A line of customers would stretch back ten car lengths on really bad days and he sorted and weighed as if he were working under protest while detained in a prison camp. If you expressed frustration about his lack of pace, he smirked and said you could go somewhere else. Roberto, the worker at their other location behind Ralphs in Ventura, liked to take two-hour siestas in his white pimped-out Escalade when his posted lunch hour was just one hour. No wonder Nexcycle went under and couldn't make it! Reliable customer service provided at a productive pace is key to keeping customers. Don't hire slow, unproductive, lazy people who lack energy and enthusiasm for their jobs. Nobody should have to wait in a long line for an hour or more just to redeem their cans for the CRV deposits made at the store register. That's ridiculous.

At Santa Paula Recycling, I've found them to be well organized usually friendly. They are often quite helpful by providing me with assistance unloading my car and placing the bottles and cans into their wire receptacles for weighing. The place is on a large dirt lot and there is plenty of space for cars, but there is no traditional parking lot.

I have to call the next day and they say they will have a driver come by and dump. Other houses on my block aren't dealing with this. It's really bizarre. I know they're swapping old bins with the new ones, and ours are finally swapped, but I would have a driver tell me "hey, leave your bin out I will come by and replace it with a new one today!" I leave the bin out, and nothing. This happened with every color bin we had. Just seems like there is some major disorganization. I've always gotten really friendly customer service when I call, which I do appreciate. But.. when we had a trash service in Los Angeles I think I had to call them maybe 1 time in 4 years and it was for a bulky item pick up. Never had them just missing a pick-up on 1 or multiple bins. I don't think I'm alone here, I am just so curious why they're having such an issue with their baseline service...

That's what it deserves…read more First, I'm gonna start off by saying I was standing in line and someone else was let go in front of me when I was already standing in line the SA worker pointed to the next person in line which was me, but I gave it to someone else. But that's not even my main issue. My problem is I had a bag of #2 copper, that I have been gathering for a few months. Weighed it at home before even going to the recycling center and it weighed 21 pound. Wherever this worker was, a SA employee, put up my items on the scale and weighed them at 3 pounds total which ultimately came out to $11 total which is an absolute rip off, disrespectful and an absolutely a punch in the face for my time and totally unacceptable to get ripped off. Damn to top it all off. The two employees were looking at me and staring as I walked back to my car like that isn't already obvious and I'm trying to figure out what is it they have against me? This is a waste of my time and my money. Why would someone want to rip off someone off? It doesn't interfere with the employee earnings. Oh and by the way, but these employees, saw my bucket of copper and told me before putting my copper on the scale that anything over $20. I'll have to wait 4 days to get payout bs. what a coincidence, now all of a sudden it only weighs 3 pounds.

They are efficient and friendly. I think the amount they pay for aluminum, plastic and glass here are the best in the area. I'm not sure if the do other recycling materials (i.e. copper, scrap metal) because I don't need those services. But if they do, I'm sure you'd get the best prices on those too. They also have a bathroom available to customers for hand washing after you drop your recycling.

I had to run to pick it all up cause of the wind and the jerk didn't even try to pick up their mess. This company complains about littering and makes up ridiculous rules for the CUSTOMER, but they can do whatever they want. To add to the frustration, their new site is one of the worst I've seen and I'm a IT Technician. The due dates e-mailed are not the same as when they're actually due on their website. If it is the same, it's off. I usually get charged the 12th-15th of every month. They never answer their e-mails or calls either. Don't bother leaving a voicemail. Just wait for someone to answer.
