We were to choose from: Refinishing existing 1979 scratched and water damaged cupboards, replacing doors with painted cupboards, replacing doors with stained cupboards, and replacing boxes with stained wood of our choice. We chose to refinish our existing cupboards as we enjoy our layout, the doors are solid wood, and it was a great value. Old Kettle Road Wood Working went the extra mile to do an excellent job of refinishing with a darker stain, adding veneer to cabinet ends, building counter top supports, and adding trim to finish the job beautifully . They also refinished a room-dividing self and my cutting boards, rebuilt three drawers and replaced the base of the cupboard under the sink. I can't thank them enough for listening to what we wanted and carrying it out so excellently. I look forward to working with Christo again. Bob and Corey came out and Corey was very patient with me while I learned how to clean the stove. However, when we got up this morning, the stove would not work at all. After waiting until 10:00 AM to call them, I was told there is no one to come out until Monday. We have never had such poor customer service in an area before moving up here. The people are nice but the service is what customers rely on when doing business. After cooler heads prevailed the problem was solved and they provided excellent service. I happened to notice a couple of earlier comments about refusing service based on beliefs, and feel inclined to state that while I wasn't there, and do not know either the business owners or the reviewers in any intimate/personal way, never in the many times we've been there, ever come to learn the politics or personal beliefs of anyone at the counter, or the owner, not have they come to know mine. I cannot, in that case, fathom how anyone's personal beliefs came into play during a routine business transaction. I'll continue to be a repeat customer.

He and Luke had quite the showdown in the office. He wanted to make good on HIS estimate and would be out in two days. Upon arriving at my house he informed me that Luke had been fired and that they were doing an in-house investigation on him to see if he had been doing this for awhile. The company also discovered that Luke is the brother of the owner of a local competing chimney sweep business and that Luke might've been trying to way over-bid jobs so that people like me would go with his brothers company. Tim completed my job at a cost that was way below his original estimate. I appreciate people like Tim who want to take the time to make things right when there's an obvious wrong. Tim said that Ron (owner) was in agreement of his "fix the problem" attitude and this reflects greatly on the integrity of this company! I will NOW continue to use the services of this company and I hope that Tim gets a big fat raise for this! Tim definitely has a servant's heart and got $20 for his pocket from me for his trouble.
