A true bait-and-switch and example of "you get what you pay for." I used them for a very simple divorce, no children, no joint assets. At first they were very helpful. Unfortunately, one of my signatures was left off some initial paperwork; yes, it's my responsibility yet the fee I had paid to We The People was for their assistance and when I went to their office in person and sat down with them to sign the papers, they clearly missed this. OK, people make mistakes...however, there was no follow up on their part and after months and months of no movement, it was my due diligence and contacting the court that discovered this error. I then resigned the paperwork and was told point blank it would be submitted to the court within three business days. Again, when weeks went by and there was no movement, and I personally contacted the court and was told no paperwork had been submitted (which again, I had to do, as by this time We The People became unresponsive, and it took multiple calls and emails to get any answers), I discovered they had outright lied to me and in fact the paperwork had not been submitted and only after I called this to their attention was it, a full 15 business days after I was told it would be done. I was livid, as again, a "simple" divorce was at this point dragging on for over 8 months due to their ineptitude. I asked them to contact the court and again, my requests were ignored. I then asked for a refund of the fee I paid, as they did not own their oversight or do anything to assist or accelerate the correction of their mistake, and it was refused. This place is the best! I unfortunately had to go through a probate with my dads estate but this office was able to take this burden off of my hands. Wow. I'm actually appalled by the way I was treated. I walked in and needed help and they stated off by telling me they close in 30 minutes... So basically they won't work a little harder to help you. Then I asked them to explain something to me that was pretty basic terminology for them and they told me "google it" ... I went to purchase a 'Conservatorship'. On their pricing board, it shows that it costs $599.00. When I went to pay for this service, they now say that it is $699.00. The owner, Petra Castillo said that they change their price over a month ago and she will not honor the price of their pricing list. Bruce helped us through a very stressful time in our lives; I was totally lost and confused about the steps and the whole process; what do you do when a loved one is dying. What documents do I need to file or prepare, even though I did not want to speak to a single soul they were patient and held my hand to be prepared in the end. The OWNER IN THE PICTURE that prepares the casees did not know what she was doing FIRST OF ALL, then was rude when called out on all the mistakes and details she did not inclued on the legal papers, including typos and mispelled words. This was a simple (change of order request) in regurds to a previous custody order, which every detail is crucial in regauds to any legal case filing. She took 7 days to prepare what takes in one full 8 hour work day, I paid 287.00 to begin for her to draw up the papaerwork then I would pay the reminder when Id come in to pick up to sign all the legal documents. She was supposed to have documents done by the end of businesss day, Then today I come in to sign all prepared documents and pay the remainder of the balance which at this point has been 7 working days later, I sat down at down at their table to review documents and found typos, mispelled words, missing information which would take her an additional 30mins to retype when I asked questions about what she filled out I was told she couldnt give legal advise,which she clearly was not aware of what shes talking about, I am obviously frustraed by this point and her soulution was to ask me if i wanted my money back I advised her loundly I wanted her to make all the nessessary corrections since this case was time sensitve meaning a court date was coming up inreguards to this case. So I ask more questions about recpits I need to add to this case, she tells me she needs to leave, its 2pm in the afternoon its been 7 days and this lady obviously has better things to do like take her lunch while her job in INCOMPLETE. Breaking point: I asked for a refund, then I told her exactly what i thought of her work ethic, she calls the poilce beause she feels thretend when their are two other employees (reject Lawyer,Receptionist) in that tiny office witnessing everything and not trying to difuse the situation, then asks the poilce to send a unit and they told her they would wait on the phone with her so she may refund me my money. Conclusion: THESE PEOPLE MAY SABATOGE ANY COURT FILINGS YOU MAY LEGALLY FILE TO A COURT HOUSE AND YOU MAY SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES, WHILE THESE PEOPLE GET ARE GETTING PAID. IM GLAD I VOIDED MY ASSOCIATION AND BUSSINESS WITH THIS OFFICE!! read more
