My daughter climbing on the monkey bars.

I absolutely love this place to take my daughter to. Right off the bat I want to mention some negatives about it. Firstly, it's located a bit out-of-the-way for me. Secondly it's more on the higher end as far as cost goes. Because of that I don't come here often. When I do it's totally worth the cost because when you purchase admission you can actually stay there all day. As well as, leave for lunch and come back to enjoy the play room even more. The owner is fantastic with the children, he is welcoming and I LOVE how he remembers the children's names. I think it offers a certain feeling of comfort for the kids when they can have a safe place to play like this. It is a play place where children of all mental spectrums can feel welcomed. They have a zip line, trampolines, monkey bars, rope walls, and plenty of swings. Children can easily be entertained here for several hours. The last time I was there I even discovered they were doing a yoga class. Definitely recommend We Rock the Spectrum

We celebrated my grandson's second birthday at this venue! It was perfect for both children and adults! The children loved the swings, trampoline, toys, and costumes. The adults enjoyed helping the children with all the adventures this venue had to offer. This gym even has a "calming" room which everyone tried out at least once! The gym offers plenty of exploration and fun. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Everyone from old to young were smiling throughout the party and my grandson giggled happily with each activity. This gym allows for the creative imaginations of children and an opportunity for learning through interactive play. I recommend this venue for anyone looking for a place to hold a birthday party, as well as an afternoon of fun!

Everyone should check the place out with small kids! We have gone twice and our boys have had a blast every time. Literally leaving in tears because they don't want to leave. Which brings me to the next point they think of every detail to keep the kids happy. The owner offers a come back coin if they get their shoes on. They are very interactive with the kids and you can tell everyone who works or volunteers at this place truly cares about this kids there. It's not enormous so you can pretty much keep and eye on you kids at every time which is fantastic for a mom of two boys. The activities are not overwhelming but so much fun for kids. This place is also geared to children on the autism spectrum which mine are not but it's great that everyone can play together! Seriously if you haven't been there and you're a mother of young kids you are missing out!!

If you are contemplating having your kid's party here, DO IT!! Trust a mom who has had many'a less…read moresavory party experiences in the area. We had my child's birthday party there on Friday evening, and oh my goodness, we could not have had a more positive experience. Prior to party day, I spoke with Goldi on the phone. She was so kind and warm and helpful, it felt like I was talking to an old friend. She answered every question and was amazing. The day of the party, I was greeted at the entrance with the bright shining faces of Makayla, Goldi, Lisa and Brett. From the second I walked in, they were a cohesive, unbelievably efficient team. Just as Goldi had made me feel on the phone, all four of them made me and all of my guests feel completely at home. My husband and I divided and conquered party day, so I was the solo party prepper (or so I thought!). Goldi and Lisa, like a real life Sonic and Tails, whipped up a beautiful party area for our group with personalized touches, tailored to my son's interests. They did the *work* part, ALL of the *work* part, and let me creatively direct. I let them know my son gets nervous when being sung to, center of attention, etc. and they were beautifully accommodating to that, including pushing off the Huggie parade until he was comfortable. Lisa (Huggie! :]) was patient and fun with all of the kids. Goldi was her right hand lady (literally) to keep things moving, fun and safe. We had one little girl in our party who wanted to see Huggie, but was scared to get close and crying. Goldi approached her so gently and kindly, demystifying the aspects of Huggie she was worried about, and giving the little girl space to choose. Our girl got a huge smile, ran to Huggie and HUGGED him. A child who just moments before was hiding behind her friend in fear, smiling her tears away and facing her fears. It was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Makayla stayed at the front for the first half of the party, and I'm so happy she did because although we'd have loved her company, having her as the first person you are greeted by is a great call by KE Ballwin, because she is sunshine in human form. She kept the lines moving safely and efficiently in both directions, while chatting with and brightening the days of those entering and leaving. She and Brett took over as the primary party people once Goldi and Lisa had to leave, and Goldi physically brought us together to thank me for coming, and verbally handing us off to Makayla, so all of us were on the exact same page the whole time. Brett was also incredibly helpful and seems to be like a backstage manager. It seemed as if they were physically positioned in a way to be able to communicate and work together effortlessly, even from across that giant building! He could not have been sweeter or more helpful either, even reminding me a couple times to absolutely not lift a finger cleaning up our party. I did not have one single minute of stress from the time I reserved my party time to the time we got home with that post-successful party joy! If I ran the world, Goldi, Lisa, Makayla and Brett would get a raise! But at the very least, I feel their kind hearts, work ethics, and clear expertise deserve to be recognized. Thanks so much, guys! You made returning Kids Empire guests of my family, and all of our guests!!

The adults don't have to pay, but still get to participate. Everything seemed really clean which feels rare for a play place like this. We took advantage of the $6 snack box which I felt like was a good deal considering what you get/how it would be priced separately. My daughter (3) had the time of her life and has been begging to go back ever since. I have to shoutout the employee who was working, Goldie, because she made the whole experience so smooth and she went out of her way to be helpful to us. We will be returning soon!!

The arcade was the same experience it's always been, sad there's no coins or physical tickets anyone but that's just technology taking over. The biggest turnoff was the playground area you had to pay extra for, it's so small too, not worth the $14/kid to pay for. The pizza was great and the staff were very nice, just pricing was just not reasonable. We had coupons that made it better but once in the building we looked at what the pricing would be without the coupon and were shocked. Before we visited we tried downloading the app and visited the website, it was so convoluted trying to figure out the pricing and how the games work now. I think if the company went back to a more traditional basic structure it would draw more people in. I could see how many parents wouldn't want to visit based on all the pricing and buy-ups needed to get the full experience. What really was a punch in the gut - they took away the stage and the animatronics, it's just a screen now, and to add insult to injury, Chuckie is skinny now?! He's a rat who eats pizza..come on!

I had never been to BAB for a birthday.. and apparently there's ONE birthday bear you can get for the price of your child's birthday ($2 for second birthday, $3 for third birthday, etc.) I had no idea. We stupidly assumed that when the girl said to us after we told her we were there for his birthday "oh great THESEEE are the ones you can choose from" *showing us a row of animals* that those were the birthday animals. I let my son pick out 2 because she said they were "buy one get one with the red sticker for $15." My son made the dogs he picked and we by-passed all of the ridiculous things they try to upsell you. We get to the checkout and the girl says it's $60. Now I have zero problem paying this amount IF we didn't make it clear that we were there for my son's birthday. She then said (in a super condescending tone) that we had to specially ASK for that certain bear and birthday special. Like how am I supposed to know that? She 100% knew what she was doing and upsold us because we didn't know what the "birthday special" meant. Super shady.
