Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

Their workmanship and attention to detail were top notch and they were very respectful of my property, as well as my privacy. Their crew was extremely talented, and Dmitry was very hands on and knowledgeable. As with any remodel, there were a few small surprises, but Pulsar came up with solutions and made any alterations necessary. I say "with" because they both were absolutely with us every step of the way. The schedule and commitment they made with us was as equally important to them as it was to us. We had some hiccups. No project that I've ever been involved with goes without a hitch. And our house was built in 1963, and the kitchen was last updated in 1992. So there were a lot of challenges to be met and issues to be dealt with as the kitchen went down to the studs. But Elena is a master project and business manager. And Dmitry is actual an artisan, with a team of very skilled people at the ready to do the work and handle the problems. Even when we had issues with the vendors for the appliances, Elena stepped in and worked the white spaces, smoothing over the issues and getting everyone back on track. Dmity himself literally built custom solutions real time at the work site. We had several challenges because of the way the house was initially built, and he overcame them one by one with creative solutions that were not simply kluges but are now permanent fixes that passed ALL Final Inspections. Which brings me to another point: Dmitry did all the plans for submittal to the city, and Elena submitted all the plans and permit requests, interfaced with the city for all inspections, and gave us copies of all the final inspections and permit information for our files. We paid for those services, and I will tell you it was well worth it. It bears noting that we lived in the house the entire time the work was being done, except for the 12 days when we were on vacation out of the country. Pulsar kept working the whole time we were gone, safeguarding our home, and keeping us in the loop even though we were eight hours ahead. Pulsar was not our least expensive bid. But we made the decision early on that we would not cut corners on this job. We are very grateful to have found Dmity and Elena. They were easy to work with, had respect for our property and our schedule and our budget as much as possible, and never made us feel sorry about choosing to with them. The product for the mass market distribution channel is considerably less expensive. The product sold in the specialty retailers have a lot more brass; have heavier construction, and less plastic. The quality of the finish is arguably more robust. The product in this Kohler Signature store is the specialty category. If a model is in high demand, delivery can be quick. Otherwise, it is a special order. Regardless, they do not carry inventory in store that you can walk out with. This is a showroom. But they do have designs not available in the big box stores. And you can look, touch and feel the movement of the hardware before buying.

Clearly this isn't the first time. There are a lot of companies to choose from please pick someone else.

If I am going to choose to do business with someone, I like to think that person is an overall good person. Otherwise, I'd prefer to take my money elsewhere. Although I'm sure John's "custom" construction business does great work, John's personal character is of large concern. Unfortunately, I had an extremely concerning and disgusting encounter with John in the parking lot. Apparently he forgot that his name and business are under consistent advertisement on his truck. As I sat in a parking lot with my mother in the car for almost two hours, my mom and I were cussed at and threatened by both John and his significant other. I was told that the tire of his truck could run me over, I was called a bitch, and my mother was also yelled and cussed out. I understand that absolutely no one was happy with the fact that we were stuck for almost 2 hours in a parking lot, but road rage of that scale towards two women is unacceptable. At no point was I trying to get in front or cut John off, I was simply trying to keep my place in line but apparently he did not want to hear that. If you're going to have your name and business advertised on your truck, you better think twice about your actions while in your truck. If you plan on doing business with this man, I think it's helpful to know what type of "man" he really is. read more

