We came back this year and too are surprise, it was an awful experience. We bought our tickets for an R- rated movie and didn't expect much after since we are all 17+. My cousin is very clearly 21+ and forgot there ID at home, not expecting anything from it. As soon as they asked us for our tickets they demanded very rudely that we all show them our IDs. I completely respect a movie theaters right to ID, but the way they spoke to us all was VERY shocking. Isla was extremely rude. I don't like to complain about things because I understand working in customer service, I do myself. but there is absolutely NO reason to be that rude to people, especially when they aren't being rude to you. I'm hoping we just caught them on a bad day because we are not from here, but I am very disappointed, and frankly shocked. Will not be back.

It has small town charm and great local restaurants, bars and places that all the tourists and seasonal folks enjoy. It doesn't need a larger theater, as it wouldn't be sustainable outside of weekends and school vacation weeks. Which is also the reason the theater is closed some nights. Please stop feeling so entitled to grander amenities in a small town and trying to make everything like you have "back home". I am SO grateful that it is here in town; I make it a point to see at least one movie every time I'm here. They are getting first run movies, which is awesome. The staff has always been polite and professional. I don't do the refreshment stand but I'm glad it's not one of those megaplex places with full blown pizza ovens and burger grills that deliver to your seat. I don't want to watch a movie next to someone eating a hotdog. Let's be grateful for what we do have: a clean, local cinema in a great town. Please support it .

The theater section was relatively clean, but the seats are terribly small and not particularly comfortable. They were reminiscent of a 1980's (or maybe earlier) cinema. The popcorn was good and well-salted, but it was packaged before we arrived leaving me wondering how fresh it might be. The bathroom was also out of paper towels. Not a great first experience.

When entering the first of the 2 theaters I went into I was excited to see very welcoming seats, cushiony, that recline a little even. Then I looked to my right so see a shorter person that was unable to even see over the seat in front of them without sitting on their feet. But this was not too big of a concern, as they had 8 minutes after the movie was supposed to start to figure out their seating position, and that was just when the movie previews started. The modern surround sound was a great addition to the previous cinema in this location, but the same small screens and lack of even a ceiling fan really detract from the viewers comfort. The second theater had the same seats as the first but were actually put in in a stadium seating fashion, making the screen visible which was much appreciated. An important note is that I have yet to see their main theater, as they had a highly anticipated film in a small theater, while a small animated film was shown in the large one, with half the audience size. The real killer for me was the lack of a refill. I wanted, very much, to enjoy this movie going experience as its the only theater in the area. This place is great for maybe a matinee where you bring your own snacks, and you're tall, and like stale air. If not I suggest putting in the extra gas money and going somewhere more people friendly.
