The sales person amusingly told me I'd no longer need the thermal drapes because *their glass would not only block radiant heat loss in cold weather but also the harsh, south-facing sun in summer. I mean. It's not magic glass. I wisely rehung the drapes. :) They sent technicians out to accurately measure my door and about a month later - at the end of December when it was -20 degrees - the installers erected a sealed plastic tent in my kitchen, ripped out the old door and installed the new one in about two hours. A week later the stainer came out, mixed stain to match my woodwork, and finished the door. It's beautiful. I only ding one star because I had to make multiple calls to find out when the install was going to happen, then was surprised to hear, "Oh, it's tomorrow!" A little advance notice would have been nice.

When installation day came they installed a door with a crack and then failed to order a window. This meant I had a gaping hole in what would be my back door throughout winter. It was covered by plywood meaning I only had my front door for nearly 2 months the. Once the door was properly installed they failed to install a keyed-lock. Now I have access to 2 exits but could not enter through my back door since the only way to lock it was from the inside. The lock took another 3 months and this meant I went without a functioning back door for nearly 6 months. Then once installed they put in the wrong trim meaning another rescheduled date which also meant another day I had to either take off work or beg my boss to work from home. Andersen agreed to compensate me $1500 for the inconvenience which is laughable. I was told I would receive this within 2 weeks on April 23rd. Today, when I didn't receive it I contacted Andersen and they said they hadn't processed it until May 5th and it would be another 2-4 weeks to receive the check. I regret going with Andersen. They have been difficult from start to finish. For a nearly $60,000 contract, $1500 compensation does not reflect the inconvenience they have caused. Do NOT go with Andersen Windows.

No the labor to fix this issue. They gave us a one time fix as we were at a year of purchase. But advised next time there will be a labor charge. Be cautious of 'lifetime' warranties. Pricing was super reasonable for our Bow window, bay window & 2 basement windows. Also the pull the permits but expect the customer to handle the close out final inspection of the permit-which is kinda not cool.

We were able to lock in a great price (we compared other companies before we made our final decision so we knew we were getting a good deal), a great window, and overall we had a good experience working with the staff. Sales was sales but not pushy or rude, our guy listened to what we wanted and made it work out. I was bit nervous with the whole scheduling out the windows process since it seemed a bit relaxed compared to working with other contractors in the past but we had no issues when it came time for day of install. The installers were very friendly and made sure to get the project done right the first time around, taking extra time and care to make sure it was to our satisfaction before they left for the day. We love our new windows and it is nice to be able to finally fully open them again and let in the cool summer breezes we have been missing because of our old, defunct windows.

So when we needed new roofing, siding, gutters, gutter covers, facia and soffits I obtained several quotes. Erik didn't hesitate to come out to Farmington and quote the project. We had some "slick" salespeople and we had a guy that wouldn't give me a quote (he really didn't like women was my opinion) and would only deal with the insurance company. Erik was professional, honest and not "slick." The price was fair. My test is always the "warm and fuzzies." After a few meetings with Erik, he had my business. Then came the problems. Every color combo for all of the above items had items out of stock, discontinued or something. Erik made a lot of phone calls and several vendor trips. I have no idea how many combos we went through - probably 15 or so. Finally we found a combo that could be put together. YEAH!!!! Erik was patient through all of the "I hate neutrals" moments and several trips of holding colors against the house in different light. Roof install went well and then we had to wait 2 weeks for the siding. The siding installation was completed and they came back and fixed a couple of small items and we were done before Thanksgiving. Erik was around almost daily and even picked up extra FOD on his own. They installed our new lights and Ring cams too. Erik was easily reachable and kept on top of the project and kept me up to date. Very impressed. They were within $7 of the original quote (I think permit fees changed). Very happy and thankful that I selected Erik and Roofs R Us.
