I don't usually do reviews of anything but restaurants or food but the service I received from Exteriors West left me wanting to tell the world so here it goes. If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone. read more

I have to just say that Jamie, is not a friendly sales person. Wanted to get a quote for awning , but he seems to not be able to read what I had sent and also I sent all the info to an email address that he could not find. Then it was push back for me to do it his way and could not even provide me another email address when I had sent all the info to the email address shown on there web site. So his comment was, guess we are not getting off on the right foot. Yep he was right. Not going to start a process with someone who is not really wanting my business and does not seem to want to to make it easy for both of us. So in these times I will find someone who does want my business. read more

Can't say enough about how impressed we are with this company! We had a patio cover installed a few years ago on our old home that was quite the challenge. After a perfect installation it was evident that our crooked roof line was causing rain water to splatter underneath the cover and onto our patio. Wasn't a big deal to me but they are perfectionists and insisted on making it right, years later! And..... They wouldn't charge me for their time to "repair" the problem, although I insisted to pay them for their time and problem solving skills! HEADS UP. They could be great; BUT I don't know. Stars are arbitrary in this case. There seems to be no other way to advise Yelp of this; so I am putting it in a review. This company has Not been owned by the people named in the reviews since 2018. At least their license was not renewed after that. The company was acquired by Karben Ventures with a Business name of Evergreen House. I checked superficially. They are legally registered in WA with L&I, etc. + I found nothing that jumped out as negative. I found no reviews at all. It looks like they were previously registered in Oregon. read more

WOW!! I can't say enough good things about the experience we had with Dan and Exterior West. We have always wanted a covered back deck and couldn't be happier with the end result! Dan and his son were prompt, professional, great communicators and just all-round nice people. We had a little problem with rain splashing in, and Dan came over immediately and fixed the problem. My second review on yelp as its the second time I've used Yelp. So far so good. Its been a couple of weeks since this job was done and we're loving the cover. We used Dan (Exteriors West) to add a patio cover on the back of our house. We couldn't be more happy with this decision and the patio cover is exactly what we wanted. Dan's service was beyond what you will receive anywhere else and that's what makes it worth calling him. Dan came out to our house and explained the entire patio cover system to us. He never up sold us on product that we didn't want or need. He spent extra time making sure that my wife knew exactly what she was getting and why one roof material was more expensive than the other or the benefit of one over the other. We had Dan install a 14' x 24' cover which took him a day and part of the next morning. He probably would have finished in one day if we had left him alone to do the work. Dan wiped down the entire structure, then touched up the paint anywhere there was a knick in it. He cleaned up and even moved all of our patio furniture back under the cover too. It was left as if he was never there. If you're looking for a cover to be put up, I would highly recommend Dan as the guy to do it. He always took the time to go over the kinds of covers that he offers and was very patient with me as we discussed the details of what I wanted and answered all my questions. He came over at 8:00, worked all day until done at 6:00 and did a fantastic job. He cleaned up when he was through and my porch was cleaner than before he came over. In March this year, Dan installed a cover over a deck in our backyard. We are very happy with the product and craftsmanship. Dan is very professional and easy to work with. He made sure all my questions were answered during the whole process. He even accommodated our request of raising the cover a foot higher at the last minute just before the installation (though I don't recommend this).
