Bruise

I really like this place, however, they should really put a warning or something on the wall next to the window corners. When I sat on the chair near one of the window counters, I turned the chair slightly to go get my drink and banged my knee very hard on the protruding wall. My peripheral vision is great, and I'm not a clumsy person so this was a bit of a painful surprise that made my eyes tear up a bit. It is quite an awkward position for the chairs. I thought it was just a superficial pain but it bruised by the next day and has been painful for a couple of days. I would suggest sitting at one of the tables instead to avoid the awkward corner wall thing, but other than that their lattes are good and I appreciate the efficient service. The prices are decent and I recommend their teas here.

horchata latte and Vanilla latte

This coffee shop is very charming when you walk in a classic looking cafe in the heart of the Central Cost Monterey. It reminds me of old New York style coffee shop. I had the horchata latte and my husband had the vanilla latte. awesome both had whole milk with our lattes. The horchata latte wasn't so sweet the way I like it. You can still taste the coffee and was not overpowering. The vanilla latte wasn't so also delicious. My husband also had while milk and also was o early too sweet. Both lattes were delicious and when we go back to visit Monterey on a couple months , we make sure to stop and get our craft coffee. They do have a lot to offer such as pastries, bagels, smoothies, Fraps , more craft coffee, and a small breakfast menu. This coffee shop is a must in Monterey.

I actually really liked the drinks here, very flavorful. The little place itself is so cutesy and they have outside seating so you can people watch as you enjoy your coffee or breakfast bagel. The coffees and bagels were out quite quick. The bagels themselves were quite good in the texture department, the flavor department was lacking a bit for me. I only really enjoyed it with lots of hot sauce which they very much do provide!!

Cortado and almond croissant

They know how to make excellent coffee in a European style. Amazing cortado and almond croissant.

In town for Big Sur Marathon and needed my Matcha latte. Got with oat milk and hit the spot. Mom liked her cappuccino as well. Big menu.

Many choices for coffees, teas, boba, frappe, smoothies, sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, crepes and omelettes. Great place.

Good coffee & tea cafe with lots of options for beverages both hot & cold. They also have alternative milks such as oat milk. Lots of espresso/latte options in a variety of sizes. They have a wide selection of pastries, baked goods and quiche options. Good for breakfast, brunch, lunch or snacks. Pleasant place to sit and eat or drink. Conveniently located downtown Monterey.

It's nice and cozy. The service was amazing and loved my Mexican Hot Chocolate! It was made with milk which makes a BIG difference. The hubby tried a new season latte and he enjoyed it!

We met Raul at the counter. He is by far the most friendly, kind and informed restaurant staff (about gluten sensitivity, gluten allergy and what it is to have Celiac) we've ever met. He explained how he prepares the gluten free dough separate, bakes it separate and plates it separate. Based on Raul's genuine concern and knowledge, my hubby decided to try it. Our family had various different sandwiches. (I had the very delicious Vegetariano.) We all agreed they were THE BEST SANDWICHES WE'VE EVER HAD...EVER...ANYWHERE...(mike drop). The freshly baked bread was incredible, all of the ingredients were fresh, even the side salad was amazing!!! The service was straight out of the old days, when people actually had pride in their work and genuinely cared about how you were treated in their establishment. We wish every restaurant that offers gluten free options could have someone as friendly, kind and knowledgeable as Raul. The ambiance was very cute/quaint inside and out. It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the sea lions. Raul came out to check on us and we could not thank him enough for his amazing food and hospitality. When we said how much we enjoyed the gluten free bread, he told us he sold the flour (from Italy) inside. My adult son immediately bought some for us to bake gluten-free bread at home. (We've since baked gluten-free bread and it was just as amazing) I've told everyone I know about this amazing place. It has the trifecta of what makes us want to return frequently: *****Food *****Service *****Ambiance Until next time Piccolo!

Note that this restaurant is on the ground floor and there is a different restaurant up top. We ordered the Mortadella Pistachio Panini and the Piccolo salad. The panini was absolutely awesome and the meat was sliced so delicately thin. The salad was good, but the panini was way better. Service was quick. Note: The restaurant doesn't have its own bathroom but there is a public restroom across the street. The public restroom was a bit gross when I went in (lots of flies swarming) and did not have a diaper changing table.

