Nice gazebos and picnic areas for parties and events. Enjoy the great view over the lake as you walk around. Sometimes they also have remote controlled boat races on the lake. Four years later, I still find myself driving here from time to time to do the old running route. Besides that, I run through the park on an almost weekly basis, as it is part of my running clubs 12 mile Sunday run. The park is open and welcoming. A year or two ago volunteers built the Build Jake's Place, a "boundless" playground which welcomes children of all abilities and disabilities. During my most recent visit to the park this past week, I noticed that a second new playground area is being built. (I can't find the info now, but I think I read that it is going to be a softball/baseball field of sorts, again for all children, regardless of ability/disability). The park also includes a quarter mile track, restrooms, bocce court, a basketball court, and baseball field. There is also what appears to be a soccer or football field set back behind a wooded area that I have not ventured to, but I often see games being held there. A short walk to the other end of the park brings to to an area of the Cooper River, and a large grassy field area where one could spread out and relax. For the runner or walker, there are also some trails, which Cherry Hill Township has been making a point of maintaining in the last year or two, and has encouraged people to take advantage of these areas. I only recently ventured back in these trails, and they are really beautiful, well maintained, and not long or complicated enough to get you lost. If you prefer the roads, a lap around the entire park (Caldwell Road, Park Blvd., Kings Hwy., and back into the park on Bortons Mill) is about a 1.25 mile run. The park area is also home to the old Croft Farmstead, but I'll be honest... I don't know what goes on in those buildings, just that it's a historic area in the township. One thing the township/county needs to improve are the restrooms. On the occasion that they are actually open, they are absolutely awful. Smelly, filled with graffiti, no paper towels, and just filthy. The water fountains could use some upgrading, too... they are forced to be turned off in the winter because they don't utilize no-freeze technology, and in the summer the water is just hot, and therefore useless to an overheated endurance runner. If the park could fix either one of those things, they'd easily be a 4 or 5 star park in my eyes.

I liked the Parcourse FitCircuit, which is a circular path with stations where you can stop and do exercises at various intensities and difficulties. There are bars for doing pull-ups as well. There is even a bike fixing station with tools to fix your bike or pump air into the tires. The circuit is near a baseball field and a playground. There are trees around the area where you can probably walk around a bit to feel like you're in a forest. You won't get lost though because they're right next to homes. I would definitely come back here.

For the parents: The playground is broken up into several sections. There are some non-traditional pieces such as the train or the ferry boat. Terrific offerings if you are a kid and have a basic imagination. There are also three separate, more traditional areas with the standard tower like climbing areas, multiple slides and crawling areas but with lots of different colors including pink, baby blue and goldenrod. There are also two swing sets, side by side and a plastic see-saw. The playground is in an area that is 230 feet by 80 feet. The entire area is mulched.

There is nothing to do here for a beginner except maybe play with this tiny pyramid and try to learn how to skate transition, The shallow concrete is pretty Jenky it's far jankier than the deep end and the jankyness slows you down a lot, so keep that in mind. The roll in just throws you into the wall unless you go in sideways like a surfer or something and it's pretty sketch doing that, I'd say it's great for round wall and vert riders the vert side is just barely 8' so it's a great entry point for the vert curious to get your feet wet, bring softer wheels as the rough pavement isn't letting you slide out super easy which is a plus for some and a minus for others.

Pros: The gym has a LARGE amount of amenities. There are two basketball courts (which are also used for pickleball), an indoor lap pool with hot tubs, an outdoor swimming area with slides (at an extra charge). There are classes, a ton of different machines for both cardio and lifting, and a really clean and upscale atmosphere. People tend to mind their own business and the staff have on average been helpful, at least in my experience. There is also a kids "daycare" if that's what you call it. A lot of parents will use this so they can have time to work out and actually work. There's a little area right next to the cafe that has tables and outlets. I see a lot of people with MacBooks doing work. They probably work remotely. Who knows. Cons: The price point for this gym is definitely the highest of them all coming in at $220.00 a month per person. IF you are married or you can prove cohabitation, you can add an additional person on your account for around $100 a month. This gym definitely has a crowd that is very gymcentric. This isn't a bad thing. But some people who are looking for a more chill or less intimidating atmosphere may think twice. I was one of these people until I decided to just not care. But that's easier said than done. The gym can be exceptionally crowded at peak hours. So if you plan on going daily I'd do my very best to avoid late afternoons on weekdays and nights on weekends. I was hoping the bathroom situation would be a little better but, there seems to be 2 bathrooms for ladies and men of course (from what I've seen). And with the amount of people there sometimes, it can be a little bit hectic. The locker room is fine and the showers are just average. At the price point of $220.00 I was expecting some futuristic pod shower than also does your taxes but, we all can't have what we want. The outside swimming area is an additional monthly charge, by the way. Conclusion: So take it or leave it. The price point is HIGH, but there are a lot more amenities and options for machines than any other gym out there. Is that justified? I don't really know. So three stars. Laurel location does not have pickleball courts. Only a basketball court with lines everywhere and rolling nets. Luckily I was able to stop at the Princeton location after work, if not for that I probably would've cancelled right away. Why does this location not have real pickleball courts and hardly any open play times?? 2. The gym is mediocre at best. Half of the space is dedicated for their strength training classes, so at busy hours, good luck finding a rack, especially one with a mirror in front of it. 3. They also don't have a turf area, or any sort of soft surface. It is all hardwood. 4. Half of the machines are very old, especially the cable machines Also, their business tactics are shady in general. When going to sign up online, my only option for membership was "the signature" so I assumed that is all they had. Turns out after 5 months I realized they have a standard membership that is slightly cheaper, but is not marketed anyhwere because they want you to pay up for the signature. So I was paying around $414 a month for x2 people to get subpar basically everything.

Nice people working here, decent sized shop with some ok merchandise, decent facilities. The majority of the batting cages you have to sign up for in advance which are primarily used by teams, but there are three batting cages in the back which are token-operated and do not require a reservation. They have bats and helmets for people to borrow. Little space outside of the cages so no room for practice swings. One token costs $1 and gets you ten pitches from the machine. I bought 20 tokens for my son and I. Unfortunately, the machine jammed constantly, and/or the token machine stole our tokens, so then you have to go back to the front to tell an employee, but there are only two employees and they're dealing with thirty customers at once so it takes time for them to come back and sort things out. The machine ate one of my last tokens and I couldn't even be bothered to go tell an employee again because I just wanted to leave. When it was working, the batting cages were fun and both my son and I enjoyed it. But because of the malfunctions we'll probably look for another batting cage in south Jersey before we come back here.
