I needed a LiveScan for a volunteer assignment. I went to another place and my prints were rejected. At LA Fingerprints, Patricia explained that like others my age who've done a lot of keyboarding, I didn't have distinct fingerprints. She told me I needed to bring in the rejection letter. She also hydrated my fingers in a tray of water before taking my prints. We just sent everything off and I am hoping for the best. Patricia is a very unprofessional business owner. I made an appointment and had to wait almost an hour to be seen. I think she might have scheduled someone before hand and has very poor time management. The business itself is located in a shared office space. There is no receptionist it's just Patrica who isn't on top of her job. I wouldn't waste my time here as I read of other reviews who complain about the same thing of waiting a very long time. It's also meter parking so you're paying for her negligence of time management. Her customer service skills are poor to she is very little help. read more

For the past 10 years, I've had to get ink fingerprints for a DOE project every two years. So five ink prints at my original spot only to find out in 2025 that they are no longer in business. I loved that place and always looked forward to Linda rolling each finger across the ink pad on their ink machine. Fast forward to 2025 and I happened to be in West LA and googled for ink fingerprints. Live Scan & LA Fingerprints came up and since I was familiar with the location of the business, I headed there to get them done. I didn't have an appointment and waited some time to get them done. When I was called into the tiny office, I guess I expected to see an ink machine and not the small ink pad that I would sometimes use at the bank to give a thumb print. I didn't even think to ask her what the price would be but in the end, paying $54 PLUS a small fee for paying with my debit card was a bit much! She told me that the other guy in the building charged higher than her but that's neither here nor there. Of course I phoned around afterwards to find that the lowest for one card would be $25 if you had your own card and $20 more for each additional card. Well...I phoned Patricia today out of curiosity just to see what her price would be. She told me $58 and I asked her to justify her outrageous price! She said "that's what they told me to charge." I told her that she was price gouging and that I wouldn't ever use her services again. She agreed and said that I should go to those who offered lower prices. Her rudeness today will never ever make me think twice of ever returning to utilize her business. My advice to everyone...shop around for reasonable prices. Wasn't even sure if Live Scan places were open in April. Thank God fingerprints are considered essential. Street or metered parking. They follow safety guidelines for the Corona virus pandemic. The view of Westwood from their high rise meeting room is stunning. The woman who helped me was courteous and did a great job. In the past I have had to resubmit prints since I have very fine lines causing my prints to get rejected. Terrible service. I called ahead to make an appointment but was told to come in because there was no wait. I came in 4 min later and waited for 20 minutes. Okayyy fine maybe she was with another client? Nope! She's in a tiny one room office with only one entry/exit to the lobby area where I was waiting. No one came out that way before her so I know she wasn't with another client. When she finally comes walking out- she's ON A PHONE CALL! The call sounded personal like she was talking to her friend or family member. She then proceeds to point at my paper to try to communicate with me while on her phone call. As if she's doing me a favor and interrupting her phone call. If that's not infuriating enough, she spoke very dismissively to me about how I needed to fill out the form given to me (BTW it was a check the box section and she insisted on me writing in the category myself. She could have also done this). The fingerprint portion only took 5 min but her inputting information on the computer by typing with one finger at a time took much longer. But really, the upsetting part is her very unprofessional attitude, tone of voice, and who takes personal calls while with a customer?! read more

Patricia was very sincere and helpful! I had to get my ink fingerprints to get a FBI screening clearance but it was very difficult since I have very dry fingers. She did the best she could but the fingerprints were rejected the first time. I called her to see if I could get it done again but she genuinely explained that it will likely get rejected again and even took the time to call the FBI screening office to see if there are any other options for me. After a few months of using creams/lotions to improve my dry fingers, I went back to see her. She was very empathetic about my case and did not charge me for the second fingerprints. The building is on the corner of Santa Monica & Sepulveda on the 17th floor. You can park on the street for about $1/hr. before coming in for my Live Scan, I made an appt online. The waiting area is pretty clean and the views of LA are just beautiful. Anyways, I was promptly seen by Patricia, who was really friendly and personable., and finished my fingerprints within 15 mins or so. Would definitely recommend. read more

I went here during the time businesses were shut down from COVID in early April 2020. The place was extremely clean and sanitary. Hand sanitizer in lobby. The lady who helped me was sweet and gave me rubbing alcohol to make sure I was good to go after the fingerprints were done. Only thing is that they are a bit on the pricer side. Street/metered parking. I was in and out within 30-40 minutes, took a little longer because I didn't have my forms printed out. They were willing to print for me. read more

I called and spoke with Patricia the owner of the business and scheduled an appointment to get my fingerprints done. I called other closer fingerprint businesses but didn't feel comfortable going to them. I am a Criminal Defense Attorney and needed them done this year pursuant to new State Bar rules. I had heard about people having to have them done twice and I couldn't afford to do that so I drove farther than needed. She was professional and patient with me when I had questions since I had not had them done in 10 years for a passport. It was nice too that I got right in at my scheduled appointment time since I had to get back to court. Now I refer her to my clients I represent for all her services. All my clients were very happy with her service so I'll continue to refer this business. I may be more careful than others but I guess I get that from being an attorney.
