The owner, Dr. P I believe, is one of the rudest, most impatient, nasty people in a vet clinic we have ever encountered, ANYWHERE! Love this vet. I came back to Rochester during COVID after living in LA for many years. One of my cats had been battling cancer for over 4 years. I took my cat to Dr P. and she and the staff were super kind. My was on the tail end of the disease, and she consulted with my cancer vet in LA and they determined that he was near the end. Dr P made his comfort a priority. Dr P was helpful with meds (that some previous vets wouldn't let me administer at home). A few months later, it was time for him to go and they allowed me to be there with him during the height of COVID. Dr P and her staff even send me a card afterwards. I have since brought my other two cats to Dr P and if I weren't leaving Rochester, she'd continue to be my go-to vet. If this were a movie review, Dr P would get three thumbs up. read more

Been a patient since we adopted our dog and never had any issues until TODAY. Today, I call with my dog having an issue (that they have seen him before same day urgently ZERO ISSUES) and I am told that they are unable to see him until next week. It was a simple anal gland needing to be excreted (which they have done same day before - one time with hours notice right before they closed). His behind was bleeding because he is so uncomfortable and keeps rubbing his behind on the floor. He smells and kids are freaking out. Dog won't let me near him to look at it. They tell me basically "too bad"...tell me to call Arc urgent care across town. Call Arc urgent care, no one is picking up, leave two voicemails. Dog is whimpering and unhappy and bleeding, call them back BEGGING for SOMEONE to take 5 minutes to excrete the gland as I don't know how to do it myself. I am put on hold forever and secretary comes back and says the head technician says they don't have time and don't know what to tell me. THEY PLANNED ON LEAVING A DOG IN PAIN WITH A SIMPLE PROBLEM THEY USED TO TREAT SAME DAY FOR A WEEK! When I asked to speak to the owner, she HUNG UP ON ME! The LACK OF CARE for a dog that is in pain and has something simple they could have resolved in 5 minutes is disgusting. If pediatricians or internal medicine doctors did this to humans, they would have major problems. THIS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY VET VISIT - THIS IS BASIC CARE THAT WOULD HAVE PUT THEM OUT FIVE MINUTES TO RESOLVE. I was able to call a neighboring vets office (who's never seen my dog before) basically begging for them to possibly help us at 1:30pm and they got me in at 2:20pm. Had my dog back in the car by 2:35pm. Said the gland was super full and they were completely DISGUSTED and APPALLED Webster Veterinary Clinic would suggest this dog wait a week or go to an emergency vet and take away from other animals with true emergencies. This wasn't an emergency needing a few hundred dollar visit. It is worth noting that after I went through the headache of finding a new vet ASAP to give my dog the attention they deserved, I got a call from the office manager at Webster Veterinary Clinic making 100 excuses as to why they couldn't see my dog and basically speaking down to me. Some of the excuses included: they were overbooked, didn't have enough staff, had lots of other animals needing care, etc. She, like her colleague, again suggested I go to emergency. Tried comparing me (a human) bleeding to the dog bleeding. The dog wasn't bleeding as it severed its leg off - it was bleeding because it's butt was irritated from the discomfort of the anal gland. This would be like an adult going to the Emergency Room for a Hemorrhoid or a scraped knee! ZERO COMMON SENSE. I plan on making it my mission to convert everyone who I referred to Webster Veterinary Clinic (10+ families) AND SOME away from this clinic as they don't care about pets well being...Their office staff are lazy, rude, and quite frankly NEGLIGENT of their furry patients. Kiss myself and at least a dozen families of pets goodbye, if not more in the community. Furthermore, if you are an existing patient reading this - forget if you need them in times of trouble - they don't have time for you any longer! Things have clearly changed and not for the better. I suggest you start questioning the care your pet will get if you are in a pinch and need same day or next day care. Based on my conversation today -- it just won't happen. You will be frantically calling around town looking for an urgent care or another vet like I had to. I also suggested to the office manager they send out letters to their practice letting them know their new standard of care is either go to emergency or wait a week for even the most basic things. Their overbooking issues, not enough staffing, etc. needs to be known to their patients so people can decide if they want to risk their pets health if unable to be seen. read more

Outstanding service. I would give well beyond 5 stars if I could. Every one of the staff members I've met has been incredible. Out of all the vets I've been to, which is a lot, this is by far the best and I've only had 2 visits. I also work in the animal field and I couldn't imagine taking my dog anywhere else at this point. Being in the military and getting sent away on short notice, the staff members and Dr. Lewis have been EXTREMELY accommodating to my schedule which is something I never even expected out of a vet prior to visiting Webster Vet Clinic. She wanted to make sure my high energy hunting puppy (a little hard to handle at times) was well taken care of prior to my leaving and even remembered my current circumstances. Everyone has been great with communication, very thorough explanations, and very well organized. Once I come back from my military obligations and be living an hour away but will still be commuting to this vet because of how impressive this practice is. All of my customers I will be highly recommending this practice to. Personally, I would pay whatever need be, but they are also the most cost efficient practice I have been to, which is even more of a plus. Overall, I appreciate more than I can say to all of the staff here. Thank you so very much for how compassionate and understanding you are. read more

We got our dog in Emma in 2015 from Lollypop Farm. She was from a puppy mill, and a breeder prior to ending up at Lollypop farm and had a very bad surgery that went wrong before we adopted her. We were welcomed at Webster Veterinary Clinic with open arms at our first appointment. Emma spent most of the first 4 to 6 months in and out of the vet's office. After what seemed to be a long time we found out Emma was going to need another surgery because she was extremely sick from the previous surgery. Dr. Gino Sementa performed surgery on Emma when it seemed all was lost and we were going to lose her, he performed a miracle during that surgery and saved her life. We are truly grateful to everyone at Webster Veterinary Clinic. Everyone and Webster Veterinary Clinic are always so friendly, and helpful and compassionate. Having a pet is like having a child because you consider them as part of your family and at each visit, I always feel so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to care for Emma. My dog needed an urgent appointment and they were able to fit her in on a cancellation slot ( I used to go another vet in Webster but main vet left and then I realized how expensive they were.) Both vets really love what they do and vet techs. as well. $$ is fair and they are up to date on current medical guidelines, immunizations, and do not over charge you. After nearly a year of seeking an answer for our dog's pain at our regular vet, we turned to Webster Vet Clinic. Without an appointment, we showed up with our Shih Tzu, in extreme pain, and we were warmly welcomed. Just one X-Ray, and the great Dr. Lewis discovered our Zippy had lower jaw bone cancer. Much of the bone was already eaten away. We agreed to surgery, performed by the best surgeon ever, Dr. Collins, and our Zippy is now happy and best of all, healthy! The team was remarkable! Zippy was always cradled in their arms, especially by a certain woman, (whose first five letters of her name describe her perfectly). She dedicated her whole shift, to caring for our Zippy, and even came back, after her shift, to be with him!! Are you looking for the best place for your beloved pet? Please, look no further!
