Our Sister's Place is such a hidden gem. They have a really good selection of furniture and other items, and everything is reasonably priced. What makes it even better is knowing that your purchase is helping survivors of domestic violence. The staff is kind and the mission behind the store truly matters. Our Sister's Place is a nonprofit organization that supports victims of domestic violence. To raise money, Our Sister's Place operates a thrift store in Tequesta. They accept donations and then sell them to generate money for their programs in north Palm Beach. Programs include a crisis line, relocation assistance, outreach, advocacy, and other programs that assist domestic violence victims. This is a great non profit to support and a great thrift store to shop. They had so many interesting items including collectible, vintage, and antique pieces. There was also a selection of furniture, clothes, accessories, and household goods. They were having a sale while I was there with glass coffee pots, linens, and pillows further discounted. I ended up purchasing a couple of collectibles. Sharon helped me at checkout and mentioned that she thought they might have more. After looking around the store and not finding them she took my phone number. Five minutes after leaving I received a call that they located the items. I happily came back and purchased the rest of what they had. The ladies here are so nice and they have a lot of great things. I found the prices to be very reasonable. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. read more

Unfortunately this place has gone totally down hill in the last year or so. They are way more focused on clothing & high priced furniture. Most things are overpriced, they no longer offer their loyalty stamp card & most of the people working there are very unpleasant. I used to frequent this place a LOT, but I think I'll be taking my donations & money elsewhere - unfortunate because they do serve a good cause. read more

Bizarre experience here; finally found some things that I wanted to purchase. One was an oval au gratin dish and it was priced at $5. When I went to pay for it the woman working the counter was in an ongoing discussion with a customer she had just checked out. When she finally turned her attention to me she took the dish and said, "Boy, that's heavy!" And then she looked at the price and told me, "I can't sell this to you, it's worth way more than that!" Then she complained that "the people in the back aren't pricing things correctly". After telling her that I was glad to pay the stated price for ALL the items I was purchasing she continued to refuse to sell me the piece - although she said she was "willing to sell me the other items". I just left without purchasing anything. If they're having staff issues they should solve them in the back room, not berate customers. Very unprofessional and unnecessary. I suppose the case could be made that there are MANY items sold that are "worth more". And those stores are "retail" and they purchase items for resale. they're not selling donated goods for profit. read more

Nice store but the woman behind the counter is beyond rude! The first time she treated me like she couldn't be bothered, I chalked it up to her having a bad day, but it is consistent. I thrift for my classroom often but don't think I'll be back to this store. It costs nothing to be kind. read more

I love this shop! They have housewares, clothing for everyone, vintage and even antiques. They have art, lots of furniture and really cool unique items. They sell name brands and even Lilly Pulitzer! I dropped off a large bag of new and gently used Lilly Pulitzer today! I urge you to go in, the staff is extremely helpful. Our Sister's Place helps women and children in domestic violence! Unbelievably rude. The woman couldn't be bothered to assist to me. We approached with every intention to purchase multiple items at whatever cost but her complete lack of hospitality and manners made it so we left everything we intended to purchase. So disappointing. Will never return, and will share this with my circle of girlfriends and anyone else who asks who thrift regularly to not share their hard earned dollars here. read more
