The Lincoln - North Woodstock community has a year round population of around 3,000 people. It is also a vacation destination for many because of it's access to great skiing and hiking. It has small town charm and great local restaurants, bars and places that all the tourists and seasonal folks enjoy. It doesn't need a larger theater, as it wouldn't be sustainable outside of weekends and school vacation weeks. Which is also the reason the theater is closed some nights. Please stop feeling so entitled to grander amenities in a small town and trying to make everything like you have "back home". I am SO grateful that it is here in town; I make it a point to see at least one movie every time I'm here. They are getting first run movies, which is awesome. The staff has always been polite and professional. I don't do the refreshment stand but I'm glad it's not one of those megaplex places with full blown pizza ovens and burger grills that deliver to your seat. I don't want to watch a movie next to someone eating a hotdog. Let's be grateful for what we do have: a clean, local cinema in a great town. Please support it . read more

Perhaps it's because it is a local theater in a small town, but this theater did not offer my typical movie viewing experience. The theater section was relatively clean, but the seats are terribly small and not particularly comfortable. They were reminiscent of a 1980's (or maybe earlier) cinema. The popcorn was good and well-salted, but it was packaged before we arrived leaving me wondering how fresh it might be. The bathroom was also out of paper towels. First want to state that this has NOTHING to do with the employees as we had some trouble with our showtime and they were so accommodating , but the theatre was absolutely disgusting. Theatre #1 was the one we were in and we couldn't sit in the seats we wanted because it smelt so bad and the seats were so disgustingly dirty. I would reccommend going ANYWHERE else. I disagree with prior reviews about this movie theater. My husband and I saw a movie there last Wednesday, Oct 16, we found the theater clean, bright, and spacious. The movie screen had no flaws or trouble with projection of the movie. Snacks were pricy but popcorn was tasty, crisp and buttery. Restroom was clean, it looked modern. The gentleman who served us was friendly and helpful. We certainly will return in the near future. I would recommend this theater to anyone who enjoys seeing movies on the big screen. read more

Don't waste your time and surcharge fees to buy advanced tickets. You may arrive and find others occupying your seats who won't move and staff unwilling to do anything more than refund your base ticket price, leaving you frustrated and out both your time and money without even as much as an apology. Good help really is hard to find. read more

awful, the theaters is always dirty, most of the time we go the movie they play is has been wrong and when we ask they have to check again. customer service isn't that great. prices are high and they should have specials for locals considering there's only one theater in town. we don't go anymore my kids don't like that we do go but I'd rather do movie night at comfort of the house. read more

Great little place. Not top of the line as stated in other reviews. Bathrooms have been re done (doors lock now). If you are looking for luxury you are in the wrong spot. If you are looking for a last minute idea this is your spot. A/C and heat have always worked. Concession is the same as any other movie theater. Always showing first run movies. We try to visit here at least once with the kids when ever we are in town. PS: not sure why the woman posted such a poor review because she wasn't allowed to bring in large bags into a movie theater. Of course they don't allow you to bring camera equipment into the movie theater as piracy is illegal. Leave it where you are staying or in the trunk of car. read more

If you're in Lincoln and expecting a big movie theater with modern amenities, you have missed the point of coming to Lincoln NH. The wife and I go here at least once a week in the summer and it is very much a step back in time. The seats are old and cramped, the screens are not in the best shape, and the sound is not modern. On the upside, they do a great job of rotating in the best movies of the summer and oscar season even though they only have 4 screens. It's situated perfectly next to a lot of the best parts of downtown, and the people that run it are very nice. If you came to Lincoln specifically to see a movie, you're going to hate this place. If you needed something to do on a rainy day in the summer or whatever constitutes a bad skiing day, Barn Zs will be open, it just won't be the modern cinemaplex. Pro Tip: There aren't many previews for any film, on any showing date at Bran Zs. Without assigned seating, you may want to show up early to not have a nose bleed seat on busier days. read more

The ticket taker/concession stand worker was grouchy, unfriendly and downright rude to us. Terrible will not be back.

We were passing through town and noticed this movie theater so we decided to catch a flick. My husband and I both work on the road, so we carry around our work computers and camera equipment with us. We both entered the theater with our work backpacks. After purchasing my ticket, the attendant informed me that I could not enter with my work backpack (containing my computer and camera gear). I explained that she had seen me come in with it and mentioned nothing before I purchased my ticket, only after, and that the reason we both came in with our bags was because they contained valuables that we did not want to leave in our vehicle. She offered to take our bags and hold them behind the concession counter. My husband and I refused explaining it had all our valuables. She said she would put them in the office, but this honestly was still not acceptable and felt highly inappropriate for a movie theater. We refused this as well as it did not sit well with us to entrust her with all our valuable electronics and it felt as if we had been tricked into buying tickets. There was no visible posting of this policy on the concession counter where we were directed to purchase tickets and she made no mention of it before swiping our credit card. I even showed her the inside of my bag containing my work electronics to alleviate any doubt she may have. She refused and we said that we would not be able to stay. Afterward, the female attendant made no attempt to refund my ticket. Perhaps they impose this "no bag" policy to prevent folks from bringing in outside food, as I cannot see any other rational reason, but the rule is silly, unrealistic, and feels incredibly invasive. Movie theaters are supposed to feel like a retreat and relaxing way to spend some leisure time, not like hoping you make it through security, unviolated, at the airport. Needless to say, we never saw anything but the concession stand, but we clearly do not recommend this place. It feels desperate, unfriendly, and not at all a worthy or pleasant place to spend your money or free time. read more

Hi, as a local, this is about the best you can expect from a movie theater I doubt it will ever have stadium seats and conveniences in the southern part of the state. So, with that being said, it is the best 'we got'. . read more

A simple, yet never updated theater. Same price as anywhere, same condiments. Nothing flashy. Clean. Not stadium seating but not old, ripped chairs either. Chairs did not have cup folders which was inconvenient. No heat in our theater in January. read more

It is a small theater in a small town and serves its purpose well. I don't expect it to be like the theaters in the city. The seating is regular and comfortable. The theater is clean and the picture quality is digital and the sound is good. The staff is friendly. The movies are current. I enjoy going there. read more
