The IMSA event was super well organized--easy parking, clear signage, and friendly staff. Coming from the East Coast, the rolling terrain and elevation changes (hello Corkscrew) were awesome and made the racing extra exciting. The track and facilities were well kept, and the views were great. Definitely a fun, memorable weekend--worth the trip.

Great and fun track days for high decibel events but really sucks when it comes to noise complaints. Nothing you can do but overall a nice track that's really close to the Bay Area that we all can come to enjoy.

So this is my first car race/ Formula 1 car thing. It's pretty cool. I couldn't stop making Ricky Bobby Jokes. Definitely not a lot of diversity, but it's my first one. So whatever. Didn't really have an expectations at all, so I definitely had fun.

Came by for a private even the other day and it was a phenomenal experience. There was an employee prior to entering the facility to sign off on a waiver and parking was right in front of the facility due to our small group. Catering from the venue was decent and catering staff wore masks covering their mouth and nose along with blue gloves for safety. The track itself was clean and in great working condition.

Attended the 2021 Monterey Grand Prix. It was my first visit to the track and it was great to experience the race in person as opposed to TV. We had 3 day tickets for the Flag Room. The Flag Room is a tent located on a hill between turns 4 and 5. A great view entering and leaving turn 4 and entering turn 5. The Flag Room is equipped with inside and outdoor seating. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and refreshments are included. Golf cart shuttles are available to and from any location within the venue. A don't miss location is the corkscrew for some great driving action.

Love this track in General. They have that famous corkscrew for you and 2.4 miles track later, quite fun for learning or to take your cars out to race or just enjoy the track. We attended the AMG Driving Academy with AMG Mercedes Benz. It was an amazing experience. Got to drive the track and got to ride with the professional race instructors, that was the best part! We got to drift and race with once another too. Beside the track, they have a small gift shop with everything WeatherTech Laguna Seca logo on it! There is a Bubba Burger restaurant there but it wasn't open when we were there! So not really much option for food and drink. Luckily, our AMG training class got catering food in for us breakfast and lunch. This track is not too far from Monterey and Carmel, so we did a StayCation before we visit here!

One of the most iconic race venues in the world. Into motor sports? Cars? Trucks? Bikes? Find it all here! Laguna Seca hosts some of the best racers and races every year. They also host several open track days for the average Joe like you and me to go out and put together our best Mario Andretti to Lewis Hamilton performance on the track. Make sure to bring some shade as it gets hot and there isn't a ton of shade to be found.

World famous Laguna Seca with its cork screw at turn 8. Amazing track. There is a large paddock but no gift shop. Be warmed that there is a 90 FB sound limit and the sound station is near turns 6, I forget. Violate if 3 times & you are off the track for the weekend. So do it at the end of your Sunday if you have to. There is food but no seats and nothing is covered & can get windy so be prepared.

Everytime a student driver made even the slightest of mistakes the head guy/owner of SB would yell so loud that his face would turn red. He made my entire experience horrible and I paid $10k! Everything he said and told us to do and not do was lead with intimidation and anger and threats....wasn't encouraging or helpful at all. Seemed like most of the instructors were also scared of him so they didn't encourage us to improve. I asked my instructor about him and he said yeah we are all scared to do something wrong. What a horrible way to run a business! I would've done more f4 classes but not here, EVER! There are much better run race classes. Run from Skip Barber and never look back!!

We started 25 minutes late. The staff seemed like it was their first day there. Skip Barber describes their courses as "lead and follow". Let me describe that for you. The instructor leads and you follow. This is not a bad concept as long as the lead car is capable of the same speed as the student. The "lead" car on the day of my session was a completely stock Toyota Camry. If that sounds bad, it was. Now add 4 students in the "lead" car every session receiving "instruction" while you are driving a car capable of 150 mph and the result is a lap speed of well under 70 MPH. The same lap car was used for all cars that day. Therefore, Formula 4 cars and GT cars were restricted to the same speed behind the lap car. If driving an exceptional car well below it's potential is appealing to you, I highly recommend Skip Barber.

My sight glass shows it is perfectly full with clean oil. Note: i asked them to not do oil change because i do that myself. Dangerous negligence: They claimed to adjust my chain, but my "before and after" photos prove the alignment marks and slack never changed. Worse, they left the backing lock-nuts on BOTH the right and left swingarms completely loose. Loose hardware: Both brake fluid reservoir caps were left loose with noticeable play in them. I had to personally tighten the screws down further myself so they wouldn't leak or vibrate off. Skipped work: I explicitly asked for a throttle and clutch cable adjustment. They didn't even touch them--the play is exactly the same as when I dropped it off. Leaving critical hardware loose on both sides of the axle and completely ignoring requested safety adjustments after a paid inspection is incredibly unsafe. It feels like they will lie to scare you into buying unneeded services and send you out the door on an unsafe bike. Avoid RS Speed Shop at all costs.

