Do not use Energy Exteriors NW for window installs! We had a horrible experience with them. We were…read moreout of town when they installed our windows and they installed windows, one with a hole in it and another with a large defect in the middle. The defective window is our large front window and it was very noticeable when looking at our house. We have video of proof of them finding the hole and examining it shortly after install, the contractor told his boss about the hole in the window and they said nothing to us about it. They tried to get us to sign off on the project without telling us about the hole, but luckily we noticed it and brought it to their attention at which point they informed us they already knew about the hole. Horrible business practice. They took no responsibility for installing a window with a hole and another with a large defect, but made us go through the window manufactures warranty just days after they installed the faulty windows. We then had to wait a month for the manufacture to come throw up a new pain on the two windows in 10 minutes and leave. They did not restore the argon gas in the windows which improves energy efficiency and raises the temperature to prevent condensation and moisture build up. Within two days, the two replaced windows were completely covered in condensation, none of the other windows had condensation and they are claiming this is normal. When their sales person came to the house we showed him all the upstairs windows and asked him to add to the quote and scope of work the replacement of all ten of the upstairs window sills, he said no problem, will be easy. When they came to do the project they replaced 10 of the 12 downstairs window sills instead of the upstairs window sills and told us because we were not there for the critical measurement this mistake was our fault. They originally said for a large additional fee, much more expensive than we were originally told they would come back in 2 months and replace the upstairs window sills and later said they would not finish the work even though they were paid for the entire job. We chose to go with them only because they could get the install done the soonest, big mistake on our part. If we could do it again we would go with Window World, their presentation was much more thorough and informative. We spent over $34k for 25 windows to be replaced and window sills to be redone and have an incomplete project, which they are refusing to finish or take ownership for the mistakes. They told the finance company the job was complete while we were still out of town even knowing there was a hole in one of the windows. To end it all they are threatening to sue us if we leave them bad reviews. What a nightmare, save yourself the hassle and disaster and DO NO go with Energy Exteriors NW!

His bid was competitive, and he was extremely detail-oriented. Since we wanted to order our own windows from Dunn Lumber, we had multiple conversations to ensure the measurements were exactly right. They may be the ONLY contractors we've ever worked with who finished within the timeline that they laid out. If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone.
