The nurses and other staff are responsive and caring, and have always been happy to take my calls to check in on her. The facility is also clean and pleasant. I do not understand some of these reviews, but with three stays now (current one in progress) for completely different rehab issues, I feel our experience has been consistent and satisfactory. I'm grateful to have Ignite as an option after my mother's hospital stays when she needs more expert attention than can be provided at home.

My father-in-law was admitted directly from the hospital late on a Friday. He was placed in a room…read morethat wasn't prepared and was far from the nurses' station. He couldn't walk on his own and needed the restroom; after pressing the call button, no one responded for over 10 minutes. I had to go find help, and a nursing assistant eventually came. When I spoke with Barbara, the Patient Experience Manager, she said 10 minutes was standard and that by law they have up to two hours to respond to a call button. That was unbelievable to hear. He was later moved to a room that was actually ready, but he sat there all day with almost no staff interaction--aside from food trays being dropped off and picked up. He is 82 with multiple medical issues, yet his PT didn't start for several days and no one checked on him. Thankfully, my niece visited; he had an accident, and she helped clean him and change his clothes. Otherwise, he was left wearing the same clothes for days because he couldn't change them himself. This facility is advertised as skilled nursing and rehabilitation, but I saw neither. Leaving an 82-year-old alone all day without routine checks is unacceptable. For the most part, staff were rude and acted like he was a burden. If you want rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and a caring, attentive team, look elsewhere.

I was there for two weeks. never had a shower because they have a rule, no shower if you have…read morebandages. I had one for recent surgery, one for a serious pressure sore. another rule, no shower, no clean sheets. my bed was changed twice the entire time, just because someone took pity on me. it took us a week or more to convince them I had orders for a special diet, and when the surgeon suddenly changed it, we couldn't convince them to switch. They are very careless about medicines. my endocrinologist insists that Synthroid must be taken four hours before calcium, and calcium doses should be split during the day. they ordered some glaucoma eye drops after three days. I was given them one time, and they disappeared. when I got home, I discovered they had prescribed some drugs that were habit- forming. I'm pretty sure I didn't take the, but I wasn't sure. They are understaffed. some aides and nurses are really rude, ,others are extremely nice. we found that communication between departments ,even between shifts in the same department, was non-existent. I do not recommend this place at all.

So, what can say about Ben Carrillo? This man works harder then anyone I know, he is always looking out for you and your wellbeing and asking if you're ok. all the time. This is a hated subject among the residents, 50 percent of the time, if not 75 percent of the time no one likes or eats the food that is served. I have watched as the residents return their trays and without eating anything but maybe the dessert. Come try it for yourself!!! I was fortunate enough to order out most of the time or I would have lost so much weight and became sick!!! Because I refused along with others not to eat what is being served. I'm not sure who decides what the residence have for their three meals, But I would bet whoever it wouldn't eat the food served here. Whoever you come watch a meal being served and a elderly man or women look at the food and with tears in their eyes try and stomach the food on the tray because there hungry and that's all there is. But as far as the nurses and everyone here there doing a great job with what they have to work with. Thank You for being there for me and the others. How could i forget this amazing woman Tracy AKA HOT SAUCE LADY One morning i ordered Breakfast Burritos and no hot sauce with the order, but Tracy in Physical Therapy came through She had some!!! Ok City View work on the food Quality for the elderly and i will recommend this facility. Word of mouth goes a long way. Now let's talk about this so-called drinking water. The water here for the patience taste bad, well it should because I find out the water for the patience's here is coming from the faucet in a room that is for other things not water for the sick. it was confirmed by a staff member I didn't get their name. The faucet has NO water Filter whatsoever, but I have seen several Water coolers throughout this facility, but I was told that they were for the staff members/employees. You would think at least one cooler per floor would be nice! Don't you think? once again this is not the nurses or the staff members on the floor this go's higher up people!! Let's get this problem fixed Let's do it for the elderly I believed they deserve at least that. The nurses and all the staff members are doing great, it was my pleasure getting to know each and every one of them staff I will honestly miss their company.

My mother stayed at Cityview for rehab for a few weeks recently. She is quite old and has Crohn's…read moredisease. The night before she left she had stomach issues and soiled her clothes badly. She was not discharged until the late afternoon the next day and when I went to get her belongings there was a clear plastic bag with those soiled clothes and feces still in the bag, they did not rinse them or wash them for us. I pointed this out and was told to leave those clothes so they would wash them and call me to pick them up. I never got a call from anyone and I called the director a few times over the next few weeks and she told me she would look into it and call me back. She has never called back at all. It makes me wonder what else happened when I wasn't there. This was very disappointing and I have never had this happen anywhere my mom has lived in assisted living or any other rehab facility. I would not recommend it to anyone.

In the skilled side the evening staff was not answering the call buzzer and my family member did not get changed or needs not meet. The staff member would say it wasnt there job, I have to call and raise heck for someone to make it their job. Then on long-term side, wound treatment was lacking after a hospital stay, I was informed how wounds should be properly bandaged and Ridgmar was not doing that. Again addressed issue. they always put it off on someone else. My family member catheter bag was fifthly on two occasions went to hospital and they were even disgusted by it. Watch your family member closely, make complaints in writing so you have proof.

Stifling even if you visit after 5 pm. Administration stays in their office so they don't have to inhale it. If you bring attention to it, they will turn around and say that you're raging or are being aggressive with them because you're wanting and needing and begging for care for your loved one or begging them to make sure your loved one has a safe space that is not littered by wheelchair parts in their room and random people's underwear thrown in her closet Or even worse when they put someone else's underwear on my mother. Anything in this facility that is not bolted down has the ability to grow legs and disappear and I do mean anything. They have known thieves that are residence in the facility yet nothing is done about it. The other residents suffer for this. Please note there are few nurses that are gold to the core!! I've given them reviews and accolades to other admin there and kudos but it stops there. Morale here is down for the entire facility bottom to top, admin to clinical, including the residents. This reflects clearly that there is a DIRECTOR problem, and it is evident that this place is not being directed in a very good direction. I have seen nothing but decline since my mother has been there at this facility under current management. It's just nasty. Residents have lost all morale and just rock back-and-forth in their doorways. There's no activities director so the biggest thing they do is play bingo for a soda. If you do not do anything else ever, please understand that this facility has violent offenders in this facility and there have been physical altercations while my mother has been there. We have to pick her up from the facility, take her to our home, bathe her ourselves, clean up the chronic fungus that she has from the facility that will not treat her Medically for it consistently, Bandage everything up, make sure we have new clothes for her before we can even sit down and enjoy a dinner and relax,. This is not a dramatization or an exaggeration. This is what our life is with a loved one at this facility. I have posted what 30 months ago looks like vs 18 months in this facility. We were told that my mother would get all kinds of cognitive therapy and physical therapy, but again, the residents are just there to breathe and the evening shift are all too happy to hurry up and get their medicine and food and make them get in their rooms because they don't want to deal with them. She explained everything well and asked questions to our mom in a gentle and compassionate manner. All the staff has been kind and friendly and placed a priority on generous care and recovery for mom. What more could we ask for? Additionally the facilities are modern and clean, and it is one patient to a room also for privacy. After extremely poor experiences in two other facilities the last two years, we would wholeheartedly recommend Advanced. Who you trust with the care and recovery of those you love is an important decision. With Advanced we have felt the right decision was finally made.
