Danielle is the real deal folks. Truly a God send. With my first daughter- I really struggled breastfeeding, it hurt, and my girl was really frustrated and something was up. I was so close to giving up breastfeeding- until Danielle. I was told to use a nipple shield because my nipples were flat and that my baby would eventually grow out It at around 3ish months- but that just felt hopeless and long. After ONE visit with Danielle- she helped me latch her IMMEDIATELY with no pain. Safe to say I was emotional and thankful. I had a great experience with Danielle! I was up every hour feeding...and in pain. My baby was experiencing terrible silent reflux and body tension. Danielle was able to help identify 4 oral restrictions in her mouth that were most likely contributing to her symptoms. She referred us to Team Tongue Tie to have the ties released and also taught me some very helpful feeding techniques. I was referred to Danielle by a friend, and she was right - Danielle is fantastic! A little backstory.... My son had issues with severe gas a spitting up from as soon as my milk came in. I went to see a pediatric ENT to see if there were any structural issues that could be causing my baby to be SO miserable, and he said that there was no tongue tie and that it must be reflux. I was going to look up Danielle, but my OB suggested that I go to an IBCLC through my hospital in the same building. I was still incredibly sore from my C-section, and they are all board certified, so it seemed like an easy decision to just go there. The lactation consultant said his latch was perfect and that his issues and reflux were due to my oversupply (which they probably were, in PART)....but she never even looked in my son's mouth because the ENT had cleared him. Fast forward a couple of months and a couple of bruised boobs later and Dr. Jesse (pediatric dentist) says my son has a severely restrictive lip tie and he doesn't understand how anyone could have missed it. So we had his lip tie revised, we did all the stretches and it healed very nicely. However, because my son had now 4 months of practice nursing with poor form, I went to see Danielle to further fix his latch issues. Danielle checked every inch of his mouth, saw the notch from his revised tongue tie and agreed that it couldn't be missed, noted some tension in his neck and suggested chiropractic care (we're waiting for an appt), corrected some mistakes I had been making, gave us suck training exercises to perform in addition to a different nursing position, and gave us a handout with all of the extra tips she had given us. She has also made herself available for questions since our visit. She is so supportive of our breastfeeding journey, and she will definitely be the first person I visit with my next baby. Danielle is an incredible resource! I had raw and bleeding nipples and my newborn was diagnosed with cheek ties, a lip tie and a tongue tie. For a while we resorted to pumping and bottlefeeding. Wow! To start - it was very comfortable having her in my home. My dogs immediately welcomed her (which is rare). I have been asking for help since delivery. All the Hospital lactation specialists and nurses said I was doing everything right... so four days later I was asking "why was I feeling such pain and why was I bruising and bleeding?" My daughter was struggling to gain weight when she was born, and after 2 months of multiple doctors, specialists, and blood tests, I wanted to see a lactation consultant to rule out any possible breastfeeding issues. I found Danielle through Yelp and set up an appointment within a week. Within 2 minutes of our appointment with Danielle, she discovered a lip tie issue which was likely the cause of our weight gain struggles. She referred me to Dr Y with Irvine PDO to get the lip tie cut (see my other review on him!). As soon as the lip tie issue was resolved my daughter's weight gain skyrocketed and now she's a chubby happy girl! I cannot say enough about how great my experience was with Danielle. My baby was less than a week old and we were really struggling with breastfeeding...my nipples were cracked and bleeding and I was afraid my baby wasnt getting enough milk but I didn't know how I could keep on breastfeeding with all the pain. My husband and I text Danielle to ask for an appointment. She was out of town and wouldn't be back until Monday (it was Friday). She could have just scheduled our appointment and seen us the following week, but instead she thoroughly and patiently answered all of our questions and concerns via text message ALL weekend long. My husband and I were desperate and really had no idea what we were doing and she helped guide us through the weekend until we saw her when she was back. I cannot express the gratitude I feel towards Danielle. When I had my first daughter during the holidays, Danielle came for a home visit first thing in the morning. I was in so much pain and ready to give up on breastfeeding, but she was able to show me how to properly latch and took her time doing so. Went to see Danielle as my last resort before supplementing she gave me so much more information and corrected what the other lactation consultant had wrong. I've been meaning to write a review for some time now and finally have time to do it. It was a journey for my little guy and I thank heavens for finding out about Danielle and the tongue tie tribe. My son had jaundice so the pediatrician had