Worst experience EVER…read more We have been attending the Monster Jam event every year for the last 8 years (except COVID years obviously because of closure.) Every year the line on Main St. to get to the parking lot has been getting worse. This year was the WORST amount of CHAOS I have ever experienced for an event. We got into the area an HOUR early and still missed the first half hour of the event due to the incompetence of the descriptions below. First of all there was absolutely NO POLICE PRESENCE. No cops directing vehicle or pedestrian traffic. No cones directing vehicles towards the parking lot. Nothing. So there were tons of cars blocking all lanes cutting in front of each other. Car horns going off on each other. Almost seen a few fist fights. It was ridiculous. Second. There were NO signs letting vehicles know that the parking lot was CASH ONLY. I can't even imagine all of the cars that waited for over an hour in a two block radius to get into the even and not having cash. And having to turn back out of the parking lot. Third. The lines for spectators to get into the event were a 1/4 mile long. And at times wasn't moving at all. We stood in line for 45 minutes with tickets in hand. By the time we got to the front the ticket takers were already waving people inside because even they had enough of the nonsense. Once we got inside the event was like any other. Great fun. Monster Jam as a brand had NOTHING to do with all of the madness above. It was the Salinas Sports Complex and the organizers that get the blame. I love going to this event and look forward to it every year. IMHO it is the best arena near the Bay Area for this event. But I don't think I will go next year. And I think many others will feel the same way. My kids didn't like all the madness. The angry parents swearing at each other. The honking. The stress. Salinas Sports Comlex. Get your ISHT together. Notify the Police and have them do their job to help with your event. Or hire some competent people to get vehicle and pedestrian traffic into your event more efficiently. I did take tons of video from the event. If you are interested go to iDrive2Fast.com . Karl Sorry for the double bad review. I mean this place deserves it. Unlimited rides wristbands for all, plus catered lunch at the Sun Room at The [Cocoanut] Grove venue. I haven't been to the Boardwalk in maybe 20 years, but did go a bunch when I was little. It's their Centennial year too, 100 years! Love the carnival style games, classic arcade, rides, caricature artists, and of course, the main beach. I specifically sought out the Giant Dipper wooden Rollercoaster, the original Looff Carousel with the brass ring catching game, and the sky gondola this trip. Since food was provided at the Grove I passed on the funnel cakes, beignets, Dippin' Dots, pretzels and the like. They did have a commemorative reusable/refillable drink cup with a bendy straw though. The MyFunMoment selfie stations weren't working that day though. They said it was one of the scariest rides they've ever been on and felt like they were almost coming out of their seats because the lap bar was the only restraint. As a parent, that was really unsettling to hear. I was surprised there wasn't an over-the-shoulder restraint or seat belt, which would have made us feel much safer. I know many people love this historic coaster, but based on my kids' experience, it's just not a ride we'll be doing again.

Going on a week day is less crowded however you might see kids attending summer camps. We went on Monday, July 6th and there was hardly any lines everywhere. Maybe it was because people were still vacationing for the July 4th weekend. The most we waited was 5 minutes. Sometimes they are not very efficient when letting on new riders such as the ferris wheel. We were able to get on all the rides and even repeated some rides because there was no line. You might have to wait for the train ride since it circles around. There's another pick up / drop off point halfway as well in case you want to get off, do something and get back on later. The paddle boat ride (ducks and swans) was fun - they tell you to paddle for 5 minutes then you need to paddle back. Every rider must wear a life jacket for safety reasons. The handle bar to control left or right turn was a little tricky but you get used to it. Yes - the food prices are high - which I was not surprised. I had a craving for a funnel cake which costs after taxes $17+ which shocked my hubby. The more crowded it is, the longer you'll need to wait in line and the fewer rides you'll be able to get on - so I suggest getting there when they open to maximize your time since they close at 5 or 6pm. We focused on the rides and didn't tackle the kids water park.

Food: overpriced, mediocre Garlic bread + chicken for $10,…read moretiny amount. Rides: horridly managed. Tons broken. Some are fun and quick. Some rides have ridiculously long lines that are poorly managed (like you're the 10th family in line but can't seem to get to the front after an hr in line... why??) The ferris wheel for example looks like a short line (we prob had 8 families ahead of us) but soo many seats left empty because they were somehow BROKEN. I have no idea why they let on like 4 people at a time when it can fit like 40 people at once (10 carriages fitting up to 4 people each). Took us 50min from entering line to finishing ride. We wanted to get out of the line so many times but my toddler wanted to ride it. The lake boat paddle ride seems so inefficient... took over 1hr in line and we gave up. The hot air balloon ride was horrid we had to get out of line bc it took forever to start the ride each time, they just let fast track people on, and it didn't fit that many people each time. It fits up to 4 but most balloons only had 1-2 people riding- they should encourage 2 families sharing a balloon. Water: looked fun but we didn't have the water play items and didn't want to spend another $50 on towels and such. Honestly think this is probably the only worthwhile area of the park but it's only open during the summer. (But water parks are NOT worth $65pp + $25 parking) Nature center was actually nice and air conditioned but apparently they're downsizing it permanently after October. The train broke. South county backroads (car buggy ride) was broken. The monorail was broken the whole day. How are they charging $65 per person? Guess we're not getting the membership option. Parking is $25 .... that's ridiculous. Overall extremely disappointed with this place, found it overpriced, too many rides broken, and will not be coming back.
