We got some fish tacos as well as some buffalo chicken tenders. The buffalo chicken tenders were supposedly some ancho chili something or other, but they were ultimately just buffalo chicken tenders. Delicious food truck located outside of the dust bowl brewing company! The young men working the truck were very kind and welcoming. There's a really nice outside dining area with benches and fire pits where you can enjoy your meal. This was our first time trying Wedo's tacos and my fiance and I really enjoyed the food. 10 outta 10! Tacos run for just under $6 each, so it is a little on the pricier side but that's to be expected for a small business especially in a high demand touristy area. We were able to get 5 tacos and a loaded platter of nachos for around $50 including a tip. The Baja fish tacos were our favorite and seem to be a popular item on the menu. The fish was nice and crispy and packed with flavor. The avocado crema compliments it really well. I saw a recent review stating they tried a ceviche special, I didn't see that as an option during our visit, but if the owners see this please add it to your everyday menu! Im a huge ceviche fan and would love to try some next time! I highly recommend supporting this place if you're in the area. We'll definitely be returning during our future trips to Monterey! On our last night in Monterey, we went to Dust Bowl for drinks and dinner. They were unfortunately out of the baja fish tacos by the time we got there, so my bf and I each had a carnitas and chicken taco. They came out fairly quickly and I thought FOR SURE that the tortillas would tear. There was just too much meat and the salsa was all over the bottom of the container so certainly, this would be a messy affair. Well, I was wrong. Ohhhh man, Wedo did it! Very delicious. I frequently eat at food trucks especially nowadays with the restrictions to have food wherever alcohol is served. However, I am still suspicious of them. Wedo had fantastic customer service from a little blonde girl named Amanda. They were lightning fast making my food to order. The nachos I got were gigantic for $10. I added Barbacoa for three dollars. And then I didn't need to eat again for a long time. The sweet corn and the nachos was really special. Food: Overall, tacos were juicy and delicious! My youngest does not tolerate spicy very well, but the chicken nachos he had (he said was spicy), I tried them - not spicy - but maybe mild at best. Typically, he just would not eat them - but he loved the flavor and was happy to share (atypical for him) as it was a big serving! My oldest son had the chicken nachos as well with all the fixings and could not finish it....which never happens! Chicken taco was mix of dark and white meat and that was good, too. My hubs had barbacoa & carnitas tacos and really liked the carnitas best, although he was a little sad there was no crispy parts. My fave: Barbacoa tacos...tender, juicy, dripping deliciousness! I should have walked away. But I didn't.. As I walked up the smell that hit me was the same smell I remember from taking the trashes out to the back dock when I worked in a restaurant. IYKNK... it's that same smell that followed me home, caked into the bottom of my nonslip shoes. The "fried chicken taco" consisted of a rubbery, generic chicken finger on a tortilla with a couple pieces of iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes and mayonnaise drizzle. The regular chicken taco looked the part, marinated chicken, cilantro and onions. This turned out totally bland but was still the best in show.. The fish taco....
