Mark has twice fixed a laptop I thought might be dead forever. Once the hard drive died and he saved the data and upgraded the storage space. He was quick and so much cheaper than I expected. It's hard to write this review because Mark is a nice guy BUT after much thought found it only fair to warn others. He was referred to me by Jerry's Computers so I thought it was safe but I feel ripped off. Mark came to my house. He spent three hours chatting me up. I am a chatty person by nature but I was starting to feel like he was keeping me going as long as he could to run up the bill. He spent an hour trying to explain what Exchange was and that I needed it. He talked in circles. Then admitted he didn't really know as he didn't use it himself. It took GoDaddy one sentence to explain it to me. I'm still not sure he actually did anything. He did not charge me the travel fee and took off an hour but I still paid $185 for ??? He made the comment about "it's not what you do but how people remember how you made them feel". I was feeling like I was being taken but didn't have the guts to stand up to him when he was here. Who wants confrontation? He made the comment three times "I'd rather be helping retirees so I can get in and out quickly and get paid. I don't really like to work with businesses." I hired him to setup my business! He sounded like he'd rather just make a quick buck than to take on something that required thought, all while making another comment about how no one wanted to pay him for his certification skills. First thing he did was call tech support to fix my Act! issue. We sat on hold for a long time that's why he said he didn't charge me for the first hour. I could call tech support myself! and he bragged about how he'd been supporting Act! since it was DOS based. He uninstalled and reinstalled it. I could have done that. He was supposed to set up my Outlook to talk to my Gmail and DoDaddy accounts. It was already set up to talk to Gmail and he referred me to GoDaddy for support on how to get that part to work. He was supposed to get my Outlook to interact with Act! and help me set up Act! He may or may not have done something to get them to interact but as I understand it he simply advised me to get Outlook up before running Act! He did no customization of Act! and told me I could Group Companies which is not true. How did he not know this with so much Act! support under his belt? Before writing this review I called him and explained how I felt. I took on some blame as I am starting a business and was so overwhelmed at the time he was here I could barely comprehend what he was or was not doing. I also felt overwhelmed because I felt like he wasn't doing anything but knew I'd have to pay him. The invoice reads "setting up" software. However; he did not set anything up. I was still at a total loss when he left. Over the phone I advised him the invoice stated he set up my software but we didn't do that...what did we do? He said he usually takes notes but didn't this time and therefore has no idea what we did except he remembers telling me to load up Outlook before Act! Ugh. I did not feel any better after that conversation. so here I am. read more

I retired from Microsoft in 2010 and know my way around a Windows computer. However, a while back we were hit with a fake of the virus that encrypts the hard drive and holds your data for ransom. I was in over my retired head. Called Mark and he came right over. He cleaned up the problem and made recommendations on new antivirus, daily backup, etc. etc. I followed his recommendations and have had no further problems. I have been using Weber's Computer Services for my business for about three years now. I have used several other IT people throughout the years, and Mark Weber is far and away the best. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and charges a very competitive rate. I love being able to pick up the phone and call him when I have an issue and know that he'll either answer or get right back to me. If it's something he can walk me through over the phone, he's always been more than happy to do that without billing me. If it's something he needs to come take a look at it, more often than not, he's able to come out that same day. On Monday afternoon this week, I told him that my laptop was running really slowly, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. He picked it up at the end of business day on Tuesday and had it back to me first thing Wednesday morning, and it was running great.
