To me, watching 10-TV news is a bit of a chore. The broadcasts are boring and typically have a doomsday quality. I know they have to cover these stories; that's their job. But I get tired of only hearing about the bad in Columbus. From a visual standpoint, 10-TV does a good job. They have a bright studio set. They use maps, photos, personal interviews, and charts and graphs well. And they have clean screen graphics. However, many of the graphics move and twist, which can be distracting. The news is cast in HD. The morning and afternoon programs look great, but the mid-day program doesn't look as crisp. The quality of the anchors varies wildly. Some are fabulous, like Andrea Cambern. Andrea is well-spoken, caring, and looks great on TV. The woman has been in the business for quite some time, and she hasn't aged a bit. I need to learn her secret. But some of the other anchors don't have the hudspa for TV. It's not that they're awful; they're just missing something. The team has a quick response time. They're always on top of breaking news. The stories are set at a good, quick pace. There aren't many smooth transitions though. You could make a drinking game out of how many times they say "Well..." and switch over to the next topic. They follow-up on previous stories they've covered, which I like. It's good to know how things turned out. The weather guys are great. I like that they give tips about weekend plans or what you should do with your plants. The 10-TV staff try to do good by urging Columbus to have healthy habits, take their Commit to be Fit campaign for example. While 10-TV gives you all the facts, the show in general is not as entertaining as some of the other news broadcasts in Columbus. read more

When there is anything going if it's the weather or politics they interrupt the shows & go on & on about let's say the weather. It's like get over it because it's just snow or a storm coming down but channel 10 over exaggerates everytime. I stopped watching their channel because of this reason. read more

The cancellation by CBS your national affiliate, will be the end of my viewing of anything to do with CBS WBNS or anything else to do with CBS which would include Paramount and any other outlets they may acquire in the future. I have been a viewer of WBNS TV since the days of flippo and Joe Holbrook however I will cut ties when the last Stephen Colbert show airs. I really like their news anchors but can't stand watching their evening news show now as every time it rains somewhere in Central Ohio, which has pretty much be constantly over the past 4 days, they chime in with a really annoying beeping alert sound to notify us that their is a thunderstorm alert somewhere in Central Ohio. That noise is so annoying!!! I understand using that alert tone for severe weather alerts like tornados, but it's going off all during the evening news show now due to rain / thunderstorms somewhere in the vast Central Ohio area. We watch METV to avoid all the garbage on tv today. Your constant weekly intrusive interruption of our programs to play baseball is disgusting and inappropriate. We can not even enjoy a peaceful evening relaxing due to this. If we wanted to watch baseball, we would turn to a sports channel. This is not exceptable. Let's start with their news reporting, it's not news, just snippets so you have to go research anything they say, I won't get into the bias they spout, like almost every other "news" station, biased against Conservatives. The weather forecast is also not very good. I quit watching their news, had enough. Now add in their parent company pulls their station from television providers, Dish, DirecTV, etc. for more money, money that subscribers pay. Ironically, get an antenna and guess what, you can watch their (CBS) programming for FREE, it's broadcast over the air just like a radio station. read more

How is it that there are so many typos I'm the onscreen graphics running at the bottom of our TV screens? On the May 11 noon news a graphic and story ran about the recalled Honda Accords, appearing on our screens as "Hona Accords..." This is blatant carelessness, laziness, indifference and proof that the WBNS10TV graphics writers are not familiar with proofreading or spell checks. This blatant error shows me that if they're not concerned about getting their graphics correct, than how do we know how credible the news stories are? This is at least the twelfth time I've complained about this, but it keeps happening so no one their cares about accuracy, credibility or professionalism. read more

i really don't have a problem with channel 10 itself but one person only bugs me to no end and that is jeff booth. i have never seen any broadcast individual that spouts off at the mouth but says nothing as booth. this morning 5/19/2022 is a good example talking about monkeys and eating your pet pig. i am so sick watching him that i will be avoiding the morning show unless one of his counterparts are doing the weather. one of his most obnoxious traits were was laughing at his own jokes (which i really never thought were funny anyway) but he doesn't do that anymore so i would imagine it was ill advised by his manager. one other disappointment to me is the departure of karina nova. san francisco is getting the best of wbns. i wish her the best. thanks for listening. js read more

I'm giving these guys a four-star rating because they're a lot better than any other station. Not great but better. Except for Brandon Roux, who I'd like to see them get rid of and have said so to the GM. At least the newspeople answer their email, which is a lot better than other places. read more