When I first called John, he was very prompt to come do my house and right at the scheduled time. From the very beginning, John is very pleasant to deal with: good nature, knowledgeable, and helpful in suggesting alternatives for design. He did not take long to send me an estimate that we both agreed on and voilà, I was ready to go. John and his team had quite a task waiting for them: removing a pathway in the back and side of my house, and a large concrete patio (650 sq ft) with major cracks, pouring new concrete, and more... Since my house is on a hill, the team encountered the extra challenge of going up and down many steps to haul the old concrete and carry all the material. Every member of John's team is extremely nice and hard working. The day to pour and finish the new concrete was extremely hot and windy. No time to waste... The finishers definitely know their trade. Watching them work was amazing! Even though my backyard is not completed (sprinklers, grass, and planters to be added), I already love to get out and enjoy my beautiful, new concrete patio. John McMinn & crew were the perfect team to have worked on our split-level backyard project. They followed exactly our upper-level, self-made layout design for a new concrete patio, including stairs leading to a smaller upper-level conversation area containing a built-in L-shaped seating arrangement. Also, the project involved stairs leading to the lower-level area. Workmanship was spot-on; not only are we pleased with the results, we will soon have John return to review two remaining, near-term outdoor projects. We are pleased to say everyone showed up on time each day and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. John's pricing was very competitive, and his personality helped to seal the deal. This is my second attempt to leave a review. I was so impressed with John and his crew that I created a yelp account( trust me, that's huge at my age) that I want to try again.... My wife and I needed some concrete work to address a sagging foundation on our house. After being let down by other flakes and over priced mega companies I found John and his company online and called for a bid. Long story short, I am one hundred percent happy and impressed with his approach and quality of work. The guy is dedicated, down to earth and did what he said he would do for a reasonable price. I discovered John and We Do It Custom about 2 years ago, when I needed some paving work completed in our yard. A different contractor had bailed on us, and John stepped in to save the day. He helped us find the right person for the job, and I knew we would use We Do It Custom for any big projects moving forward. Fast forward to November of this year--We were ready to redo our guest bathroom, and I called John right away. He was responsive, kind, and understanding throughout the entire process. John was recommended to me by a local lumber supplier (Crenshaw Lumber) along with 2 other Contractors. I decided to go with John because he showed up on time to give me an estimate to knock down and rebuild my deck.His price was in the middle of the 3 contractors. He listen to all I wanted and came up with suggestions on what he though would look better. I liked the way the deck came out looking so I hired him to put in a new property line fence which also came out very nice. He is very professional and finishes his work on time. One thing that is nice about hurst construction is that he has in house specialists that do their specific trade- plumber, electrician, framer, finish carpenter, painter, and a few others. The quality of work you get from these trade individuals is very high because they are working within their specialty. Another thing that was great about Troy was his willingness to meet with us and provide his input when needed. The scope included a full guest bathroom remodel (excluding the shower), master bathroom paint and flooring with a new tile shower, bedroom popcorn ceiling skim coating, paint, water heater replacement, new vanity and mirror, plus all associated electrical work. The entire project was completed in about two months and stayed right on schedule, which was impressive given the number of different areas and trades involved in a condo building. What truly stood out was the exceptional communication and project management from Yair. He did an excellent job setting clear expectations from day one and followed through consistently. He made a point of stopping by every week to personally inspect the progress, which gave us great peace of mind. The quality of the workmanship was very good across the board - clean, professional, and detailed. The transformation in our bedroom is especially noticeable. They turned our bedroom into a place we don't want to leave! The changes completely changed the feel of the space, making it bright, modern, and incredibly comfortable. To keep a long story short, they make up a lot of excuses for the many errors they make. They try to gaslight you into thinking they are doing you a favor by fixing their own mistakes. They try to blame the errors on you or it "previously" being there. They claim they will work with you but when their works returned, they literally were huffing and puffing out loud about having to fix their work. I have all texts and evidence and will be filing to a contractor state license board complaint and having a second opinion on the work done. Our project was upgrading the cantilever balconies on 4 townhouses. We interviewed 4 different…read morecontractors and landed with Gilbert Rocha Construction. Let me add that we previously had the other 3 balconies done in 2022. These other 3 we took the lead on organizing the different contractors for the different work (i.e., demo, structure, electrical, plumbing, railings, flooring, stucco etc). The goal this time was not to be involved and have Rocha take point. Initially, it felt like we had made a good choice, but then we had a pause in having work done. Upon checking in we learned Gilbert was in the hospital. His wife Marie assisted with getting work moving forward. Gilbert was not seen for about 6 weeks. And during this time we had many days when no work was done. Once Gilbert was back he was not the same. We had to spend many hours tracking work and what needed to be done to keep the project moving, along with the bookkeeping, when he asked for a large amount over what was owed. The project took longer than initially projected, which we were ok with to get a good end product. Once the balconies were finished, final payment made, we asked for warranty information, Gilbert Rocha said he would forward. Warranty information was never received after multiple emails requesting. Not even 6 months later our railings are rusting at the welding joints. Gilbert Rocha's emails bounce back and the numbers are not in service. He may be out of business, but we still deserve to have a warranty to have the safety of railings corrected.

Within 48 hours Gilbert submitted a detailed, itemized proposal. This included his fees as well as what it would typically cost for things like cabinets, countertops, tiles, etc. He suggested places for me to get these items. Gilbert coordinated the work to run smoothly and was available every step of the way. Emerson made my tiled floors and walls look like art. Héctor is a gem. He is the project manager who stepped in for various tasks. Everything Héctor did was done with precision and care. He and Gilbert made sure each team of workers left the area clean and made sure I was happy with the work. I made payments as the job progressed and knew exactly what I was paying for. The job ended within the time frame Gilbert had estimated, even with the extra work I asked for. Gilbert Rocha is a man of his word. I love my bathrooms!
