During my last visit to Napa, I decided that it was time for me to become a responsible adult. On prior trips to Napa, one unlucky member of the party would always have to self-sacrifice and serve as the much loathed position of DD (Designated Driver). Sometimes we would pick straws, or draw names out of a hat, or do a random lottery, much like selecting a tribute for the Hunger Games. One year for my boyfriend's birthday, I took him to Napa and had to be his DD but that meant we both could not fully enjoy the Napa experience together. Being a licensed working individual now, I decided to investigate other options of transportation in Napa and I am so glad we found We Drive! We arrived in SF on a Thursday and after searching "driver" near "napa" on Yelp, I called the number on the We Drive website and had a reservation set up within minutes. Steve was very accommodating and even though our phone call cut off during our BART ride, he texted me the information I was requesting as a follow-up. Jim was our driver for the day and he was an absolute pleasure to get to know! He called us the morning of our trip to review our planned itinerary, made suggestions on places to go, and personally walked us into each winery. He was a 110% gentleman and opened the door for me every time. He never once got lost and knew the Napa roads like the back of his hand. He even brought us waters to enjoy for the day! I was so, so impressed with his service. We booked Jim for a total of 3 hours but our wine tastings ran a bit longer than expected so he graciously extended our reservation to 4 hours. I cannot rave about Jim enough, and would recommend him to anyone looking for a driver in Napa! Request Jim, you won't be sorry! The only thing to watch out for is there is a 6 hour minimum at a rate of $35/hour. I did go on the We Drive website and didn't see this 6 hour minimum stated on the website. Steve, the company owner, informed us of this over the phone but said that since it was a week day and not busy season, he would be able to make an exception for us and find us a driver for 3 hours. If you try to use We Drive on a busier weekend day, not sure if this would be a problem. Also, we tried using the Yelp Deal but was informed that it was only applicable to reservations that were 6 hours or more. I also didn't see this mentioned in the fine print for the Yelp Deal but maybe it should be added for future Yelp Deal users. Overall, Jim made our Napa trip safe and fun! On top of being a great driver, he was just such a pleasant and kind human being. I am happy that we left Napa with bellies full of wine and DUI-free! Thank you We Drive! read more

George was awesome. He was very professional, helpful, and so accommodating. A small group of us wanted to spend the day in Napa but none of us wanted to be DD nor did we have a group large enough to justify a shuttle. So we decided to go with WeDrive and it was the best decision. George called a few days before to discuss the itinerary. On the day of, he drove us all over Napa from early morning until sunset. He recommended wineries, tasting rooms, and even stayed later than originally booked. He definitely knows wine country. Paying the money for a safe driver is a no brainer, and enables us to continue to enjoy wine tasting in the Valley safely and responsibly. Linda is a treasure and works very hard to add a personal, attentive touch. She is punctual, and assists in making appointments for both lunch and tastings. We Drive makes the booking process seamless and easy. I have never had an issue getting a driver for our trips. We really appreciate the top notch service and will continue to use the company for all of our driving needs. My girlfriends and I took a girls trip to San Francisco and decided to use WeDrive for a day trip to Napa. We weren't sure what to expect but it was the best experience. Our driver was Angie and she was the absolute best. We were open to anything and she planned us the perfect day including booking us at several wineries and lunch. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was just a wealth of information. She went above and beyond-- taking pictures for us, checking us in at each winery and bringing waters and Gatorade. I recently planned a birthday trip to Napa for my wife and 14 of her/our best friends. Planning round trip transportation from SF for such a large group only two weeks out wasn't easy and it's was also potentially very expensive. As such, I was extremely fortunate to find WeDrive! First, it's much cheaper to rent a vehicle and to hire a WeDrive driver as opposed to booking a limo service. I called several places for quotes and it would've cost $1100-$1700, not including winery fees. We paid a fraction of that. Second, our extraordinary driver, Big Tony, from WeDrive was absolutely instrumental with helping to set our itinerary and booking our winery appointments. After spending a fruitless week calling wineries and getting scoffed at by operators for trying to book "last minute" appointments for a group of 14, I decided to take advantage of WeDrive's complimentary "concierge service." Big Tony jumped on the situation quickly and made a slew of calls to local wineries (he knows many of the owners and managers personally so he has an inside track). He was in contact with me daily (and sometimes even hourly) during the last few days and exhibited both creativity and ingenuity as he locked down our customized itinerary. We again saved considerable money as he avoided wineries which charge higher prices and which require large deposits for big groups. On the day of the excursion, Big Tony showed up ahead of schedule. He was friendly with all of our guests and very flexible. He fluidly allowed us to change our schedule after two of our friends showed up late. He expertly and safely guided us around the Napa area. He was also personable and fun to be around. We had a fantastic day -- Big Tony and I received a wide array of compliments from our group. Most importantly, my wife had a wonderful birthday. In retrospect, I should've started planning 1-2 months in advance and I really put WeDrive and Big Tony "behind the eight ball" during the last week of planning. However, they really came through for me in a jam and offered a phenomenal transportation and concierge service for a very reasonable price. You won't find a better driver than Big Tony. What a fabulous service you provide!! I was up in Napa Valley for a reunion with some of my college friends. We weren't sure of which wineries to visit and wanted to be able to relax and enjoy our day. I found 'We Drive' in Yelp and was able to easily make a reservation for a driver the next day. Jeff was perfect. He helped come up with an awesome itinerary during the day which custom-met our requests. He definitely took us to amazing wineries.. Some of which we hadn't heard of! He often introduced us to a person or people behind the tasting counter and was very patient as we tasted. He was always 'around' but never encroached on our privacy or space. He would always pick us up at the doorway if he had to park offsite and always carried our wine for us. He recommended an awesome place for an efficient lunch which was exactly what we wanted. Our driver Jim was great. He knew the area very well and it was like having our own personal tour guide. He was never too talkative, either. He knew of all the winery's we wanted to go to and he suggested a few of his own. He was extremely polite. My wife and I had a great 5 hour wine tasting all through out Napa valley. I recommend only going to 3 or 4 vineyards for tasting, because you will be over it around 4. And 4 wine tastings take at least 4 hours if you taste quickly. I highly recommend We Drive. WeDrive sounded a little too good to be true for our Napa trip, but turned out to be a really great experience! It was easy to book on the app, although it was hard to find information on the app about minimum hours and what happens if we go over the time we booked. Our driver, Darrell, was on-time and really friendly and professional. He helped us plan which wineries to visit and called each to inquire about reservations. He really went above and beyond when we had car troubles - I personally am clueless when it comes to cars so I really appreciated all his help! He was willing to do whatever necessary to make sure we had a good time on our trip. I booked our reservation for 6 hours but he told us we could use him for as long as we wanted. This was great since it's often hard to know exactly how long you will spend in Napa. I'm not sure if this is the case every time but I really appreciated it. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angie, our wine country driver. we had a party of six, were a bit pressed on time and Angie handled our situation so gracefully. She offered to order sandwiches for our group, pick them up and even waited in a long line for special rolls for our bread. When one person in our party had a sandwich mixed up, Angie got right on it, went back out and got her a new sandwich no questions asked. As a driver, we never expected any of this, but we were so grateful by how she just thought of everything and helped us in every way possible.
