Color me shocked! I was wary of this company after seeing reviews of offers coming in thousands of dollars below the online estimate. So wary I actually tried to cancel my appointment, but the guy I spoke to asked me to give them a chance and I figured I would just for my own due diligence. I expected the adjusted offer would decrease some and it did (the car is not perfect), but their offer on my 2014 Honda Accord with 146k came in at $10,800 (Original offer $12,700). Highly recommend! When I first did the quote, I didn't put the exact mileage so the offer was higher. I advised Kyle of my mistake before I went to see him. When I arrived and Kyle checked the car, the offer was lower than the original quote (as to be expected - my fault). However, Kyle was able to negotiate a slightly higher offer. He was about $500 off from what I thought. If I ever want to trade in my car for a new one, I'd inquire with Kyle first about what they will offer before I even consider trading a car in. I did the online estimate of my car and you schedule when you are able to bring your car in to get bought. They do say that it's an estimate and an evaluation during your meeting will determine the real cost. Website estimate for 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS about $2,700 In- person estimate $300 Guy said he checked with his manager and the cosmetic repair and a new radiator would bring down the price, and it wouldn't be profitable for them to resell. The next week, I repaired the radiator for $500, then webuyanycar called me again asking if I still wanted the $300... no thanks, my Toyota has another 100,000 miles. Bait and switch. They give a very high online valuation for your car then use questionable tactics to reduce the valuation significantly (they made up things that were wrong with my car). They reduced cars valuation by 30+% to make it the lowest offer of any other company. Took the car the CarMax and got exactly what the online valuation was. Super simple. I realized quickly after moving into the city that I no longer needed my car. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of selling it myself and had seen the TV spots for we buy any car so I decided to bring my car here to see what they could offer me. They say the appointments should take about a half hour, but unfortunately it took more than double that. I sat in an office and talked about the process and went over some paperwork with the sales guy (forget his name, sorry!). After that, I brought my car to the curb out front of the store and started it up so they could do a very VERY detailed inspection of the car. This included everything from the condition of the interior, the engine, and even the everyday scratches that every car has. I was selling a fairly newer Volvo so there weren't any major issues with it and they gave me a fair amount for the car. It was definitely less than if I were to sell it myself, but they resell these cars so I understand they need to make a profit. I can see others were surprised that final price offers are based on the actual condition of a specific car. I expected all internet prices to be just initial estimates. None to be firm until after the potential buyer had inspected the car and reviewed the Car Fax. For my car, both reduced the price a lot from the first internet prices (dents, accidents, needed repairs) and the values other dealers offered. Glenn's price (after inspection and Car Fax) was the best I could find. I agreed and he executed the purchase at that price. Nice guy. Very professional. I just sold my 2nd car to them. Like I said before, I see all the negative reviews but both of my experiences have been great. I sold a vehicle that was coming to end of a lease. I did not drive it much so I had equity in it, meaning it was worth more in private sale than the payoff value. the car was super clean, so I knew there would be very little they could quibble with. I left with a check for $3300 on a leased car. very happy. this is a business. if your car has been in an accident that automatically drops the price no matter how it looks. period. if your car has dings in it, they are gonna drop the amount they pay. they are looking for reasons to drop the amount. but I have sold them 2 very clean cars. and both times I dealt with Ryan. He was friendly, helpful, informative. I would absolutely sell another car to them. it saves me the time and trouble and sketchiness of a private sale. if your car is in good shape with a clean history, you will likely do better here than what a dealer will give for trade in. My on line experience was excellent. I was quickly contacted via email and a follow up phone call confirmed my appointment The bricks and mortar experience was less appealing. I arrived early for a 3 PM appointment There was no separate parking area - just a store in a strip mall and the store front was very no-frills with an unlocked door and no one inside. This did not feel safe! The only employee was in the parking lot with an earlier customer and made no effort to wave to me or call over and indicate he was aware of my arrival. At the time of my appointment, he was still with the earlier appointment and still had to test drive that car, input the evaluation and make the offer ! Luckily for me, the earlier appointment did not result in a sale, so I was delayed " only" 10 minutes - I would have been waiting much longer if the fellow accepted an offer and most likely I would have left. After the delay the fellow we dealt with was pleasant and explained everything clearly.After that the process was very efficient and the employee cordial It was apparent that the amount offered on line was never going to be the final offer. I felt the goal of the inspection was to find something- anything - to justify a lower price than that which had been suggested. I realize the physical description I gave had to be verified but I had been honest and there was little difference on inspection. Was the price I accepted fair? The offered $3,900 online for my car. When I walk in for my appointment 2 days later I had lost almost $400 in value because of "Market Fluctuations" . I completely disclosed all the problems with my car in the initial review and was still offered less than half of their initial offer. The staff was nice and courteous while they tried to take advantage of me. It was a classic bait and switch. Come in for $X, the person you meet with is a liaison for the man behind the curtain who's really making the deal, then get offered 1/2 $X after being worn down for over an hour. I was hugely disappointed with webuyanycar.com and would not use them again. The car I was selling was in good condition