He took the sofa apart, and brought it up the elevator in pieces and reassembled it inside our apartment looking better than factory new! Mary did an unbelievable job restoring two antique arm chairs that I inherited when my grandmother…read morepassed away. The frame and woodwork on these chairs was in very good condition, but the upholstery was a tapestry look that was worn and had tears. I wanted these chairs to be renewed but without destroying their late 1800s character. I opted for a green velvet. I was confident that Mary would take good care of these chairs when she saw them and got excited about the restoration. These chairs turned out beautiful - Mary restored the springs, batting and straps to preserve the firm but comfortable seating. The velvet and piping work are beautiful. This was our first engagement with Mary and we could not be more pleased. We have other pieces that we will be bringing to Mary for restoration.
