What a great shop! I go in practically every day to see what's come in and there are always surprisingly beautiful and unique items to see at very reasonable prices. In the past few years since I've moved to Fort Collins I've gotten several pieces I never would have thought I'd love -- until I saw them. And since I visit the store so frequently I am well aware that Kim, the owner, has a real following, in part because she's a lovely human being and she's often quite funny. Love this place! Whenever I'm in Fort Collins I make it a point to stop by. This time around, I bought two super cute pair of pants, a sweater and two very pretty pins - all for around $150! The clothes curated are not just super cute and in good condition but also very reasonably priced. And the owner is a really nice lady! I cannot recommend this place enough. Fort Collins is not known for vintage stores. Flea markets, yes but not really when it comes to vintage. Usually Fort Collins shoppers want new things...suburban things. WIAS is probably the best vintage store in Fort Collins because of this. There are quite a few other vintage boutiques in town but none of them quite have the verve and panache as this place. Probably the coolest part about going in here is the hats. Wonderful veiled hats and fedoras! WIAS is a consignment store too. I have taken clothes here in the past. Unfortunately they never sold so they got donated. It always baffles me on the decisions that the staff makes at consignment stores. You think the items that you know they will take get rejected and then don't sell on the items they do take. Whatever. It is something I probably will never understand. Making a career and lots of money by using consignment stores said no one ever. read more

Fashion, Vintage, Antique lovers, plan to stay for a while. This store wins for both collection and charm. The accessory selections are amazing. The owner has the knack for the unique and the spectacular. You will find prices from Mrs. Cleaver to Ginger Rogers, and it is designer clothing at it's best. They appear to have a fine men's selection as well. You will not find a place like this anywhere in town. If there is a "Disney World" of vintage clothing, I would imagine that this is the "Disney Land". AWESOME. read more

Stumbled across this really cool vintage store while walking around old Fort Collins. Tons of mens and womens hats and other clothing. Most of it is for sale but there is also a significant amount of costumes for rentals. The owner was super nice and professional. I went last minute shopping for a dress for a 1940s ball and had little hope of finding something because of my unusual body type. Kim, a regular employee, helped me pick out options and we found something great despite the fact that I'm plus-sized. The atmosphere of the store, the music and the vibe were chill, relaxed and welcoming. I had a look around and there is a decent selection of dresses, skirts, blouses, gloves, hats and jewelry. There are suits and shoes for men. Everything is reasonably priced and I came out paying less than I'd expected. A cute place with a few interesting finds. Its pricing is a little steep for a consignment shop. I don't expect Goodwill prices, but simply because something has fallen out of vogue doesn't necessarily mean it's rare, and the pricing on a lot of items here seem a bit optimistic on the consigner's part. read more

could i be more pumped on a vintage hat selection, i think not! i bought an amazing hat from the 20's and a cape from 1890. I LOVE both however there are cheaper places to find vintage hats. I also with they had cuter dresses. I was looking for more of a 50's house wife look! read more

Ok, I'm a guy so can't speak for actually wearing or trying on any of the glorious vintage dresses and such, but speaking as a lover of good, classic design, I love popping in here, as does my wife. WIAS has an incredible selection of fashions from pretty much every era- our favorites being the gorgeous, exquisite dresses from the 40s and 50s with the attention to line, silhouette and often, intricate beadwork. One of the biggest pluses about coming here vs. anywhere else that might offer anything close to the variety of vintage wear, is that the manager, Kim, truly lives, breathes and loves the classical and retro fashion herself. (Her personal presentation is the embodiment of all that.) Just talking about it with her is so fun as you can see her eyes light up discussing various pieces that just came in, perhaps someone's prom dress from 50 years ago that was only ever worn once and yet still so beautifully preserved and presented or some divine plush like Nguyen coat kept in a closet for decades. So, yes, she's often on the phone and busy but if and when she is free she would love discussing what might work for your own high function, fashion or costume needs. Speaking of the latter, I don't think any review has mentioned it recently, but the entire back area is chocker block full of fantastic costume rentals for guys and dolls! They are more in line with Hollywood starlets and mobster wear than horror per se, but there are many incredible threads there that can be rented out for a night. Keep in mind, these aren't cheap (made in China) type mass produced items but often fairly vintage themselves and well made so will cost you more than a catalog purchase but worth it for originality and being able to try on tons of stuff all in one shop.) And, there won't be loud rock music blaring overhead so you can quietly discuss the finer details with your shopping partner in a pleasant atmosphere. My wife and I have purchased a few pieces here and have loved everything. In fact, I used some vintage feathers, buttons, lace and gloves for a costume that won for the very reason of its authenticity to vintage clothing and wares. So, go in, treat yourself to yesteryear and step back in time to another era where glamour and style truly mattered and where you too can feel like you are caught up in the silver screen of some romantic past! read more

I was in famous Historic Downtown in Fort Collins and came across this fabulous, cute, little, vintage consignment / costume rental store. I immediately fell back in time and wanted to dress like a 1920s flapper! The different sections of styles from the early 1900s to 1980s really took me back. The pieces the owner finds are remarkable. Yes, everything is used, but remember its what fashion was IN from the past, can be easily be IN now. I found fabulous day to day dresses, retro gowns, hippy maxi dresses, jazz style cocktail dresses, I found evening wear that would bring 1930s elegance to 2012! It was unbelievable how the accessories were adorned on the walls and shelves. I tried the hats on and definitely turned time and spoke with elegance and sophistication! In all, I ended up buying a fashionable 1940s evening gown and 1960s maxi dress, spent $85 for both. Though clothing ranges from $10-$60 depending on quality. The store is affordable! They also have costume rentals, for those vintage parties or roaring 20s nights! read more

I love vintage clothes so I was very excited to check this place out. However, the prices are completely out of one for the quality. Every item that I looked at was damaged and most were damaged to the point of unrepair (holes, broken zippers, stains). If you're looking for quality vintage, you won't find it here. Nor will you find anything related to "customer service". You'll be lucky if the person working days "hi" to you. read more

I used to love shopping here, because of the lack of vintage stores in FC. I consigned a few times with them. The first time, I was 1 day past my day to pick up my items and the owner wouldn't work with me on it...understandable, the timeframe had been laid out ahead of time and it was my mistake. The next time I took several very nice pieces in, and two did not sell. When I went to pick them up, BOTH ITEMS WERE DAMAGED! The zipper was broken on one, and the other was slightly torn. The owner was not at all apologetic, when the damages were clearly made while in her shop (I even have photographs taken prior to dropping off said items). It would have been a different story if she showed any sort of remorse for them being ruined in her store, but I refuse to give her business anymore after seeing her true colors. read more
