Joe is very professional and I'm glad that we had him paint our new condo. Our 2 bedroom condo needed a fresh coat of paint (and some colors to jazz up the place). We found Joe through an internal listing and was positively recommended by someone who previously had him painted their place. After Joe quoted the price of the painting, he stopped by to give my condo a look just to make sure. That's good because I don't like surprises and I'm sure he doesn't like surprises either. It ended up costing more than the quote but that's because we found out during the walk through that the kitchen ceiling needed more work than we thought (we needed more mesh applied to the kitchen ceiling than we previously thought). The day of painting, Joe came with all his equipment and went to work. Took him 4 days to get our whole condo painted (kitchen, living room, guest bedroom, master bedroom and our two bathrooms). The paint job came out great. After Joe was done with the painting, he told us that he'll stop by after a month or two if there are areas that needed some touch up. It's been almost 2 months and so far so good. All in all, I am very pleased with the finished product and would recommend Joe to anyone that needs a professional painter. read more

Joe painted three rooms, ceiling, and all trim in our apartment before we moved in. He was responsive and easy to work with from the beginning and helped us figure out what we needed done. He explained the process and made recommendations on what we should get done, including some cleanup of our windows and fresh ceiling paint, which was dirty in the light of day. He helped us order our paint and helped us figure out what type to get. He was flexible with our schedules and got the job done very quickly. When I got to see the finished product it looked like a different space. He cleaned up the chipping wood on the sills and did very even trim and ceiling lines. We had guests visit this weekend and I was very proud for them to see our beautiful new home. It was definitely a smart priority for us to make. We plan to ask Joe to finish up several more rooms when we are ready to budget it in- we just bought our apartment, but hope to have some more done in a few months. Joe completed work on our new apartment last month and I cannot speak highly enough of his work. My husband and I thought we could try to paint the place ourselves, but 5 hours in, with no real progress, other than terribly jagged lines, we did a search on Yelp and decided to go with Joe based on the glowing recommendations from other Yelpers. Within a few minutes of my email inquiry, Joe responded with all the right questions and concerns. He was extremely professional, courteous and also super funny! Any professional service provided with a smile and a sense of humor is A+ by us! Because of our work schedules, we were not able to meet Joe in person when he began the project, and only had the pleasure of meeting him upon completion of the job. Despite that hurdle, Joe communicated with me 3 to 4 times per day with a progress update. He handled this caveat with such coolness that a HUGE weight was lifted off our shoulders during what was a pretty stressful moving-in period. He was pretty much the easiest part of the process! And then we saw the amazing job he did. Wow. I'm going to have to upload some pictures soon. Needless to say, my husband and I would not have come close to what he was able to produce. If you want a job done right, you must hire people who know how to do it and who are certified and insured, like Joe. And despite a massive mishap on the part of Home Depot - who gave us unmixed paint on our second purchase when we needed to buy a bit more - Joe did his best to ensure that the paint was mixed evenly and well on the walls. Joe is a true perfectionists so he is still trying to help me get a refund from Home Depot, but to our untrained eyes, all we notice is the great work he did on our new place so we can't imagine having a better job done! I found Joe on craigslist and from our first phone call till the project was finished he was very courteous and attentive. He called me or emailed me once or twice daily to keep me informed on what was going on. I had my whole apartment painted and he had no problem moving my furniture and keeping everything free of paint and clean. He followed my building restrictions perfectly and was insured which was very important. He did most of the painting himself except for one day when he brought in a helper. I had an accent wall painted in my living room which looked so good that I had him come back after and do an accent wall in my bedroom as well. We found Joe via an internet search and while we contacted another contractor at the same time Joe was the only one to respond and in the end that was the best thing. While the apartment had been painted before there were major problems with a peeling and flaking ceiling that had never been addressed and we felt that a professional was needed. The walls also needed work and Joe made it clear from the beginning what was needed and what he intended to do. I had a really small paint job that I needed done, basically the bedroom door. Joe emailed me back right away to say the job was to small for him to take on. I really appreciated how quickly he got back to me because the guy my realtors had hired to build the wall and fit the door for our apartment did a terrible job and refused to paint the door before he left. Joe had no reason to email me back with suggestions on how to fix the mess the wall guy had made but he did. I immediately thought I had to write him a review because the wall guy, Ralph, was paid to get the wall done and he took 15 days to finish it, did a bad job at that, lied to us repeatedly about how long it would take, and was very inconsistent in returning our calls. Meanwhile, Joe who stood to gain nothing by helping me, took the time out to look at a photo of the mess and pointed me in the right direction.
