The frame and woodwork on these chairs was in very good condition, but the upholstery was a tapestry look that was worn and had tears. I wanted these chairs to be renewed but without destroying their late 1800s character. I opted for a green velvet. I was confident that Mary would take good care of these chairs when she saw them and got excited about the restoration. These chairs turned out beautiful - Mary restored the springs, batting and straps to preserve the firm but comfortable seating. The velvet and piping work are beautiful. This was our first engagement with Mary and we could not be more pleased. We have other pieces that we will be bringing to Mary for restoration.

Lisa is very skilled and knowledgable as she offered to make arm covers with the new upholstery. However, through research and trying new sofas that offer higher seating, I decided it would be best to go with an option where I would sit higher, making it easier to stand back up after sitting for a while - that's not as easy as it used to be at my age now. I walked in with a few pictures and rough measurements, found a remnant that was perfect and was given an initial estimate of less than half what I'd been quoted at another store. Jake sent me an invoice an hour later with the final price and a turnaround time of only two weeks. Ten days later my furniture was delivered and it is better than when it was new! The workmanship is amazing, the exposed wood legs look fabulous, and it feels wonderful. Trust is my forever go to place now when I need something reupholstered!

They were extremely responsive and helpful via email, and arranged to pick up the chairs from my house at a convenient time. The next day, they sent me an invoice and promptly answered my questions and took my payment information over the phone. About a week later, they dropped off the cushions and re-installed them into the chairs and they look and feel amazing. They were also very up-front about the costs and explained all of the options very thoroughly.