recommended formula which led to my son developing a bottle preference and breast refusal. He screamed and cried every time I tried to nurse him and it was just so heartbreaking for me. I felt rejected by my own child and with the hormones going crazy plus post part blues setting in, it was just bad. I really wanted him to have the benefit of breast milk during the flu/covid/rsv season. I had the option of exclusively pumping like I did for my first child but it was such a terrible experience. I knew I didn't want to do that again. I found Danielle on Yelp and the first appointment alone blew me away. The vast amount of knowledge that she provided me and the reassurance that things will work out gave me such relief, I felt I was going to cry. The underlying reason my son refused the breast and wanted the bottle was that He had tongue, lip and cheek tie. It was too hard for him to nurse and he was not transferring milk because of the ties. we tried to address this conservatively at first which I appreciated a lot. We did the SNS system and nipple shield to get him back on the breast. Unfortunately because his tie was so bad, he still could not transfer the milk therefore a frenectomy was recommended. I had my reservation because the tie would be released by the dentist that operated from the same office and it seemed like a conflict of interest. It also costed more than I felt I could afford. I had a second opinion by another lactation consultant and we worked together for a couple weeks and she too also recommended the release. She also raved about Danielle and her work so it really helped ease my mind. I decided to move forwards with it. They were so kind as to give me a discount because money was so tight especially I didn't get any paid family leave. I got to work with Dr. Berger the dentist that was so kind and motivating, educational and sweet. Dr. Weaver, the chiropractor that pretty much saw me pro bono and I am so grateful for. Katie was the speech language pathologist that helped my little guy after his release to get him in correct position to nurse effectively and teaching how important my own nutrition intake was for him. And Ofcourse Danielle, she is heaven sent. She was so patient with me throughout the process and responding to my desperate emails when I was struggling at home with my little guy. Her presence and the aura she gives is very calming and reassuring. For a nervous wreck like me, it made all the difference. A week after the release, my guy weaned from the SNS system and nipple shield and was back on the breast! He didn't nurse effectively at first but nothing happens overnight. It takes hard work, patience and a team like the tongue tie tribe to make it all happen. I was able to exclusively nurse until going back to work and I am so thankful for Danielle and her team. Alyssa, the receptionist, had once told me that they don't do what they do for the money, rather it's for the babies. I agree with her 100%. read more

Where do I even begin with how AMAZING Danielle is?! I found her through Legendairy Milk as she is an affiliated IBCLC and had done a live video on their page for chronic low supply. I know God sent her to me because my daughter had just gone through a tongue, lip, and cheek tie procedure (it was diagnosed super late at 6 months) and my supply had dramatically dipped over the last two months. I saw Danielle's video and knew she was the lactation consultant for me and that I had to talk to her! I had seen two other IBCLC's at this point, both of who were very kind and knowledgeable but both seemed to lack passion and their recommendations were fairly general. Wanting to continue bf'ing but dealing with a dropping supply, a baby who was re-learning to eat (and always soooo fussy), and trying to pump after as many feedings as possible (and waking up in the middle of the night again to pump) was exhausting me and there was no noticeable increase in my supply. So when I got on the phone with Danielle I told her I needed someone to just tell me what to do and give me a plan! She reassured me that she likes to keep things simple and she definitely simplified my life and I know we are on the right track now. Danielle has so much passion and she is so experienced and that is evident through her approach to talking with mama's but also with the attention to detail that she gave when asking me my background - and we discussed it all because it can all affect breastfeeding. Danielle restored my confidence and changed my breastfeeding relationship with my son in under 2 minutes. I spent the first month of my baby's life in tears because of breastfeeding struggles (poor latch, sleepy baby, distracted baby, worried he wasn't eating enough, etc.). I worked with 2 lactation consultants from the hospital, but all they did was make me feel bad and treat my sore nipple like it wasn't attached to me-- piling on to my anxiety. She actually listened to me, examined my baby, and paid attention to what we were doing. She talked to me like a human and didn't just preach the "by the book" stuff that wasn't working for us. Simply put, Danielle is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! She's made such a HUGE difference for me and my 5 week-old son. We've been struggling with proper latching and gassy tummy issues which made me desperate for help. She's knowledgeable in her field and been incredibly patient in answering all my many questions.
