no…read more A Birthing Center is a place where families go to birth their babies unmedicated in water (or on the bed, on a birthing stool...). And like a home birth - you are getting "midwifery care", which includes prenatal and postpartum visits where you feel seen and heard. Unlike a home birth practice, you may not be able to choose your midwife BUT you do have the option of Nitrous Oxide. The key to a good birth experience is understanding the birthing center protocols BEFORE you commit financially, which is way before you go into labor. What most people fail to understand is that you are paying for "midwifery care" not an "outcome" - and that is the difference between midwifery and hospital care. And that care takes time. Time to get someone into labor, time to manage big feelings, time to make sure your nutrition is top notch, time to make sure you understand how to stay low risk... For example, you need understand the protocol difference between low and high risk pregnancy and show up to do your part to stay low risk (for context low risk can birth outside of the hospital and high risk has to birth in a hospital). You need to understand the birth center protocols for both when you arrive to the center (you must be in active labor) and how long you can stay (this is NOT a hospital - you don't stay overnight). So, if you are clear with your expectations you will have an AMAZING experience! If you don't understand how a birthing center works you may find yourself disappointed. Midwifery care IS a financial investment no matter where you birth - home or a center, but a birthing center might be less of a financial burden because the location (otherwise known as a "facility") may reduce cost. But again, you need to understand HOW your insurance works both for a successful birthing center birth or a successful transport where you birth at the hospital. (Either way you still get post partum care where you are seen and heard). Lorri is the OG of birthing center owners in SoCal, which means her experience level is undeniable. When you have this much experience as a midwife and navigating insurance it's a win/win for families that want a safe place to birth and (hopefully) get their insurance to pay something.

From the moment I walked in, I loved the vibe, the place is so cute!!! The ultrasound room itself felt like being in my own bedroom lol it had such a calm, Zen feeling that instantly put me at ease. My sonographer, Vanessa, was absolutely incredible!!! She was sooo sweet and made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire session. My baby was sleeping and facing down, but Vanessa was so patient. She took the time to show me different positions to move the baby so we could get the perfect photo! Vanessa and another lady (I forgot her name) was also so so sweet. I've already told my friends they need to come here, and I personally plan on returning every two weeks! From the first call I had with her, her calming and compassionate energy immediately felt so good to me and I knew I wanted her along my pregnancy journey as my doula. She recommended taking her hypnobirthing class and I am SO happy I did. I learned so much about how beautiful and natural birth and labor can be. I truly had no idea it was even possible to approach birth like this. I ended up having to be induced early and Tiffany was a great support before she even arrived to the hospital, reassuring my partner and I and keeping us calm. As soon as she got there, I immediately felt more calm and ready to go through all the phases of labor. I ended up laboring unmedicated and I truly could NOT have done it without her support and guidance on how to breathe through different sensations. I'm so proud of myself for doing it and she made me believe I really could do it. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else there to witness the birth of my baby. She even took beautiful photos of my partner and I the moment our baby arrived that I will cherish forever. I could go on and on praising her- but overall I would recommend her to literally anyone- she is heaven sent
