I came in today with themes of ideas hoping that this business can help showcase some ideas of the elements that I present. I thought that is a fair request being this is their claimed speciality. The woman who was there to help, Anna, was not pleasant. She wanted concrete set ideas and told me, "My problem is you don't know what you want." This is only one of the other rude things I can name. I was standing there self soothing myself and at the same time feeling like I needed to use de-escalation skills that I teach at work. It seems all so ridiculous! As a business, wouldn't you think that a place would try to build rapport with you? Her tone was intense and did not fit the joyful energy I would want when planning for a wedding. I couldn't take it after a while. I am at least glad I made her aware that her tone was not appreciated and that I am leaving. I would not come back and I would not recommend for those still building the vision of your event.

He also worked with our florist (Zuzu's Petals) to ensure the space was flawlessly lit and the amazing floral work was enhanced. I vaguely remember that we got a proposal from some shi shi place that everyone said was a must have for a Chicago wedding. Len was easier to work with, and literally thousands of dollars less expensive. He runs a pretty no frills operation, you can choose what you want from his wide selection, and he makes it happen. I didn't have what I would call a "design experience" with Len. But I told him my colors, that I wanted a gobo with tree branches, and that I wanted the lights to change throughout the night while capitalizing on the skylight of the venue. Done and Done...he made it happen! He met me at the venue once (again, I was a nervous wreck) and that was all he needed to execute the vision. Thank you, Len. Between you and Zuzu's, Loft on Lake was even more breathtaking on March 8th, 2014!
