I had the pleasure of working with Thai for my wedding in 2019. He was recommended to me by a co-worker who also used him for his wedding. Thai made working with him super easy. We met a few times prior to the wedding to discuss our requirements and to sign the contract. At the wedding, he and his team did a fantastic job capturing all the little moments. He knew exactly which photos would look good and made sure we were able to get them. For example, he knew exactly what time we had to go outside to take sunset photos, so he came to grab us. He also made my husband and I, our families, and the wedding party feel comfortable, especially since we weren't used to taking professional photos. The only area of opportunity I saw was being more timely in terms of getting our photos delivered to us after the wedding. He told us that the turn around time was 4-6 weeks. I understand that Thai was super busy with weddings (and even his own!), but I had to ask a few times when I started noticing delays. We ended up having to check in several times via email and were able to get the photos after 10 weeks. There were some delays in getting the canvas print as well, and we ended up getting a refund on the wood slide box, which was listed in the contract. I have only written probably three Yelp reviews in my entire life and Thai definitely has to be one of them! Thai helped us with our wedding day photography and I just could not say enough good things about his work! Before contacting Thai, we have followed Thai's Instagram for the longest time and he's always on our top list of wedding photographer. About 9 months before the big day, before contacting any other wedding photographers, we met up with Thai and knew right away he's the one we want to hire. Thai shoot both our engagement and wedding day. He has very specific vision and style that he shots, and it happened to be what we like as well. Thai was the photographer for our wedding this past June of 2018. We did an extensive search of Bay Area photographers and ultimately decided to go with Thai based on his consistent high quality of work, unique visual style, prompt communication with us throughout the entire process, but most importantly, his passion for his what he does. It was one of the best decisions we made throughout the whole wedding process. The first time we actually got to see Thai in action was during our engagement shoot. We were very nervous and didn't know what to do. Thai knew how to take the pressure off and taught us some fun poses and which helped us relax and start looking a lot more natural. By the end of the shoot, we were having so much fun that our smiles were all genuine, which resulted in some of the best shots of the entire day. Thai's passion comes through in so many ways, but perhaps one example was when he spotted a big water puddle and went to experiment with whether he could produce a "reflection" shot. We saw how determined he was to get the camera settings right and position himself at the right angle to get that perfect shot, and really got to see his true enthusiasm for photography. After the shoot, we realized that we needed the photos quickly to put up on our website and give our guests enough time to RSVP. Thai happily accommodated us and started editing right away to get us a few photos that we could use, and this helped us immensely. On the day of the wedding, Thai and his second shooter helped put us at ease throughout the whole day while capturing every key moment that happened, as well as the candid moments in between. It was especially fun to see him work effortlessly with the videography team that we hired. We heard horror stories of photographers and videographers getting in each other's way, but Thai and the videography team would continuously help each other get the perfect photos and videos, and truly demonstrated a very high level of professionalism and experience. We also really appreciated the posing advice that Thai and his second shooter gave to us and our family members. Even in very large group pictures, they could quickly point out that someone needed to move slightly or remove sunglasses or tilt their head down. During the reception dancing craziness, Thai even remembered about a request that I had made a long time ago to take a close up shot of our wedding rings, and made sure to make it happen. The day after the wedding, Thai gave us a sneak peak which was a gorgeous photo that we were able to post on social media to thank our guests for coming. We had Thai take some family portraits for us for Christmas cards. He had a great demeanor and was even great and relaxed with our kids. He didn't pose us too much, instead just had us interact and took some great impromptu shots, which was great with my kids' attention spans. Thai is awesome! Thai is a young photographer very passionate and gifted in what he does. He has good eyes to capture those precious moments through unique angles and a high consciousness of the quality of light. We enjoyed all 3 of our photo sessions with him and his assistant shooters (2 engagements and 1 wedding day-of). A picture is worth a thousand words. While this is especially true for rating a photographer's work, it may not tell much about the level of services he/she provides. From browsing through his works we all know that Thai takes good pictures, but through our three sessions with him we really got to experience Thai's high quality of service. He has the greatest attitude, is extremely easy to work with and always up for any (crazy) picture ideas! Thai always showed up early for photo sessions. It proved to be especially helpful for our first engagement session when Thai and his second shooter showed up 45 min earlier to secure a good spot at the extremely busy café. After the café scene, we headed to the Embarcadero to capture some sun-set photos. However, we arrived a bit too early and the sun was still high up. Thai and his second shooter waited patiently with us amidst the cold weather for the sun to set. We were very appreciative for his dedications to good work and quality light! My husband and I are not very good at posing so Thai and his second shooter helped us a lot with poses and ideas. After the first session, I felt my husband and I have established a very comfortable working relationship with Thai which allowed up to be less shy and awkward in front of the cameras. We love the pictures from our 1st engagement shoot so much that we decided to do a friends and family session with Thai!