and with low mileage but despite this the agent spent the time trying to justify huge reductions on the price with minor scratches. It's all very well having a guaranteed price but unless the car is brand new and has never been on the road it is impossible to meet the guaranteed price. If you want a fast sale and are happy to accept 60% or less of the current market value then maybe webuyanycar.com is a good option but otherwise a private sale would return a much higher price. If you do want to go webuyanycar.com I would advise you walk out the door after they give you the first offer. CLASSIC DOUBLE TALK , DON'T BE TAKEN. Called Glenn at the Union NJ office of webuyanycar.com to sell a Hyundai 2013 Tucson. He offers over the phone and confirms in an e-mail a price of $9970 (trade-in value of my vehicle). The suggested retail for the vehicle is approximately $14,000. He requested the VIN number of my vehicle before I arrived for my scheduled appointment. He proceeds to inspect my vehicle, which was immaculate and offers me $7,200. I immediately responded, "your offer was 9,970." Glen indicated the Carfax report showed a minor accident in 2013 and was deducting $2,500 for the accident and $270 for "vehicle prep" (whatever that is) from the trade-in value of the vehicle. Consider the following: (A) He knew ahead of time about the accident, as I provided him with VIN number of the vehicle. (B) Any reduction in the value of the vehicle should be deducted from the retail value NOT the trade-in value. (C) Clearly, they'll tell you anything to get you to drive to their office and then try to take advantage of you. I immediately left his office and drove to a local Hyundai dealership, where after 30 minutes, I was offered $9,500 for my vehicle. A complete scam. Brought my vehicle in for an appraisal and the next day agreed to sell it to them. They confirmed the amount I would owe them as it was less then what I owed on the vehicle. The day I went to take the car to them, they call me back and tell me they were only offering me about $3,000 less then what we originally agreed upon. This was the sleaziest car-related business I've ever experienced. The senior manager (dan) and his employee (ervin) were rude, condescending, pushy, and dishonest all at the same time. Every used-dealer trick was used. We witnessed Dan make a fake call to a regional manager. Despite having a 4:00 appointment, we had to wait until 4:45 for "paperwork". When we tried to walk out, we were followed into the parking lot (had to shut the door in his face and drive away). Dan was also berating Ervin publicly, making the atmosphere uncomfortable for all. I had an appointment at the Cherry Hill office with Mitch or Ryan and they had quoted me a price for my car, it was a pretty fair price so I said I would come in. They bragged about how the process was so easy and friendly GUESS AGAIN!!! When I got there Ryan ran a report on my VIN and it came up to have a small fender bender back in 2008, it was fully repaired and there was no signs of anything even under the car since I had just had a mechanic put it on the lift and inspect it prior to that visit to WBAC, then he did a full inspection and came up with very minor things. Once that was complete my offer went down by 1800$ so I had told him that I have had a few offers on the car so he said he would see what he could do so he sent an email and in 5 min he said the best he could do was $1300 off the original price. I continud to inform him that the price he was giving me was too low and that I had offers for more and at that point he became very aggressive and belligerent. I told him I didnt appreciate his attitude and to give me the best price he could and I would go home and consider it. He wouldn't hear of it, he did not want me to leave with my car and actually began degrading me and questioning my decisions. I informed him again that I did not appreciate his questions and yet he continued to push and be nasty so I got up and left very annoyed. It was the worst experience and I would tell anyone who has a decent car and able to sell it yourself or in financial situation where you have time DO NOT use this company to purchase your car and do your research on what you car is truly worth otherwise you will get less. BTW he informed me that dealers want to make a profit of 2-3 thousand dollars on each of the cars they purchase so before you give them the profit try and get some more money in your own pocket instead. read more

If I could put no stars I would. This place is a complete scam. I owned a 2006 Bmw 325i, mint condition and a ton wanted items (sunroof, heated leather seats, etc.) I didn't drive the car around a lot and figured it's time to sell it. I went on the site as the rest of us did and thought that's a decent quote. I set up an appointment and got the car detailed. When I showed up for my appointment the guy was rude, argued with me(screaming) He was low balling me on price and I mean a lot.. and NEVER looked at my car!!!!!!! He said it was off the internet quote and that s what they use. Now I have a few problems with that. For one the car had very low miles, and the site ask you very basic questions. KBB.com lists my 2009 Honda Fit Sport with Nav (46808 miles) for, at worst case, $10,744.00 for a Private Seller Fair Market Value. Matt tried to tell me KBB is full of crap and that WeBuyAnyCar.com is the legitimate pricing guru. They offered me $2800.00. If you are on crack and need a fix, this is the place to sell your car. Don is the manager, John called me to confirm and then Matt was the guinea pig sent to the slaughter house. I am a Mechanical Engineer and my son is a mechanic, so we are very confident on car repairs and pricing. I would have sold the Fit for $9.000. He wanted to screw me over. One owner (me), clean title, and about $1700.00 in tires (which are good, but not to there standard of 6/32"), ABS sensor, and minor body scratches. The car is in excellent running condition. After a detailed inspection, seeing some damage (which I'd included in online quote information) to the side plastic panel and one tire with low tread, they downed offer to $4,600, but I pushed for and got $5,000 - which is the amount I was willing to sell to friends for, so I was satisfied with the price. Service was excellent - Ben in Glenshaw, PA was very helpful, even gave tips on what to look for in buying a new car. The 30 minute appointment was a joke - we were there at least an hour, but not left waiting anywhere or unattended. Ben was professional, courteous, and helpful and did not hesitate to send my information up the management chain for permission to give me the higher price.