So I was driving down to Monterey from Sacramento for a quick little 36 hour golfing trip. When I…read morearrived in Monterey,I was starving so I quickly jumped on Yelp and found the closest breakfast burrito spot I could find-That's when I found 3 Mundos Sandwich Shop on Fremont Street, which is a sandwich shop that also makes breakfast burritos. When we arrived they had a small parking lot but busy because they do a lot of Door Dash and Uber Eats business. Once inside I took a quick look at the menu and saw they had breakfast burritos of either Chorizo-Sausage-Ham-Bacon or Veggie. I chose Chorizo breakfast burrito($10.39) The shop is run by the owner-he was the cashier and the cook. In talking to him,he was telling me that his family owns multiple Mexican small shops like this in the Juarez Mexico area and El Paso Texas area.Says that all the shops use the same recipe for their hot sauce that is served with the burritos. Once the burrito arrived,it was both heavy and warm.Once I cut it open,I was able to appreciate the craftsmanship of this burrito in all its chorizo, egg, potato and cheese glory-it was beautiful. As pretty as it was though,it tasted even better,I had planned on only eating half of it as I had a tee time in less than an hour but one bite led to another and then it was gone. I've had many breakfast burritos in my day and as unexpected as this is to say, this may have been the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Also the aforementioned family-recipe hot sauce that came with the burrito was so spicy yet so tasty--perfect combo to a perfect burrito. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Monterey area and you want to treat yourself to some upper echelon breakfast burritos-do yourself a favor and stop at 3 Mundos sandwich shop-a top tier food experience awaits.

At the time I stopped in, it was very quiet compared to previous trips, with no waiting to order and our pick of seats. I ordered a Ham Breakfast Burrito to try something different and it was fantastic. The tortilla had a nice char on it before being wrapped around the plentiful ham, potatoes, egg and cheese in its swaddling embrace. Each bite was fresh and flavorful, even beforr adding some of the house made salsa, which added an even bigger burst of flavor and some heat. I ate 1/2 on site, and rewrapped the other half and enjoyed that while at the golf course.

Well after my comical round of golf that day,I returned to the shop and I truly stumbled upon a true hidden gem of a sandwich shop. I went with a buddy and we ended up getting two types of sandwiches and we split them. We ordered the Hot Pastrami ($15.00) and the aforementioned Tri-Tip Sandwich($16.00) We also got a large potato salad they offered-not sure on pricing on that. So let's talk about the sandwiches. I really enjoyed the Pastrami quite a bit-it was for sure one of the best Pastramis I've ever tasted, not too fatty and perfectly seasoned. The Tri-Tip though-that was exactly what I thought it would be-true showstopper. You ever have a food item that was so good that it almost kinda pisses you off because you now know this level exists and most likely won't find it again like this?....Well that's what this item was-perfection Tri-Tip on a really well-made sandwich. Their potato salad was really high level as well, total creaminess with perfect balance of seasonings-I could never make mine this well. Their high level of food explained why when I arrived at the little market there were 7-8 people in line in front of us. Parking for this location is all street parking as this place is truly just a little neighborhood market located in a residential neighborhood-If you blinked when driving by,one could miss it. But that doesn't stop them from delivering very high quality food and a permanent stop on my must-visit list whenever I go back to the Monterey area...You should do the same-it's great.

I can never taste the cheese on the sandwiches, and if they don't give you enough sauce the bread is so dry. On this occasion we were near one so I said let's give it a try. I got their version of a chicken parm in the Dutch crunch bread with added tomato and lettuce. They also added the Ike's sauce which was weird because it's not listed on the menu and when the man read back to me what would be on my sandwich he didn't mention it. Thankfully it wasn't overbearing so I barely noticed it. But I don't know if they are rationing the marinara but there was barely any on the sandwich. The fried chicken also has no flavor or texture. So even though the sandwich has plenty on it it just lacks flavor. My husband got a BLT with avocado. Again it was just fine, nothing special and it lacked flavor as well. For $12 - $15 per sandwich I always want more from it. The sandwiches are a decent size and can be split into 2 meals. So the price is fair. But I just wish there was more going on with them flavor wise. We parked in the Trader Joe's lot behind the store. This place is also walking distance from plenty of hotels.
